CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 I don't know about the Bashams. I mean, they go from Shaniqua to Dawn Marie? It just seems strange to me.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 Honestly, I'd break up The Bashams. Make it a Velocity exclusive angle for the time being, like the Stevie Night Heat angle was to Heat. Build up a split, because in singles they could both do better than what they're doing now. Jordan should be placed with Jindrak and Long, not because of the race factor with he and Long, but because Long is a great talker and Jordan needs someone like that in his corner. Guest Wondermouse Report post Posted June 28, 2004 The thread is called 'how to save Smackdown!' You do the math. No on advocating giving Paul London a huge push or anything, just give him so air time. Paul London is like a penguin in the dessert right now. So you say... so you say it right. humongous2002 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 I agree too with the RVD stuff. But an RVD/Eddie feud won't make Smackdown great. RVD isn't the superstar certain posters (humungous whatever his name is) says he is, he's proven to be unproffessional and unmotivated. Like it or not the guy IS a superstar, he's still over with the fans even though he's been used as an afterthought since the ending of 2002. I agree with the fact that he is not as motivated as he used to be but WWE hasn't given him any reasons to be motivated. Cena is stale as a Dudley and Book is a jobber to the stars, the obvious choice is RVD.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 You gotta remember one thing humongous2002: RVD hasn't resigned yet. Why push a guy where there is a possibility he won't be with the company in a month from now?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 RVD has re-signed, and Cena isn't nearly stale yet. He hasn't even hit his peak.
humongous2002 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 (edited) I agree with you but WWE hasn't given him any reasons to resign a new contract either. Wait he did re-sign? That's news to me. Edited June 28, 2004 by humongous2002
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 RVD has re-signed, and Cena isn't nearly stale yet. He hasn't even hit his peak. Oh, I thought that everything was laid out and all he had to do was resign. Nevermind then. I was sort of hoping that Cena would lose the US Title and win the WWE Title from Bradshaw. God his raps have been painful lately
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 I'll take Cena's supposed lame raps (even though I still dont' mind them) and him being over before I take Bradshaw seriously as World Champ. I really don't care that he's a bad wrestler. Okay, I do, but that's not my main concern. I'm just concerned that this guy went from jobber tag team to top heel in a span on two monthes. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2004 Cena's raps are no longer the entertaining part of his act. It's the attitude he brings that's engaging. He's honing the "grab my nuts and give the world the finger" character to near-perfection. The pandering to the fans makes sense now, since such a person makes as much of an exhibition out of his defiance and attitude as possible.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2004 Here's how I'd fix Smackdown, starting with tonight's tapings: The police will come to the arena to arrest the Undertaker for murdering Paul Bearer. He is shot to death while attempting to resist arrest, possibly setting up another return at Summerslam. (Hey, that's not as crazy as other shit they've done lately.) Paul Heyman and the Dudley Boyz are arrested for criminal conspiracy just moments after dropping the Tag Team titles to Akio and Sakoda. The plan is for the charges to be dropped after a few weeks, as Bearer's only living relative (Kane) refuses to press charges. (Yeah, I know that's not how it works, but its the only way I could think of to keep them on TV.) Kurt Angle gets fired as general manager by Linda McMahon for allowing the criminal events at "The Great American Bash" to occur. Eddie Guerrero wins his rematch against JBL, and regains the WWE Title. JBL is named new GM by Linda McMahon, but JBL will not be allowed to wrestle as long as he is GM. GM JBL will name Kurt Angle number one contender on next week's show.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted June 29, 2004 I think the only real solution is a sympathy bullet to the skull of this show.
Fro 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2004 She proved to be a fine valet with the Impact Players in ECW. Why not capitalize on that? Instead of only being on TV when the monthly bikini/bra&panties contests occure, take advantage of her bitchy personality. She does that pretty well. What about the Bashams? Give them a personality and team them with Dawn. They have personality if the WWE will just allow them to use it. Since personality will allow them TV to learn the basic style and give the company another solid heel tag team. But for goodness sake, give Damaja a better name than DANNY. I wouldn't mind seeing Jackie back with the Bashams like she was in OVW. They had quite a bit of charisma together.
The C Man 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2004 Personally I think the whole Bradshaw title reign is even worse than first thought. If you think about it it screws up the potential Angle-Eddie feud, which should've run along the following lines: Evil GM Angle throws everything, and everybody, at Eddie. Eddie always manages to prevail, keeping his title while Angle gets more and more desperate. In a final act of desperation Angle throws the Big Show, the man who 'ended his career' at Eddie. Again Eddie prevails. Angle then does a U-turn and resigns as GM saying that he failed to do his job correctly, he let a personal vendetta get in the way and that is no way for an Olympic champion to act. He says that he is ashamed of what he has put Eddie through and wants to apologise. Eddie - being the classic forgiving face - accepts Angle apology. Angle then leaves. Maybe a week or so later Eddie brings Angle back (retirement ceremony?, something). Angle is still in his wheelchair and then pulls a SWERVE~! and attacks Eddie in a Sandman-Tommy Dreamer style. That would happen right on time for Angle to end Eddie's title reign at Wrestlemania.
