Vanhalen Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 In honour of Bush's latest blooper yesterday in which he said that terroists and rogue states were looking for anyway to harm America "and so are we", heres some more Bushisms, remember, hes allegedly the most powerful man in the world people! 'I know the human being and fish can co-exist peacefully. 'I think war is a dangerous place.' 'The most important job is not to be governor, or first lady in my case.' 'Will the highways on the Internet become more few?' 'Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.' 'It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it.' 'I've been to war. I've raised twins. If I had a choice, I'd rather go to war.' 'You're working hard to put food on your family.' (my personal favourite, I mean, WTF was the thought process behind that!) 'He married a Texas girl, I want you to know... A West Texas girl, just like me.' 'I'm the master of low expectations.' 'There are a couple of cows waiting for me. You know, when I first got back from Washington, it seemed like the cows were talking back. But now that I've spent some time in Crawford, they're just cows.' 'It's amazing with the software that has been developed these days that enable a camera to distinguish the difference between a squirrel and a bomb.' 'You teach a child to read and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.' 'The benefits of helping somebody is beneficial.' '[We will] use our technology to enhance uncertainty abroad.' '...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas.' Ah, God Bless America

Hogan Made Wrestling Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Where do people find all of the good "fluff" pics? -=Mike All of my favorite sites with "forum pics" have disappeared. I'd love to get links to some new ones.
Spicy McHaggis Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 I'm so glad the speech mistakes made by Bush are just surface mistakes, rather than, you know, faulty POLICY or EVASIVENESS.
cbacon Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Absurdly funny, yet downright scary. Anyone remember the quote at the end of F9/11?
Spaceman Spiff Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 I'm still getting mileage out of "exemplarary", and "nucular" always draws a chuckle.
Guest thebigjig Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Absurdly funny, yet downright scary. Anyone remember the quote at the end of F9/11? "There's an old...saying in Tennessee...I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says Fool me once...(3 second pause)... Shame on...(4 second pause)...Shame on you....(6 second pause)...foolmecantgetfooledagain (all said at once)"
Guest SP-1 Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Everyone else in the world speaks fluently and perfectly all the time. That this man doesn't is a crime and OBVIOUSLY exposes him to be a terrible leader. Charisma, people. THAT's what makes an American President.

That this man doesn't is a crime and OBVIOUSLY exposes him to be a terrible leader. Charisma, people. THAT's what makes an American President. While I'm not criticizing you, SP, I do find it odd that a lot of people who say this exact same thing are also constantly ragging on Gore and Kerry for having a lack of charisma.
Styles Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 This post brought to you by: You mean to tell me Bush has in the past been known to stumble on his words creating humorous results? GET OUT OF TOWN. Next thing you'll tell me John Kerry won 3 purple hearts.

I've recognized that as well. It's part of CE"s charm. Ignorance is bi-partisan.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Oh man, I'm typing this one with my nose because I'm too busy HOLDING MY SIDES from all this Bush speech hilarity. LOL 2000election!
Henry Spencer Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 I've recognized that as well. It's part of CE"s charm. Ignorance is bi-partisan. Bush's lack of public speaking skills are not a viable reason to call him a bad president. That being said, I do find some of these Bushisms rather funny. 'There are a couple of cows waiting for me. You know, when I first got back from Washington, it seemed like the cows were talking back. But now that I've spent some time in Crawford, they're just cows.' This one is my favorite.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 There's a CD compilation of various Bushisms that I saw at the local record store a few weeks ago for $5 or so. I was thinking of getting it for my dad but decided not to. Personally, while I find some Bushisms to be funny, most really aren't. And, for the same reason I don't like Michael Moore fat jokes, such juvenile-level insults detract from legitimate criticism. But then, I don't get dead baby jokes either.
Ravenbomb Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 You mean to tell me Bush has in the past been known to stumble on his words creating humorous results? GET OUT OF TOWN. Next thing you'll tell me John Kerry won 3 purple hearts. Yes, it's true, he won it thrice
NYU Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 "Iraq has Weapons of Mass Destruction!" "Iraq definitely had something to do with 9/11!" "There is a direct link between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda!" I've always found these Bush bloopers to be pretty hilarious. Why has no one mentioned these yet?
KK Rage Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 "I don't really think about things before I do them." I swear to God, not making that one up.
