Skywarp! 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2004 It probably has to do with the fact that if the word "Smackdown" wasn't first, people would think it was more directly related to the shitty "Raw" brand of games. Being called "Smackdown!" is the popular franchise's identity, where for the other two systems, changing the name and trying to emerge as a brand-new entity (Like "Wrestlemania" to "Day of Reckoning") could only help. Â When you Pedigree someone or slam them through the cell, the fall isn't shown properly so it doesn't have anywhere near the impact that it should, the whole screen/ring should shake or something with it being shown in slow mo. Orton's new music won't make it into the game in time because Evolution just kicked him out a few weeks ago.  As for Palumbo, I'm assuming that Yukes will just give him his F.B.I. look since Yukes is notorious for not updating certain wrestlers with their attire from the year a new Smackdown game is made (ala Steven Richards in the blue attire with shorter hair from 2002 on HCTP, a 2003 game). Palumbo, though, was in the F.B.I. up until March or April, when he was drafted to Raw, and WWE didn't really use him much until just a few months ago on Heat.  Not that I care, since Nunzio should have replaced Palumbo anyway. The games already out of production...has been for a few weeks now, so I doubt that. Right now they're just doing the 'fine tuning/glitch working' right now, and probaly the copying. Meh..he's someone I'd occasionally play as. Hardcore Holly to...I mean I hate the guy, but for some reason I feel like playing as him. His character model just looks cool... Â I have no complaints about that, although if they had somehow been able to put it in Evolution's theme would of course still be available. Â Heh, A-Train gets no love on my PS2. I even banished him from any of my seasons on HCTP. Â I hated HCTP, but on SYM I made him a thinner, uglier Vader in casuals. Â Since I don't really have to have wrestlers that were left out look like they should, it's nice to give different movesets to wrestlers that suck and get use out of them. I prefer it that way than how it is in No Mercy, where you're stuck with the default move sets. Â So make Palumbo...uh...a more tanned Razor Ramon with curlier hair, or something.
