I wouldn't say Victor Martinez and Moises Alou are scrubs. Either way, I say the scrubs. Although i'm still puzzled why Melvin Mora doesn't even get on the online vote for the last roster spot.

well not all the scrubs are true scrubs. Lowell, Martinez, and Soraino have all been allright this year but not as good as the other All Stars.

 

Giambi vs. Harvey was a real dogfight, so was Renteria vs. Jeter.

15 day D.L. with a hamstring injury. If he was on the list and got voted in (not likely..) they'd still have to pick someone else.

 

Javy Lopez should have been the Snub Catcher too.

I could come up with worse scrubs than that. To me, the scrubs are the guys who put up gaudy first half stats that are out of line with their career marks. If we're playing an ACTUAL game, the snubs will beat those guys easily.

(After taking a few days off for the initial injury, he returned for one at bat, blasted a homerun, came up limping and had to benched again and was then DLed. He's a Kirk Gibson for our time!)

Soriano had the worst first half of the 4 All Star 2nd baseman. So he's on the scrub team by default.

I definitely wouldn't consider Soriano a scrub. Why is Ichiro a scrub though? Hes having a fine year, one of the only bright spots on one of the worst teams. Batting .318, 111 hits, 30 RBI's.

If this were an actual game, the Snubs would win this one going away. I gess we'd have to see the rest of their pitching staff to accurately tell, but there are plenty of pitchers having good years who aren't on the All-Star team, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not sure on Ichiro either. Both Soriano and Ichiro are bright spots on there teams(even though the rangers are good all around). I say remove those two from the scrub list. They deserve to be all-stars.

It's a pretty even race between these two for the "scrub" team.

Belliard has an OPS 34 points higher than Soriano, who has a mere .686 OPS away from hitter friendly Arlington.
