Kizzo 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2004 I"m still impress by the NFL's latest concept which is the NFL Network...I never thought a 24/7 football channel could suceed with football season lasting through September to January...but it did.... While watching the NFL Network and all the shows that the network airs......I was thinking to myself...this is what the WWE's newest channel should be like..... WWE 24/7 channel should have shows like....the NFLs "Total Access" that goes behind the scenes...and has all of the latest news going around the RAW and Smackdown brands....new talent that could be appearing in WWE soon....and interviews with the stars...... Another show idea on the NFL Network is "Game of the Week in HI DEFINITION"....is a concept that WWE 24/7 should pick up.....but could be named..... Match of the Week in HI DEF...with some famous wrestler giving commentary......would love to see a great match that aired on RAW or Smackdown viewed in HI DEF glory.... And my favorite show on NFL Network is "NFL Replay" that shows games that aired on FOX and CBS in the past....not highlights but the actual show.....wouldn't mind seeing WWE Replay Nitro..RAW...Saturday Night's Main Event...or any of the shows in the past...in there full broadcast.... WWE has so many options that can make this channel very sucessful......and with some creative ideas....making it more than a show that airs repeats of the past.... Eclipse 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2004 Those ideas sound pretty sweet. I would totally like the channel way more if at least some of these ideas are implemented...

geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2004 I would prefer just air events uncut. I want to see an entire event not just pieces of great matches. I would rather the network just show old shows and ppvs in order 24/7 nonstop. I would start some shows in the early 80s, some in the late 80s, some in the early 90s, some in the late 90s, and so on. That way you would have a taste of everything.
TheBigSwigg 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2004 You could also have shows documenting great feuds from the past, like Flair-Steamboat, Hogan-Andre, Bret-Owen, etc. You could even have the wrestlers in the match talk about it...in KAYFABE. Or not. You could also have documentaries on wrestlers favorite matches. Have all the guys backstage vote on a great match, and then let them all talk about what makes it great. ANd how about a "viewer request show" that has matches requested by viewers?
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2004 WWE 24/7? I thought it was also going to include the WCW and ECW catalogs that WWE now owns!?!
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted July 15, 2004 I would rather it run more like ESPN Classic did during it's first few years.
geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2004 How is that, I did not have ESPN classic.
Kizzo 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I agree...WWE Replay or whatever they may call it...should have a showcase past shows...uncut...no editing(besides the original editing)....and etc....Full Nitro...Full Thunder and so on..
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 WWE 24/7? I thought it was also going to include the WCW and ECW catalogs that WWE now owns!?! It will. It includes over 750 hours of footage ranging from WWWF/E long history, NWA 1981 to The final Nitro of 2001. ECW's 8 years of history, they have brought various other former promotions and I believe that includes AWA. They even purchased International Property for the sole purpose of DVD and 24/7. It's just called WWE 24/7 because WWE is the company that owns the network. Just like ESPN CLASSICS doesn't only air stuff related to ESPN...

Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I beleive they own SMW as well, and some small NWA territories from back in the day.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I'm mostly curious how much Puro does Vince own. I believe on The Von Erich owned stuff is the only property Vince is having trouble obtaining.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 And Bill Watts I beleive as well. Not 100% sure. There is some other old outlaying territories refusing to give him the rights/libraries. Also, I beleive, though this was rumored, that at one point Vince wanted to pick up the XPW library. Though I have no idea why he'd want it, cuz its doubtful he'd ever show it off. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 He just wants to own EVERYTHING he can. People don't realize how much of a mark he is for wrestling. He'll likely end up buying the ROH stuff as well.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I'm suprised he hasn't contacted Rob Fagstein about all of his privately shot ECW crap.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 why would he want shitty hand cams when he already owns the true masters.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 For some of the house shows and early ECW shows that weren't televised or truely taped. Theres a few that Rob has that his versions are the only that exist. Plus, I imagine Vince might want some of the shoots that he has of ECW, WCW, WWF, NWA guys. Guest TheJewof2001 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I am not sure if the ratings would be good enough though. Then again, does anyone know how well the NFL Network does? Does anyone even have it?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I don't think channels like NFL Network has ratings system.
Guest TheJewof2001 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Why not? They are on cable, so they should get ratings.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I thought NFL Network was a Pay Channel or a part of a package.
Guest Mr. Wrestling Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Didn't Watts sell out to Crockett meaning that Vince would have that since he bought WCW from Turner who bought JCP/WCW from Crockett who during that time bought Mid-South? Make sense, not sure what ever happened to the Von Erich's territory.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 would love to see a great match that aired on RAW or Smackdown viewed in HI DEF glory.... HD takes up a lot of bandwith for cable and satellite companies. So few people would want to watch these shows (which aren't nearly the draws they used to be) like this that all it would do is cause the channel to not be carried by most providers. That said, I would like to eventually see PPVs go HD. It would give people incentive to order the show instead of wait for the DVD, and the 16:9 aspect ratio would be really helpful for the Royal Rumble (see more guys at once, or see the whole ring without having to zoom out real far)
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted July 16, 2004 How is that, I did not have ESPN classic. Full games and sports bios. No Cheap Seats or condensing all the games into an hour of nothing.
