Guest Evolution Report post Posted August 19, 2004 His number is 69? Still trying to buck that whole gay thing.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 His number is 69? Still trying to buck that whole gay thing. Yes because gay people don't 69.....
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I'd buy it if it was any other number than 69. I've seen too many girls wearing faux-jerseys with that number on it. Skanks.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Wow, I guess the Vikings aren't cutting him now.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 19, 2004 If he was a Cincinnati Bengal I'd get one, and if it was any number but 69. Sounds too jokey for perverts. Plus I'm not a fan of the color purple...and I don't mean the movie obviously.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I'd buy one if it was $45 cheaper, available in sizes other than Medium and XXL, not number 69, and for a guy who was actually going to play.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted August 19, 2004 His number is 69? Still trying to buck that whole gay thing. Yes because gay people don't 69..... That's kind of my point. He can probably do a lot of other things to solidify his status as a homophobe than use the number 69 on his jersey.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Yeah... plus he's a DT (or DE -- I forget) and the usual numbers for them are 90s.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 Yeah... plus he's a DT (or DE -- I forget) and the usual numbers for them are 90s. The nineties were all taken: 90 - Steve Martin 91 - Grant Wiley 92 - Mewelde Moore 93 - Kevin Williams 94 - Chris Wiley 95 - Kenechi Udeze 96 - Billy Lyon 97 - Rod Davis 98 - Darrion Scott 99 - Chris Hovan The third-string defensive tackles are coincidentally Spencer Johnson (64) and Lesnar. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 You know what would be cutting-edge? To assign the number "9A." Yeah. That's right. Go hexadecimal on the NFL's asses.
Just John 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 If you're gonna start mixing numbers and letters, then Lesnar's jersey has to be F5.
yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I just MIGHT look at getting the away jersey (that's the one with predominant white, correct?). I'm not sure yet. I wouldn't wear it obviously, but would pick it up as a keepsake.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 His number is 69? Still trying to buck that whole gay thing. Yes because gay people don't 69..... This man would know I would consider getting it, just to add to my Vikings jersey collection
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted August 20, 2004 Hey correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Vince supposedly interested in buying the Vikings in '98? Anyway good to see the Vikings aren't interested in publicity stunts................
converge241 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I do recall something about Vince and the vikes around that time (i think a little before?) wish I had some more details but I dont think you are wrong

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Don't know if this is true as a friend just IMed me it. I'll post it here for now. Brock Lesnar, a 26-year-old pro wrestler who is trying to win a job at defensive tackle with the Vikings, should have known his teammates were playing for real when they approached him on the last day of camp. He was in for some rookie hazing. "When all the guys were hanging around, I kind of caught onto it" Lesnar said. Lesnar tried to run, but he was caught and tackled. His ankles were taped together. Randy Moss dumped water on him. Guard Chris Liwienski sat on his stomach. Kelly Campbell, a 170-pound receiver, jumped on Lesnar, who is 290 pounds, and counted to three as he pretended to pin him. Lesnar took it in good humor. "I knew it was coming one of these days," he said...

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Rookie hazing...wow how shocking...I never expected such foolishness from professionals. Which is why I didn't think it deserved it's own thread, but it is kinda funny.
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Guard Chris Liwienski sat on his stomach...............and counted to three as he pretended to pin him I'll bet Chris NOWINSKI wishes he could have gotten to do that. And yes I know it was Kelly Campbell who made the 'pin'.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 I'd buy it if it was any other number than 69. Pretty much what I was thinking, as well. Fitting, since that's pretty much what I've thought of just about every ShopZone shirt I've liked ("oh gee how nice, if only it didn't have sexual innuendo printed on it.")
