Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 11, 2004 Hm... It's too bad this game won't be released over here in NA. I definitely would pick it up for a game that has 140 characters, and about 1800 moves (or so Magic Box says). If it has CAW, all the better. To which I would definitely buy this game. El Psycho Diablo 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2004 The only problem with KOC's CAW, is that like Fire Pro..you can only choose heads. Still, I'll get it.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 11, 2004 The only problem with KOC's CAW, is that like Fire Pro..you can only choose heads. Still, I'll get it. As long as there's a Flair head it's all good. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2004 Isn't KoC just a re-done Firepro? Like, Firepro with actual liscences and such? I notice it's made by the same company.
Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 11, 2004 You know... didn't even realize this but Metal Maniac might actually have a point. This pretty well could BE a FirePro since it is made by the same company. Nice call.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 11, 2004 You know... didn't even realize this but Metal Maniac might actually have a point. This pretty well could BE a FirePro since it is made by the same company. Nice call. Except the gameplay is a bit different. It's a little like Fire Pro, but much more complex and exacting in terms of the timing it demands and the visual cues it offers to guide that timing. There are more steps to executing a move, and each step requires pretty exact timing for the button presses. - David Smith from DVDVR
Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 11, 2004 Ah... Well then, my mistake on agreeing it was a "clone" of FP. Still though, I wish this game would come out State side. Lord knows I need a good wrestling game to play.

Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 11, 2004 There are a LOT of good games that need to come Stateside, but none of them ever will. If only there was a publishing gaming company taht was willing to do so, we might actually see them Stateside. Sadly, until it shows up, we never will. You can get the first 2 editions of the game fairly cheap on eBay.

Spike has already published the two GBA Fire Pros here. Yeah, we didn't get KOC1, but it's still possible. Anyone who has played it, how does it stack up to VPW2/Revenge/etc? I'd import it, but the PS2 is such a royal pain to play imports on. It'd probably be cheaper and less frustrating to see if anyone sells a modded PS2. However, I think Ebay's been clamping down on those, so you'd probably have to brave a site like Lik-Sang or something.

Dude, where'd you get your flip top from? I'm looking to invest in one as well. BTW, www.therage.com says that KOCII will be available on August 26th. dubq 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2004 EDIT: they changed the url of the images I linked.. check out the site below for wrestler pics. This site - http://www.spike.co.jp/kc2/concept/index.html - has more pics, as well as movies of the game. The tag team entrances look sweet.
dubq 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2004 " The only problem with KOC's CAW, is that like Fire Pro..you can only choose heads. " Since when? Every Fire Pro I've owned has allowed me to edit more than the heads. Yeah, that's kinda wierd. Either they don't know the Firepro CAW very well, or they're going with the thinking that in Firepro - the only thing that's really different aside from the attires are the faces. The body parts are all essentially the same except different sizes. Meh whatever, as long as I get Tanahashi and Nakamura, I'm all over this game.
The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2004 Either that, or they were pointing out that you can't edit specific parts of the face like you can in other games - you can't pick your character's nose, eyes, mouth, etc. You just pick a head, and that's his head, period. This game does look interesting though.

Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2005 Nope; though I've put a ridiculous amount of time in playing this game over a friend's house. I'm really, really great with Tenryu.
SinToxic 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 I like playing with Tenryu as well but damn is it hard sometimes to hit his 53 years old finisher, especially on difficulty 7. Same problem with exploder suplexes, which were easier to execute in KOC red and green.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 For anyone who has it and is using the fliptop--what swap disc you using? My magic-swap DVD is version 2.0. Is this one picky about it?
