strummer 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Kentucy Fried Movie Airplane! Top Secret! Ruthless People Naked Gun I would say Airplane! just slightly edges out KFM. KFM is absolutely hilarious, but some of the references are dated. Airplane! holds up perfectly and has just some unbelievably funny sight gags. Top Secret! is underrated, but not in the the same league as the other two. Naked Gun is incredibly funny, but some parts in the middle are a little slow. Never really cared for Ruthless People, but then again Zuckers/Abrahams didn't write it, only directed. Anyone?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 i wasn't a huge fan of the Naked Gun series but Police Squad! kicked serious ass...

eiker_ir 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Definitly Airplane! is the best, i can watch it today or in ten years and it wouldn't be dated, and still be funny. "- Ted: Surely you can't be serious! - Dr: I am serious. And don't call me Shirley" the Naked Gun movies in second because i watched them so damn much when i was little. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Am I the only one who finds Airplane doesn't hold up as well with time? That one guy Stephen Stucker just kills every scene he is in. I'd say both Top Secret and Naked Gun are easily funnier. While I'd say Naked Gun is probably my favorite, Top Secret is one of the most underrated comedies of the 80s. notJames 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Top Secret... if only for that smidge of a wrestling scene they had with Chocolate Mousse. "Vive le France!"
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Zucker also directed Scary Movie 3. If you're going to throw Ruthless People in there, might as well toss that one in as well.

BrokenTiger 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 I always have a soft spot for the Naked Gun Trilogy. Out of the bunch, loved the first movie. Haven't watched Airplane for the longest time...but I remembered being vastly entertained by the movie.
nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 KFM- I had no idea what it was when I saw it and was pleasantly surprised. Missed the final 15 mins though.
strummer 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 and where's Ghost? I was trying to limit the choices to movies where all 3 were involved, so Ghost is out the window, along with Scary Movie 3. I'm not sure about High School High or the Hot Shot series, but I believe not all 3 were involved in those. The last movie they did together was the first Naked Gun in 1988. (David Zucker directed and Jerry Zucker and Abrahams co-wrote it with him)
