Credit: PWTorch.com WWE Notes: PPVs, Summerslam, Ric Flair Some WWE notes..... The following news items are courtesy of Adam Lebow: Due to a contractual conflict, WWE Canada announced that they will not be showing the two new WWE PPV's - The Great American Bash and the non-titled RAW PPV (Halloween Havoc) - at Famous Player locations. Instead, Cineplex Ideon Cinemas will be exclusively carrying these PPVs for $11.95 (CDN) + TAX. Cineplex will also be showing the other 12 PPVs that are shown at Famous Players theatres. The only PPV that isn’t $11.95 + TAX is WWE SummerSlam which is $19.95 + TAX. WWE will be hosting a SummerSlam Brunch on August 15. It will be at Planet Hollywood and will have two sittings, a 10am and a 12pm (noon). Tickets are $30 (CDN) will net proceeds going to the Variety: The Children's Charity. Tickets are currently available only via telephone at (1)-416-596-STAR(7827) ext. 206. Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 Hooray for Tajiri and his, uh, little guys. I remember how depressing it was when he took time off after their last attempt to start a family resulted in a miscarriage.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 This is alittle old but, I thought this was interesting. Chavo Guerrero Sr. was apparently upset with WWE because they did not use him as a legend but as a comedy figure. Some sources state that Sr. had to be talked into dropping the WWE Cruiserweight Title to Rey Mysterio at the Smackdown taping last night by Eddie Guerrero. Eddie was worried that the wrong move could hurt the entire family's future in WWE. [PWTorch.com] I hope they don't decide to punish Eddie and Chavo Jr. for what Chavo Sr. But, seeing who Eddie has been feuding with I doubt they can hurt him even more. Tawren 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 - P.J. Wilson, the tag team partner of Harry Smith (Davey Boy Smith's son), had a private tryout with WWE recently. Wilson plans to go to college before joining WWE but has apparently been told by Vince McMahon that he has a job waiting for him. It's actually TJ Wilson, he wrestles for Stampede and did the 1/9 and 1/10 MLW shows. He also wrestled Teddy Hart back at ROH Glory By Honor II after having some excellent tours with NJPW in 2002-2003. He is a really, really good wrestler. Guest netslob Report post Posted June 19, 2004 i just thought of something...Steiner has been on his best behavior his entire stint in the WWE. he didn't act out once. i remember when i first heard they signed him, i figured it was only a matter of time before he'd flip out and tear someone's head off (literally). but he's been a damn good boy. he must be mixing some anti-depressants in with his 'roids. True, he is a really, really good wrestler, but he's also only 5'11 and about 200lbs, so unless he gets on the roids, he'll probably be used to make the hosses look good. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 They should bring back Nowinski as a manager. as for Test, they should show vignettes of him visiting Kevin Nash at Nash's mountain hideaway, and then Nash tells him about a special diamond, which one WWE superstar has, which will give Test superpowers, but Test has to find out who it is. Dark Age 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 I thought that they had forgot about Tajiri. Hopefully, they throw him back into the whole Benoit and friends vs Evolution feud as soon as he's back. I agree with whoever said feed Steiner to Eddie. I wouldn't mind a Benoit/Steiner match, either.

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 - There is some talk of adding a second WWE training ground outside of OVW. One potential spot is the Trax training center in Connecticut. WWE is also looking to team up with a New England based indy promotion to serve as a developmental area. There are only two New England-based indies that are really worth a shit, and those are Chaotic Wrestling and New England Championship Wrestling. NECW has future stars in Eddie Edwards and "The Promise" Antonio Thomas, and a solid roster that knows how to get fans into a match. Plus, Mercedes Martinez is a pretty damn good women's wrestler. VERRRRRRY stiff. So, if WWE gets a NE indy to be its developmental territory? It should be NECW. They do tours all over New England, and the shows are usually quite good. SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 ^True.^ What about saying fuck in his debut? Well it WAS on PPV. What? I don't remember that. Is it on the DVD? No, just the live PPV. Steiner was actually getting entertaining after he turned heel (i.e. his stuff with Jericho before Survivor Series last year).
