from 411:

Dark Match: Monty Brown defeated Pat Kenny with the Pounce.

Xplosion Taping: BG James and Konnan defeated Petey Williams and Bobby Rude

Impact:

X Division 6-way: Hector Garza defeated Miomoto, Chris Sabin, Elix Skipper, Michael Shane and Frankie Kazarian when Garza pinned Miomoto with the Tornado Moonsault.

Abyss defeated D Ray 3000 in a squash match.

The Naturals defeated Sabu and Sonjay Dutt when the Naturals pinned Dutt. The Naturals came to the ring in AMW’s ring attire that they stole Wednesday night, and AMW attacked them before that match.

AJ Styles defeated Mr. Agulia with the Styles Clash. Afterwards, Kid Kash and Dallas beat down AJ until D Lo made the save.

The Main Event was Ron killings defeating Eric Young with the Ax kick. Dusty was on commentary for this and after Killings won, the lights went out. When they came back on, JJ was out and gave Dusty the EL KABONG with the guitar. Killings tried to save him, but got hit with the rest of the guitar. Killings got knocked into the audience apparently.

After the tapings finished, there was an extra 6 man tag, with D lo and AMW defeating Dallas, Abyss and Titus (Johnny Fairplay’s Bodyguard.) D lo pinned Dallas with the frog splash.

Why? He's just a jobber and Abyss is probably going to see alot of squashes on Impact to establish that he's a monster.

I'm just laughing at the fact that of every jobber squash Abyss has been getting lately, they've all been against D-Ray.

This show has 4 matches I want to see, 2 of them X-Division and the other 2 involving some X-Style wrestlers. I like it.

Yes. Go Naturals.

And didn't someone call Sabu and Dutt in the tag team thread?

Wow AMW attacked them before the match and they still won. Impressive. Eric Young was in the main event . . . weird.

And was Garza the one who pinned Kazarian clean on the first show? If he is he's getting a decent push, going over in that match.

I wonder if they'll do a Sabin - AJ match. How good would that be?

Very. They are the most consistent, and probably the Top two workers in TNA. When was the last time either of them had a bad, or even boring match?

I must take credit B-)

Looks like a very good show. Glad I finally remebered to set the ole VCR.

Sounds like a winner to me but I think TNA might want to tone down the multi-man X-division matches in order to let the personalities of their stars come out a tad bit more.

Multi man X-Division match's are good for the whole 'wow' factor though . . . the spots they pull of with 3 or more people make people sit up and take notice, or at least they did with me. I figure they should start off with a few of these, before gradually moving towards more single's match's to get the individual performers accross.

I'm waiting for Mike to come in and call it a "shitty spotfest."

I think the multi-man matches are to lure in the fans of Mexican wrestling who might not watch WWE because of the "entertainment" factor.

I haven't seen it --- but they tend to be shitty spotfests.

Its true, they do. Once you get past the Wow factor of seeing guys' most athletic spots, you're left with a bunch of guys flying around and absolutely no story whatsoever. And when that happens, you need to have a routing interest to work with and that won't happen if no one can tell the difference between Chris Sabin and Kazarian from a character standpoint.

This is true. You have to have a reason to care after the "Holy Shit." And Kazarian had a very entertaining character that obviously was clicking with fans, and it looks like they're downplaying it now that they're on Fox. Bad move, IMO. The X guys have to have characters of the novelty will wear off in a few weeks, max.

I don't see it. I really don't. I look at them similarly to how I looked at the lucha six-tags that WCW used in 1998 a lot. Fun to look at, but pointless.

That's true, but there is nothing wrong with "fun to look at", if they are providing something deeper later on in the show.

The point of the criticism of me was calling these matches shitty spotfests, which they, as you admit, tend to be.

Yeah, not arguing with you here Mike. Don't get the proverbial panties in a wad.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at ROH Wrestlerave, Styles and Sabin has a match. It was way too short, but during the time that they had to get it going, it was rocking and the fans were, of course, heavily into it.

I have that match on my computer. It's a solid match with some great spots like Sabin reversing AJ's Quebrada Reverse DDT into his Swinging Backbreaker move(The Bum Rush?) only to have AJ reverse that into a crucifix.

Posted

Damn that sounds impressive . . . I gotta get that match. I hope they build up to Sabin - AJ for the X-Division title at some point, that'd be an awesome PPV Main Event.

And yeah, they should probably play up Kazarian's character a bit more . . . but which one? The cocky-ladies Kazarian? They could always have him chat up some chick in the middle of the match. Or did they change his character since the last time I saw it?

Ahh...the shitty spotfest complaint. As I've said before, they're probably to lure in fans of Mexican wrestling, and since you're not one Mike, they don't care what you think. Neither do I. hmm....
