Do you ever get a wrestling vibe from other

Recommended Posts

What I mean is do you get a vibe from anything else in entertainment that reminds of you of someone or something in wrestling.

Example, and maybe not an obvious or perfect one, but I get a 'Jim Ross' vibe from Mike Sexton of World Poker Tour. Any minute when watching I wouldn't be suprised to hear him say "through helfire and brimstone, Phil Gordon has made a flush draw on the river, bah gawd!"

Anyone understand what I'm saying?

Freddy vs. Jason had me get a weird wrestling type vibe. The way they made Jason the sentimental favorite, the final showdown, and the horrible acting...

Also the Yankees/Red Sox feud SCREAMS wrestling.

I guess that makes the Yankees = HHH and the Red Sox = RVD/Booker T/Kane/Chris Jericho/etc

Star Trek rescently gives me a wrestling vibe because of all the wrestling movies in it.

I sometimes compare how a TV show works compared to a wrestling match so really lots of TV stuff can give me a wrestling vibe.

God I'd love it if they tried to do WWEPT- World Wrestling Entertainment Poker Tour.

Of course, everyone folds when HHH goes all in, that's just the way the game is played.

Same here. Everybody in the audience was marking out big time when the actual fight finally took place. :headbang:

Yeah me and my cousins are huge marks for Jason and we popped anytime he has a strong showing on screen. Especially the squash against the guy drinking Everclear.

Speaking of the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry, during the recent brawl, did you catch the awesome side headlock by A-Rod? Varitek tried to counter with a Ric Flair-esque shin buster, but A-Rod shifted his weight and the Falls Count Anywhere On the Field Match ended up near the dugout!

That was crazy...not as big as the Game 3 ALCS brawl last year, but definitely an exciting brawl. I don't think I've ever seen A-Rod get that upset (he spouted out about 4 or 5 F-bombs in a span of 3 seconds).

I don't know if this really counts but...

Whenever I watch old Muppets things, and Miss Piggy chops someone, I go "Whoo" now.

 that's great.

Boxing. The marketing of the fighters and the build up to fight-night.

Wrestling is like a gayer version of boxing...from a marketing standpoint of course.

Also,Buffy & Angel gave a wrestling vibe they way they built the entire season around the new villain and having the hero save the day and all that.
