There is only one conclusion: they're fucking with us. It seems to me that the fans are fucking with themselves. It's not like the writers went out there and said that Gale was that doctor. It's just fan speculation. The huge prop hot-air balloon, however. I really doubt they'd set all that up and take a picture of it just to mess with people. Someone mentioned it earlier in this thread that just because there would be a hot air balloon on the island, doesn't make it his necessarily. It seems like most characters progressed during season one, I'm not sure who is progressing this season... perhaps Jin, maybe Michael, maybe Claire. This season, I see most characters regressing... Hurley in the mental ward with 3 people at a table in one picture and with only two people in the next picture, but he has his arm around an empty space. Imaginary person? And... Unless it's somehow revealed that A) Jin is impotent (NOT POSSIBLE) B) She became preggers when Jin was out rafting.
