I'd like to take this time to ask if the rule for "Once you are banned you will not be allowed back" still counts, since of course it isn't stated here anymore. If that's the case then any and all bannings can be looked at as a PR act to make people happy.

I'll be honest and say that I don't sweep the board for PBPs every day, so if some get back in and I'm unaware of it, then you can pretty much bet that a good handful of the other mods are unaware too.

 

The only difference is that when they post in folders I don't go into regularly, will they be found out and what have you.

 

EDIT: And as it pertains to Dave O'Faggot I don't post/go to any of the boards he posts at, so I wouldn't know about sigs and stuff.

Rant's board is good for a laugh because its full of iB and Dave fighting. Its like watching a never ending battle between Kindergarteners.

 

I have no problem with Coey since he doesn't give me any realy shit. Still, he was used as an example.

Well, that's YOUR problem. If you care so much about this, tell as many mods as possible (giving proof that it is a PBP). If one ignores you, try another.

Ok, lemme get this straight...

 

Mod team says "If you believe somebody is a PBP privately contact us, show proof and we'll look into it."

I do so, with a couple mods

They ignore it and in the end its my fault because you have staff members that don't give a shit unless they're rubbed the wrong way?

 

C'mon. If they aren't going to do what they agreed to do when they were made a mod then they should just resign. Rather than make 4 or 5 mods that each do one thing, how about finding one who is willing to actually do everything?

We spoke of those tools in the Mod CP used to look up IPs and what not. It takes literally 3 minutes. The staff doesn't take 10min a week using those to check and see if the people have come back.

 

I give quite a few people a mulligan because there are a few people here that have alot of shit in their regular lives. That's not to say though that there are a few people here who have mod powers and are just plain L-A-Z-Y.

It's better to not obsess over PBPs still posting until they begin to start shit again. Some people deserve a second chance and are never given one. Even if the PBP in question doesn't deserve a second chance, there's usually more constructive things to be doing, site-related or not, than chasing down and banning them at every opportunity.

 

And I would say "here, they're banned, now shutup and go do something else besides vainly trying to one-up someone on the interweb, PLEASE" in the place of "PR act to make people happy".
