I'm going to be helping hitman with some of his booking from now on (including posting shows). We've decided that we're going to start posting television results in addition to PPV shows. For the time being, these results will be less detailed than PPV shows.

 

Monday Night Raw

April 3, 1995

- Hakushi pinned Bob Holly following a moonsault from the top rope.

- Lex Luger & Davey Boy Smith defeated The Heavenly Bodies when Luger made Jimmy Del Ray submit to the "Torture Rack."

- Razor Ramon pinned Mike Bell following a "Razor's Edge."

- Shawn Michaels & Psycho Sid came out for an interview. He wanted a rematch against Davey Boy Smith. Then, out came Davey Boy to interrupt the Heartbreak Kid. He said that a rematch was fine by him. The match was made for next week.

- Bret Hart defeated Jerry Lawler by disqualification after Hakushi interfered.

 

Monday Night Raw

April 10, 1995

- Adam Bomb defeated Tony Devito after a chokeslam.

- Vince McMahon interviewed the new WWF Champion Diesel.

- "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig pinned Henry Godwinn after a "Perfect-Plex."

- Jacob & Eli Blu defeated Ben Jordan & Tony Roy when Jacob pinned Jordan.

- Davey Boy Smith pinned Shawn Michaels after Psycho Sid turned on Michaels. WWF Champion Diesel came out to make the save for the Heartbreak Kid. Diesel was able to make Sid leave the ring when Lex Luger & Davey Boy Smith came in and attacked Big Daddy Cool. It was then revealed that Sid, Luger & Davey Boy had formed an alliance together.

 

Monday Night Raw

April 17, 1995

-Jean -Pierre Lafitte pinned The 1-2-3 Kid after delivering the "Cannonball" from the top rope.

-A video aired showing what happened the previous week and updated the condition of Shawn Michaels.

-The Headshrinkers defeated The Brooklyn Brawler & Barry Horowitz when Fatu pinned the Brawler.

-Psycho Sid pinned Rick Myers after a powerbomb.

-Vince McMahon interviews Sid, Lex Luger, Davey Boy Smith & Jim Cornette. They announce that they are forming an alliance--Camp Cornette.

-WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett defeated Aldo Montoya by submission to the figure-four leglock.

IMO, you should of kept the angle at WM X where Owen defeated Bret to kick off the show, only for Bret to capture the Title at the end.

 

As great as Warrior-Savage was, I feel Hogan-Warrior 2 would of drawn more as the Main Event for WM VII.

April 24, 1995

-WWF Champion Diesel pinned Bam Bam Bigelow after a "Jackknife" powerbomb. After the match, Ted DiBiase began to belittle Bigelow over his loss. Bigelow was about to attack DiBiase, but he was jumped from behind by Tatanka and the rest of the "Million Dollar Corporation." Diesel came back out to make to the save.

-Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned Duke Droese after a "Pedigree."

-Tatanka & Ted DiBiase as interviewed backstage about their earlier actions.

-"Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig defeated The Roadie by disqualification by disqualification when Jeff Jarrett interfered.

-Razor Ramon pinned Raymond Roy after the "Razor's Edge."

-Jim Ross interviews Diesel & Razor Ramon. Ross announces that the main event for In Your House will be Diesel, Razor & Shawn Michaels against Camp Cornette.

-Vince McMahon interviews Bob Backlund in regards to Backlund attacking Bret at In Your House. Backlund explains that he still has “unfinished business” with Bret and goes into a rant about how people like Bret Hart are corrupting the youth of America. Bret comes out and brawls with Backlund before he (Backlund) runs away.

-Man Mountain Rock pinned The Roadie after a powerslam in a KOTR Qualifying match. After the match, Jeff Jarrett ran in and smashed a guitar over Rock’s head.

-Kama pinned Bill Weaver after a “Death Valley Driver.”

-Shawn Michaels pinned Mabel after a superkick in a KOTR Qualifying match. After the match, Razor Ramon and Diesel came out to celebrate with Michaels.

-Vince McMahon interviews Bret Hart about his current feud with Bob Backlund. Bret says he's tired of Backlund interfering in his business, and challenges him to an "I Quit" match at KOTR. Backlund comes out and accepts Hart's challenge.

-Owen Hart defeated Billy Gunn by submission to the "Sharpshooter." After winning the match, Owen refused to release the hold. This brings out Billy's tag-team partner and brother Bart Gunn, who runs Owen off.

-Psycho Sid defeated Mike Khoury after a powerbomb.

-Kama pinned Gary Scott after a "Death Valley Driver."

-The Undertaker pinned Jeff Jarret after a "Tombstone."

I'd like to announce that I'm back. I had some computer problem over the holidays that prevented me for getting online.

 

JMA and I have discussed it and for the time being we're only doing to be doing the PPV results like we were doing before. The working plan at the moment is to continue doing this until we reach WrestleMania X-Seven. Once we get to that point, then we will start adding more detailed results to the TV shows, as well.

 

I hope everyone enjoys our work, and we look to hearing everyone’s opinions on what we're doing.

You have got Lex Luger wrestling for the WWF in late 1992. This is not possible, due to the one-year no-compete clause Luger had in his WCW contract after he left on February 29, 1992.

- Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig (8:23) after Jeff Jarrett interfered and then Helmsley delivered the “Pedigree” in a KOTR Quarter Finals match. ** ½

(Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Bob Holly to qualify. “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig defeated Owen Hart to qualify.)

 

- Shawn Michaels defeated Lex Luger (8:53) after a superkick in a KOTR Quarter Finals match. ** ¼

(Shawn Michaels pinned Mabel to qualify. Lex Luger defeated Bam Bam Bigelow to qualify.)

 

- Razor Ramon pinned Tatanka (5:25) after the “Razor’s Edge” in a KOTR Quarter Finals match. * ¾

(Razor Ramon defeated Hakushi to qualify. Tatanka defeated The 1-2-3 Kid to qualify)

(Man Mountain Rock defeated The Roadie to qualify. Jeff Jarrett defeated Aldo Montoya to qualify.)

 

- Bret Hart defeated Bob Backlund (16:29) in an “I Quit” match. *** ¾

(It was Bob Backlund who took the WWF Championship away from Bret Hart at the Royal Rumble. Since then, the two have been feuding on and off. Backlund considers people like Hart to be "dangerous" for the youth of America, while Hart views Backlund as a hypocrite and elitist. This is the second "I Quit" match involving Hart and Backlund.)

 

- Shawn Michaels pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley (10:09) after a superkick in a KOTR Semi-Final round match. ** ¾

 

- WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett defeated Razor Ramon (9:16) after Razor passed out while in the figure four leglock in a KOTR Semi-Final round match. ** Before the match started, Jarrett and The Roadie attacked Ramon and injured his knee in the process.

 

- Owen Hart & mystery partner Yokozuna defeated WWF tag team Champions The Smoking Gunns (6:12) when Owen pinned Bart Gunn to win the titles. * ½

(Owen Hart has recently been feuding with The Smoking Gunns. He was defeated in an upset by Bart Gunn, which enraged Owen. He later took his frustration out on Bart's brother, Billy, by beating him and not releasing the Sharpshooter until Bart came in to make the save. Owen has promised to bring in a mystery partner to help him defeat the Gunns and take their titles.)

 

- Shawn Michaels pinned WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett (12:02) after a superkick to win the 1995 KOTR tournament. *** ¼

 

- WWF Champion Diesel pinned Psycho Sid (11:52) after a “Jackknife” powerbomb. ** After the match, Lex Luger & Davey Boy Smith attacked Diesel. Shawn Michaels & Bam Bam Bigelow came out to make the save.

(Sid, Luger, Davey Boy, and manager Jim Cornette have been allies for a while as the stable "Camp Cornette." Two of their main targets have been Diesel and Shawn Michaels. Diesel recently saved Bam Bam from a beating, so Bam Bam is repaying the favor here.)

Nashville, Tennessee - July 22, 1995

 

- WWF tag team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna defeated The Headshrinkers (7:10) when Yokozuna pinned Samu. ¾ * (The Headshrinkers defeated Men on a Mission in a #1 Contenders match on Monday Night Raw several weeks prior to this PPV.)

 

- Barry Horowitz pinned Skip (8:45) when Skip became distracted and walked into a small package. ** (Barry Horowitz scored and upset victory over Skip on WWF Superstars in early-June. Several weeks later, Skip challenged Horowitz to a rematch. This time, Horowitz won the match by count out.)

 

- WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett defeated "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig (15:42) by submission to the figure four leglock. *** ¾ (They had a match at the first In Your House PPV that Hennig won by disqualification. At the King of the Ring last month, Jarrett interfered in Hennig’s match and caused him to lose in the opening round.)

 

- Shawn Michaels & Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Psycho Sid & Davey Boy Smith (10:33) after Michaels superkicked Smith and pinned him. *** (Psycho Sid was brought back in the WWF by Shawn Michaels in early-1995 as his new bodyguard. The week after WrestleMania XI, during a tag team match against Lex Luger and Davey Boy Smith, Sid turned on Michaels and revealed his alliance with Luger and Smith.)

 

- Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Bret Hart (12:57) by count out when Bob Backlund interfered. ** ½ (At last months King of the Ring PPV, Bret Hart defeated Bob Backlund in an "I Quit" match. Two weeks after that event, Backlund said that he had some who would take care of the Hart. He challenged the Hitman to a match at In Your House 2 against his new protege. Bret accepted the challenge and stated that he would defeat whoever it was he was facing.)

 

- WWF Champion Diesel defeated Lex Luger (12:21) by disqualification when Psycho Sid & Davey Boy Smith interfered in the match. ** (After Diesel defeated Psycho Sid at the King of the Ring PPV, Lex Luger came out and attacked the champion. The following week Luger, and manager Jim Cornette issued a challenge to the WWF Champion for a title match at the next PPV. Diesel responded the following week by attacking Luger and agreeing to match.)

And you seem to be pushing HHH pretty hard for a guy who sucked pretty badly in the ring until late 99.

SummerSlam

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

August 27, 1995

 

- The Roadie pinned The 1-2-3 Kid (10:25) after a piledriver from the top rope. ***

(Roadie injured The 1-2-3 Kid's neck back in late-May and was out for over a month.)

 

- "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig pinned Davey Boy Smith (9:02) with a "Perfect-Plex." ** ½

(They had a match on Monday Night Raw that went to double disqualification. This is the rematch.)

 

- WWF tag team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna defeated Razor Ramon & Savio Vega (8:31) when Owen pinned Ramon. ** ¾

(Razor & Savio scored a non-title victory over the tag champions the day after In Your House 2. Two weeks later, they scored a count out victory of them when Owen was counted out.)

 

- The Undertaker pinned Kama (9:58) after a "Tombstone" piledriver in a "Casket" match. **

(Kama attacked, and injured, The Undertaker during a match on WWF Superstars back in June. When the Undertaker returned just before the last PPV, he wanted revenge. Their match was announced just after IYH.)

 

- Shawn Michaels pinned WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett (19:07) after a superkick to win the title. *****

(The Heartbreak Kid beat Jeff Jarrett in the tournament finals to win the King of the Ring tournament back in June. Michaels then wanted a title shot against Jarrett, but was denied. Just before In Your House 2, Barry Horowitz nearly scored an upset victory over the champion. Just after IYH 2, Horowitz asked for a title shot at SummerSlam. Jarrett agreed. The following week, during the contract signing, Shawn Michaels came out just after Jarrett signed the contract. He delivered a superkick and then signed the contract instead of Horowitz.)

 

- Psycho Sid pinned Bam Bam Bigelow (7:23) after a powerbomb. * ½

 

- Bret Hart defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley (18:29) in a "Best 2 out of 3 Falls" match. *** ¾

(The previous month, Helmsley was able to get a victory over the Hitman when Bob Backlund interfered and caused him to be counted out. The following night on Monday Night Raw, Bret Hart came out and attacked Helmsley during a match. The following weekend it was announced that they would have a rematch at SummerSlam. Two weeks prior to the PPV, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announced that their match would be a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match.)

 

- WWF Champion Diesel pinned Lex Luger (14:39) after a "Jackknife" powerbomb in a "Loser Leaves the WWF" match. ** ¼

(Lex Luger turned heel just after WrestleMania XI by aligning himself with Psycho Sid. Luger then interfered in a Diesel/Sid match at the King of Ring in June. A match was then announced for In Your House 2 between Luger and Diesel. Diesel got a disqualification victory when Sid and Davey Boy Smith interfered. WWF President Gorilla Monsoon immediately announced a rematch between them for SummerSlam. Both men then agreed that the WWF wasn't big enough for the two of them. So it was decided that their match would be a Loser Leaves the WWF match.)

Saginaw, Michigan

September 24, 1995

 

Hakushi pinned Skip (7:22) after a moonsault from the top rope. ** ¾

(Hakushi was in the middle of a match against Barry Horowitz on WWF Superstars just after SummerSlam when Skip came out to ringside. Skip tried to interfere and cost Horowitz the match. However, it backfired and Hakushi was the one who got pinned.)

 

Dean Douglas pinned Razor Ramon (10:45) with a small package and a handful of tights after the 1-2-3 Kid accidentally hit Ramon with a spin kick. ** ¾

(Dean Douglas came into the WWF just before SummerSlam and immediately began badmouthing the "Bad Guy." At SummerSlam, after Razor lost his match, Douglas & Ramon became involved in a backstage altercation. Then, 2 weeks later on Monday Night Raw, Douglas caused Ramon to loss a match against Davey Boy Smith.)

 

Bret Hart & "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig defeated Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie (13:29) when Hennig pinned Jarrett with the "Perfect-Plex." ***

(Curt Hennig has been feuding with Jeff Jarrett off-and-on since just after WrestleMania XI. They battled twice on PPV, and Jarrett was able to get the win each time with some assistance from the Roadie. Just after SummerSlam, Perfect challenged Jarrett and the Roadie to a tag match at In Your House 3. It was then announced that Perfect would announce his partner at the PPV.)

 

Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Tatanka (7:32) after a diving headbutt from the top rope. * ¾

(Bigelow and Tatanka were apart of the Million Dollar Corporation until just after WrestleMania XI. Bam Bam Bigelow lost a match to Lawrence Taylor at the big show, and the rest of the Corporation took exception to the loss. Just after the loss, Bigelow challenged WWF Champion Diesel to a title match. Again, Bigelow was beaten. After the match, the entire Corporation turned on Bigelow.)

 

WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels pinned Psycho Sid (12:43) after a superkick. ***

(Sid was brought back to the WWF back in February as Shawn Michaels' new bodyguard. Just after WrestleMania, it was revealed that Sid was aligned with Davey Boy Smith & Lex Luger against Michaels. Sid attacked the Heartbreak Kid and injured him in the process. Michaels came back and won the King of the Ring tournament and then went on to recapture the WWF Intercontinental title at SummerSlam. The following weekend, Michaels challenged Sid to a match, and it was quickly accepted.)

 

Davey Boy Smith defeated WWF Champion Diesel (13:47) by disqualification when Bret Hart became involved in the match. * ¾

(Davey Boy Smith turned heel just after WrestleMania XI. Smith began interfering in several of Diesel's matches, and scored a pinfall victory over the champion during a tag team match the week after Summer Slam.)

I can't remember the details, but I had some really good ideas for Raven's WWF run in 2000. Based upon the rumors that he would show up at Unforgiven 2000 and join up with Kane, I envisioned a more compact and smarter-booked Flock with Kane as the main person that Raven would manipulate/manage. It would all culminate in a match between the two possibly as early as WM17, as late as SummerSlam '01.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

October 22, 1995

 

- Razor Ramon pinned The 1-2-3 Kid (10:53) after a “Razor’s Edge.” *** ¼ After the match, Ramon & the Kid shook hands.

(The Kid became involved in Ramon’s match against Dean Douglas at the last In Your House. They had a match the next night on Monday Night Raw in which Razor won. The following weekend, the Kid challenged the Bad Guy to a rematch.)

- The Smoking Gunns defeated Jacob & Eli Blu (7:37) when Billy Gunn pinned Jacob. *

 

- Waylon Mercy pinned Savio Vega (8:45) after a DDT. * ¾

(This is Waylon Mercy's PPV debut match. Mercy was introduced to the WWF through a series of vignettes in which he went from calm to angry in several situations.)

 

- Bret Hart pinned Psycho Sid (10:49) with a roll up from behind to earn a WWF title match at the Survivor Series. ***

(This match will determine the number one contender to the WWF title.)

 

- Goldust pinned Marty Jannetty (6:21) following a “Curtain Call.” ¾ *

(This is Goldust's PPV debut. Goldust appeared in the WWF after a series of bizarre vignettes.)

 

- WWF Champion Diesel & WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated WWF tag team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna (17:23) to win the titles. Diesel‘s WWF title and Shawn Michaels WWF Intercontinental title were also on the line in the match. ** ¾

9th Annual Survivor Series

Landover, Maryland

November 19, 1995

 

- The Million Dollar Kid, The Roadie, Skip & Rad Radford defeated Marty Jannetty, Bob Holly, Hakushi & Barry Horowitz (15:58) in an Elimination match. *** The Million-Dollar Kid was the sole survivor.

(The 1-2-3 Kid turned on Razor Ramon shortly after their match at "In Your House," joining the Million Dollar Corporation.)

 

- The Undertaker pinned Waylon Mercy (8:29) after a “Tombstone” piledriver. * ¾

(After his debut, Waylon Mercy began targeting the Undertaker. Mercy's attacks were hit and run, at one time he even attacked the Undertaker with his own urn. But the most heinous act came when Mercy choked Paul Bearer with television cables until the man turned blue. The Undertaker is out for revenge here.)

 

- WWF tag team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna defeated The Smoking Gunns (10:39) when Yokozuna pinned Bart Gunn. **

(Owen & Yokozuna regained the titles from Diesel & Shawn Michaels two weeks prior to this event. The Smoking Gunns defeated Men on a Mission on an episode of WWF Superstars to become the #1 contenders.)

 

- WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Razor Ramon (21:39) in a “Ladder” match. **** ¾

(This is a rematch of Michaels’ & Ramon’s “classic” ladder match from WrestleMania X.)

- The Smoking Gunns defeated WWF tag team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna (8:28) to regain the titles when Bart Gunn pinned Owen. ** ¼

(Owen & Yokozuna won the WWF tag team titles from The Smoking Gunns several months back. One after the Survivor Series, the Gunns scored a non-title victory over the champions to earn another title shot.)

 

- The Million-Dollar Kid pinned Marty Jannetty (10:44) after a spin kick. ***

(The Million-Dollar Kid turned heel prior to Survivor Series by turning on long time friend Razor Ramon. At the Survivor Series, the Kid was able to get a victory over Marty Jannetty in an Elimination match with the help of Psycho Sid.)

 

- Jeff Jarrett defeated Diesel (5:28) when the referee disqualified Diesel for continuously powerbombing Jarrett. ¾ *

 

- Shawn Michaels defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Dean Douglas (12:20) by disqualification when Douglas used the title belt as a weapon. ***

(Dean Douglas pinned Shawn Michaels in a 6-man tag match one week before In Your House 4. Then, just moments after the Heartbreak Kid defeated Razor Ramon at the Survivor Series Douglas attacked Michaels. The next night on Monday Night Raw, Douglas and Michaels were again involved in an altercation during a match between Douglas and Ahmed Johnson. A match was then made for the following week between the HBK & Douglas for the WWF Intercontinental title. Michaels appeared the have the match won when the referee was knocked unconscious. The challenger then use the title belt as a weapon and was able to get score the victory and win the Intercontinental championship.)

 

- Ahmed Johnson pinned Kama (4:06) with the “Pearl River Plunge.” ½*

 

- WWF Champion Bret Hart pinned Davey Boy Smith (28:08) with a crucifix. **** ½

(Davey Boy Smith turned heel just after WrestleMania XI by attacking Diesel. The two finally squared off in a match for the WWF title back in September, at In Your House 3. During the course of that match, Smith attacked Bret Hart, who was at ringside doing commentary for the match. The Hitman later retaliated and attacked Davey Boy, thus causing Diesel to get disqualified. Smith demanded a rematch shortly afterwards. It was then announced that he would face the winner of the Bret Hart-Diesel WWF title match from Survivor Series.)

(Ahmed battled Yokozuna to a double count-out during a match on Monday Night Raw. This is the rematch.)

 

- WWF tag team Champions The Smoking Gunns defeated The Million Dollar Kid & Psycho Sid (11:50) when Bart Gunn pinned the Kid. **

(The Kid & Psycho Sid scored a victory over Razor Ramon & Savio Vega, The Body Donnas and Hakushi & Barry Horowitz in a 4-way Elimination match to become the #1 Contenders to WWF tag team titles.)

 

- WWF Intercontinental Champion Dean Douglas pinned Razor Ramon (12:46) after the Million-Dollar Kid interfered. ** ¾

 

- Shawn Michaels on a 30-man Royal Rumble (63:46) by last eliminating Davey Boy Smith. Other participants included “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, Owen Hart, Big Van Vader, Yokozuna, Ahmed Johnson, Jake Roberts, Goldust, Bob Holly, Marty Jannetty, Bam Bam Bigelow, Tatanka, Steve Austin, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Jacob Blu, Savio Vega, Henry Godwinn, Eli Blu, Skip, Waylon Mercy, Phinneas Godwinn, Jeff Jarrett, Fatu, Hakushi, Barry Horowitz, Justin Bradshaw, The Roadie, Kama & Duke Drose.

 

- WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated Diesel and The Undertaker (29:22) in a “Triple Threat Elimination” match. ***

(The Hitman scored a victory over Diesel to win the WWF championship back at the Survivor Series. Just after Bret Hart defeated Davey Boy Smith at In Your House 5, The Undertaker was immediately named the #1 contender to the WWF title. Diesel was furious with the decision and felt that he should have been given the title shot. The next night on Raw, Diesel attacked Bret Hart and executed a powerbomb on the champion through the announce table at ringside. It was announced the following weekend that Bret Hart was injured and would be out of action until the Royal Rumble. Two weeks later, Bret returned to Raw for an interview with Vince McMahon. During the course of the interview, Diesel came to ringside to confront the champion. Just as Big Daddy Cool was about to attack the WWF Champion, the Undertaker came out to get involved. WWF President Gorilla Monsoon then made his way to ringside. He then announced that he was changing the Royal Rumble main event to Bret Hart defending against The Undertaker and Diesel in a Triple Threat match.)

- Free-For-All match: The Godwinns defeated Jacob & Eli Blu (5:28) when Henry pinned Jacob. ½ *

 

- Razor Ramon pinned The Million Dollar Kid (10:57) after a “Razor’s Edge.” **¾

(The Kid scored an upset victory over the Bad Guy on Raw back in May 1993. The Kid was able to get an victory over Ramon via count out several weeks later. Shortly after that, Ramon turn babyface and then acknowledged his respect for the Kid. They became the best of friends after that. They teamed up on numerous times and almost won the WWF tag team titles on several occasions. As the summer of 1995 came to an end, the Kid began showing his frustrations over his career not progressing the way he wanted it to. After a WWF tag team title loss to Owen Hart & Yokozuna in early-October, the Kid and Razor got into a shoving match. The two men made up the following week. Then, just before the Survivor Series, the Kid turned heel by attacking Ramon and cost him a match against Psycho Sid. The Kid went on to cost Razor the WWF Intercontinental title at the Royal Rumble by interfering and helping Dean Douglas get the victory.)

 

- Steve Austin defeated Jake Roberts (6:23) with the “Million-Dollar Dream” sleeperhold. * ½

 

- WWF tag team Champions The Smoking Gunns defeated The Body Donnas (14:28) when Billy Gunn pinned Skip. ***

 

- Big Van Vader pinned Savio Vega (2:09) after a “Vader Bomb.” ½

(The night after the Royal Rumble, Savio scored a disqualification victory over Vader. After Vega was announced the winner, Vader continued to assault the Caribbean star by executing a powerbomb and then delivering several “Vader Bombs.” This is the rematch.)

 

- Shawn Michaels defeated Davey Boy Smith (19:51) to keep his WWF title shot at WrestleMania. *** ½

(Shawn Michaels won the 1996 Royal Rumble by eliminating Davey Boy Smith from the match. During an interview the following week on Raw, Davey Boy Smith challenged the Heartbreak Kid to a match here. Michaels agreed. It was later announced that the winner of the match would receive the WWF title shot at WrestleMania XII.)

 

- WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart (24:18) by submission to the “Sharpshooter.” ****¼

(Owen Hart was named the #1 contender to the WWF title the weekend after the Royal Rumble. Leading up to this match, Owen interfered in several of the Hitman’s matches.)

- Free-For-All match: The Body Donnas defeated The Godwinns (5:12) when Skip pinned Phinneas. ¾*

 

- Razor Ramon pinned WWF Intercontinental Champion Dean Douglas (14:41) with the “Razor’s Edge” to win the title. ***

(Back at the Royal Rumble in January, Ramon appeared to have to have the WWF Intercontinental title won until the Million Dollar Kid interfered. The Bad Guy took care of the Kid in a match at In Your House 6. It was then that it was announced that Ramon would be challenging Dean Douglas for the title once again.)

 

- Ahmed Johnson pinned Jeff Jarrett (7:28) following a “Pearl River Plunge.” *¼

 

- Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith defeated WWF tag team Champions The Smoking Gunns (13:33) when Smith pinned Billy Gunn to win the titles. **¾

(Owen scored a victory over Billy Gunn on WWF Superstars several weeks before WrestleMania. The following week Owen & Smith challenged the Gunns for the titles. The challenge was quickly accepted.)

 

- Roddy Piper defeated Goldust (9:42) in a “Hollywood Backlot Brawl.” * ½

(The Rowdy Scot made his return to the WWF in early-February. He returned to take over the role as WWF President until Gorilla Monsoon returned from an injury he suffered at the hands of Big Van Vader. Just after Piper made his return, Goldust immediately began making “advances” towards the Rowdy One. At first, Piper refused to accept a match with Goldust. However, during an interview on Raw, Piper decided that he had enough of Goldust and made the match for WrestleMania.)

 

- Steve Austin pinned “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig (12:21) after a “Stone Cold Stunner.” *** ¼

(Mr. Perfect battled Steve Austin to a time limit draw on Raw in early-March. Two weeks later, Mr. Perfect challenged Austin to a rematch.)

 

- The Ultimate Warrior pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley (1:04) after a running body splash. ¼ *

(This is the Ultimate Warrior’s return to the WWF.)

 

- Big Van Vader pinned Yokozuna (7:04) following a “Vader Bomb.” ½*

(At the Royal Rumble, Vader was able to eliminate Yokozuna from the match. The two then got into a brawl at ringside and had to be separated by several WWF officials. The week before In Your House 6, Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith turned against Yokozuna after Yokozuna was pinned in a tag match. Just as Yokozuna began getting the upper hand in the fight, Vader came to the ring and attacked Yokozuna as well. He delivered three “Vader Bombs” onto the leg of Yokozuna, breaking his leg in the process. This is Yokozuna’s return match.)

 

- The Undertaker pinned Diesel (15:28) with a “Tombstone” piledriver. ***

(This feud began back in December after the Undertaker was named the #1 contender to the WWF title. Taker was supposed to receive a title shot at the Royal Rumble against Bret Hart. However, the match was later changed to a Triple Threat Elimination match. Diesel was eliminated first. Undertaker appeared to have the match won shortly afterwards, however, Diesel came back to the ring and delivered a powerbomb to Taker and Bret was able to score the victory. Diesel then started interfering and attacking Undertaker every chance he got.)

 

- Shawn Michaels defeated WWF Champion Bret Hart (60:00) in a 60-minute Iron match, 3 falls to 2, to win the title. ****¾

(The Heartbreak Kid earned a WWF title match by winning the Royal Rumble match back in January. Just after In Your House in February, acting WWF President Roddy Piper announced that this match would be a 60-minute Iron-man match.)

- Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon (12:47) with the "Pedigree" to win the title. **½

(Helmsley was the number one contender to the IC title.)

 

- Big Van Vader fought The Ultimate Warrior (9:33) to a no contest at 9:33. *

(Vader had challenged warrior to a match at the next PPV, Warrior accepted.)

 

- WWF tag team Champions Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith defeated Ahmed Johnson & Jake Roberts (10:36) when Owen pinned Roberts. *

(Ahmed Johnson had Davey Boy Smith beat during a match on Monday Night Raw when Owen Hart interfered and caused a disqualification. The following week, Ahmed challenged Owen & Smith to a tag match at the next PPV, against himself and a partner of his choosing. The champions agreed. The following week, it was revealed that Jake Roberts would be Johnson’s partner.)

 

- Goldust pinned The Undertaker (7:29) after Mankind interfered. * ½

(Both Goldust and Mankind have targeted the Undertaker for weeks.)

Then, during a tag team match together against Bret Hart & The Undertaker just before WrestleMania, Diesel turned on his partner. Diesel beat Michaels with a steel chair until Bret & Taker could make the save. The week after WrestleMania, Diesel attacked Michaels during his first match since winning the WWF title. The following weekend, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announced the title match between Diesel & Michaels for In Your House.)

- Savio Vega defeated Steve Austin (13:48) in a “ Strap” match. ***

(Savio and Austin battled to a time-limit draw on an episode of Monday Night Raw in early-April. Two weeks later, Austin was able to score a victory over Vega after using a steel chair. On WWF Superstars the weekend after the last PPV, Savio was able to get a victory over Austin in an impromptu match. On the next episode of Monday Night Raw, Stone Cold came out during Vega’s match and attacked him with a leather strap. The match was announced the following weekend on WWF Superstars.)

 

- Big Van Vader defeated Ahmed Johnson (12:52) with the “Vader Bomb.” ***

(This match was made to determine the #1 contender to the WWF title and will receive a title shot at King of the Ring.)
