Enigma Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 WWE has bought Scott Steiner out of his deal and he’s now completely gone from WWE. Also, the trademark for "Big Poppa Pump" is abandoned for obvious reasons. credit: PWInsider Steiner's last appearance in WWE was as a participant in the 2004 Royal Rumble. Afterwards, he was put on the injury list for a hip flexor. WWE decided to keep him off TV instead of bringing him back, despite suggestions that they should have used him on Smackdown to put over Eddie Guerrero.
Guest Ass Master Glenn Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 they really dropped the ball on Steiner... He should be used to put over Cena, Angle, Eddie & Orton So this news to me is & glad i got his 2 t shirts before he went away...
Youth N Asia Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I thought they got rid of him months ago
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 TNA must pick him up and let him cut bitter interviews every week for a year.
Enigma Posted August 16, 2004 Author Report Posted August 16, 2004 I thought they got rid of him months ago They made the decision a few months ago not to use him on TV anymore, but they've now officially cut him free.
Guest Ass Master Glenn Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I'd love to see the "wcw Scott Steiner" (towards the end of wcw) on nwa tna tv with a mic on allowed to speak his mind !!
iggymcfly Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 You know, they never really gave him a good heel run, which is what he does best. I'd take Scott Steiner, heel WWE champion over JBL heel WWE champion anyday.
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Just another WWE fire re to take a Guitar shot by Jarrett in TNA
iliketurtles Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 They should of gotten rid of him after Royal Rumble 2003. Oh well.
BHK Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Personally, I'm all for trimming the roster down and getting rid of guys that are jsut taking up space. Now, that just means they have to fire about a dozen more wrestlers

He should be used to put over Cena, Angle, Eddie & Orton So this news to me is & glad i got his 2 t shirts before he went away... It's not like Steiner has any rub left to give or anything. Two of the guys you mentioned, Angle and Guerrero, are way bigger stars than Steiner and beating him means no more than if they beat Test.
Guest JoeyStyles Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 ...and A-Train still has a job. He is a WWE homegrown star and they take care of their own, this is the same company that got rid of Jerry Lynn while he was injured but they don't want to fired Test because they all of a sudden don't get rid of injured wrestlers.
Epic Reine Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Jerry Lynn also had heat with Crash, Paul Heyman, and a couple of the WCW cruisers.

I agree that he doesn't have much rub left to give - he's remembered for his terrible matches with Triple H, rather than his previous accomplishments. However, they might as well use him for one match where Kurt can destroy him, it's a better option than just doing nothing with him.
Epic Reine Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Personally, I'd have had Orton RKO him and add him to his list of "legends" he's killed.

And he should have a job. Easily one of the more entertaining superstars in the WWE and he has still has potential to get better. We've gone through this before on this board. A-Train is both underrated and underappreciated. End of story.
Guest Ronnie755 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Jerry Lynn had heat with Crash and some of the WCW cruisers? What's the story on this? This is the first I've heard of this.
Dark Age Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Personally, I'd have had Orton RKO him and add him to his list of "legends" he's killed. Orton's already beat him.
LooseCannon25 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 They should have booked him as the loose cannon type of heel he was in WCW. You could even have him in a bodyguard type role instead of wrestling, and he could constantly wear the chain mail hat.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 They should have booked him as the loose cannon type of heel he was in WCW. You could even have him in a bodyguard type role instead of wrestling, and he could constantly wear the chain mail hat. What's the point? He can't wrestle a lick anymore. Cena is even better then him.

benoit4hor Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 They should have put him in a feud with Test where they fight over Stacy, then have him turn heel and they could "share" Stacy... oh wait...nevermind.
Guest The Hurra Duff Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Damn, they waited this long to fire his worthless, steroid stricken BUTT? I knew he was finished when his early 2003 feud with HHH was a total failure. Good riddance I say.
Krankor Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 This is sad news. I actually liked Steiner a lot even though he couldn't wrestle worth a damn anymore. It was always funny during his matches how he would just call everyone 'bitch' and yell 'hah!' after anything he said. My favorite moment in his latest run with the wwe was a tag match he had against Steven Richards and Victoria. Victoria entered the ring against him and he just said, "What are you going to suck my dick?" Classic I'm going to miss those stiff clotheslines...
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 well the roster needs trimming so there won't be any of those Pesky wrestlers who want to take up Important Diva Search time
Guest DeathBecomesYou Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Jerry Lynn had heat with Crash and some of the WCW cruisers? What's the story on this? This is the first I've heard of this. I haven't heard this one either, I always thought that with the exception of Heyman and Bischoof, everyone liked Jerry.
Guest Bitterness the Star Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Meh. Never been a fan of Steiner or thought that he could do anything relevent in WWE other than maybe boost a few ratings upon his debut anyway. Where's Choken One? He's the resident Steiner mark around here, isn't he?
