Yes, I still think he'll win.

Kerry picked Edwards, which is, I suppose, the best choice he could have made given his choices (his best choice would have been probably McCain, but perhaps McCain realized that if he went along with that, he'd do nothing but divide the party). But Edwards, as I said before, is at best an unproven quantity, and regardless you know that the Bush campaign likely believed he would be the selection and have planned their campaign accordingly.

Bush will win. It'll be close but I don't think Bush is in any real danger of losing the election at this point.

I don't see how Kerry can win if he can't even break a stalemate in the polls with all of the scandals of the last 6 months. It's also sad to see people like him less the more he shows his face. I think Kerry's peaked basically and can really only shoot himself in the foot at this point. He also has to avoid coming across like an asshole, which he's already failed to do a few times. The debates will be very dangerous for Kerry because it could be all over for him if he pulls a Gore at one of them.

His other big problem is other members of his party. He needs to get ahold of Ted Kennedy and tell him to STFU about the war in Iraq. Hilary Clinton's "we're taking your tax cuts away" speech is another thing that could end the end hurt Kerry.

Bush still has his VP to choose and he could put a serious dent in Kerry's campaign by bring out Powell, Rice or Rudy as his next VP choice.

Politics aside, I think it would be great for Bush to win just to see the hysteria the Left will perform upon a successful re-election campaign.

Also, I would like to see Terry McAwful's reaction to a Bush win and Republican majorities in Congress. His spin over the last few elections have been great...

I'll ask you all again, now that a VP pick has been announced, do you think Bush will be declared the winner on November 3rd?

Absolutely. Kerry is a terrible candidate and, though this is being ignored, Bush is leading or tied in a ton of polls --- and this was AFTER a patch of bad crap from Iraq.

Besides, if more people see the picks of Kerry trying to show that he doesn't hate guns (or ask him to explain how he can be for abortion and still think life begins at conception (or, in simple terms, he supports murder)), this could be a cakewalk. As Chris Matthews once pointed out, Americans tend to like the guy who looks more like an outdoorsman than a guy who lives in an office.

I don't think using the f-word in such sacred places like Rolling Stone and a slope in Aspen mean much anymore since Cheney's only been using it in the SENATE CHAMBER.

1) He said it to Pat Leahy, who quite frankly deserves to hear it from every person on the planet. Hell, maybe Cheney said PHUCK you to him instead.

2) A VP swearing and a Presidential candidate swearing are slightly different beasts.

Cheney is the VP and might not even be on the ticket this time around. Kerry is the man people are voting for and he doesn't have the charisma to get away with things like Clinton could.

Irrelevant "it's okay because I agree with him" garbage.

Yeah, which guy's the one who already has an office? Oh yes, and IN THE SENATE CHAMBER. Not after business heading out to lunch, in the friggin' Senate.

Again, it's PAT LEAHY. He deserves a good PHUCK YOU as much as Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell. Hell, if he punched him and kicked him in the nuts, I'd applaud.

So, a candidate swearing at the men who are there to protect him because he's a clumsy oaf is peachy?

Bush should consider picking a new running mate, but you probably won't see that happening.

Cheney actually does serve a vital role. He is a MAJOR cog in the fund-raising apparatus and, like him or not, he doesn't seem out of place everywhere, something John Kerry has a problem with.

No Mike.

And to contribute, Edwards is from my county, so it's safe to say he'll win all of the districts that make up my area, maybe more.

I doubt he'll win NC, but he'll sure as hell make it tough for Bush to win.

Stop the incessant flame-baiting. You're simply trolling here. Go elsewhere, where your trolling is appreciated.

Don't you post at 411 Mike? I've seen this type of stuff at 411 too, considering it's where Nemesis got his start.

And anyway, this is the best possible choice for Kerry, now that Richardson withdrew himself from the running. It's too bad, because the guy who have shored up the Southwest.

Did I name names? No. We all are capable of talking about an election without wiping boogers on each other.
