PLAGIARISM! Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 How often does everyone absinthisize? Granted, I avoid spirits mostly these days with good reason, but it's my first love. I drink wine now, like a twat. A night out now involves a bottle of wine and beer for the rest of it, but I know on nights where I've drank beer for alone for the same amount of time I've got more drunk. I guess wine absorption is my X men power.
Nighthawk Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 You always find an interesting way to phrase things... it's not the English thing, no, it's something else. All I ever drink these days is gasoline.

PLAGIARISM! Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 I'm fresh as a fackin' daisy! But yeah, I'm so glad I don't work sundays anymore. Slide me a bastard corkscrew. Nicely.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted July 6, 2004 Author Report Posted July 6, 2004 Malt liquors are the worst shit. Granted, it got me fucked up. Steel Reserve is a lager, as it turns out. Never noticed when I was drinking it. Anyway, I am presently drinking Modelo Especial. Tasty.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Here's a fun fact: Liquor is not sold in grocery stores in my city.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted July 6, 2004 Author Report Posted July 6, 2004 Nor in mine. There's a couple Albertsons in town that sell liquor, but it's sectioned off in a building attached to the main grocery store.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted July 6, 2004 Author Report Posted July 6, 2004 Furthermore, Banky once told me that you cannot even buy beer in a supermarket in Canada. Or something along those lines. Either he or another Canadian is welcome to clarify.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Furthermore, Banky once told me that you cannot even buy beer in a supermarket in Canada. Or something along those lines. Either he or another Canadian is welcome to clarify. Canada is a foriegn country.
treble Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 It depends on what province you're in. You can't buy any alcohol in grocery stores in Ontario, but you can in Quebec (and other places, too, I'm sure).
Guest HungryJack Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Not in Alberta or Saskatchewan either. Liquor stores in Sask are government run too, wbhich guarantees bullshit prices and shitty hours of buisness.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Furthermore, Banky once told me that you cannot even buy beer in a supermarket Can't do that here either. To get booze, you must go to a liquor store which is in/near the country.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Not in Alberta or Saskatchewan either. Liquor stores in Sask are government run too, wbhich guarantees bullshit prices and shitty hours of buisness. I assumed all Liquor stores were run by the Government. Bah. The LB closes down every night at 9, so any purchase after then is gonna cost an additional 3 bucks at an offsale. But yea, I certainly can't buy any booze at a conveniance store. If I could, I'd be the world's biggest souse. I think the fact alcohol is such a pain to get for me actually is beneficial.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Flyboy lives in the sticks. People frequently just make their own around here.
Spaceman Spiff Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 You can't buy liquor/beer in supermarkets in Pennsylvania, either. Need to go to a beer distributor or a liquor store.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Seriously? Goddamned Quakers. You can buy beer in gas stations in Indiana. Some of them, anyway. We've also still got whole displays of Ephedrine, fairly cheap cigarettes, and fireworks within half an hour's drive, no matter where you are.
Spaceman Spiff Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Seriously. I don't know how prevalent blue laws are around the country, but PA only recently allowed liquor stores to open on Sunday. However, I only think it's certain stores, not every one.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Can't buy beer on a sunday here, however, you CAN buy pornography. Edit: There's ways to get around the Sunday law if you've got a young gullible cashier, or an older one who realizes it's stupid. I went through this older woman's lane once, and she said "I can't sell you that on a sunday.." So I just ran it through myself and paid for it. Laws like that are easy to break.
Nevermortal Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 No liquor stores in RI are open on Sundays. NOT A ONE.
justsoyouknow Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Do you guys have Drive-Thru liquor marts where you live? We have a whole mess of them out here in Arizona.
justsoyouknow Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Apparently my state encourages drinking and driving.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Apparently my state encourages drinking and driving. I live in PA, they encourage it too..................just not on Sundays.
justsoyouknow Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 The horse and buggy drives itself, though.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted July 6, 2004 Author Report Posted July 6, 2004 ABC Liquor, which is like the biggest chain liquor store in Florida, has drive thru service.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 The horse and buggy drives itself, though. Yeah, but it's only fair to get the horse drunk too.....you wouldn't wanna be considered an asshole or anything.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 We've got a pizza hut with a drive-thru. Crazy, huh?
