LOST

Recommended Posts

Quick question:

For a lot of shows, a DVD release was hard to do because of liscensing for songs that was on it or something. Since the Lost DVD was announced pretty quick, I was wondering, are the songs that were at the end of a lot of episodes gonna be there still, or will they be replaced with generic type music (like they did, IIRC, with a few episodes of Buffy)? Or hasn't there been any word about that?

I don't know about Lost. But, I figure that most TV shows nowadays would have DVD rights in the deal to use the song in the first place so they can avoid any problems. Even a year ago everyone knew about the problems with TV Show DVD music clearences, so I would be shocked if Lost didn't think about it.

Season 2 semi-spoilers regarding the death

Me and Rudo the other night were discussing who's dying. JJ Abrams has said that somebody is dying off in the first or second episode and isn't coming back in flashbacks or anything. Early rumours were pointing to Maggie Grace as it was apparently it was over money and she just got cast in X3 which fuled the rumour that her head had swelled. Over at Aint it Cool News there's a piece regarding Season 2 with confirmation from Damon Lindelof that Sayid and Shannon are still a couple past episode 2 so it's not her. I'm going with Sawyer.

More proof that the numbers mean nothing but bad news...

Did you know that the numbers that are the center of a mystery on Lost (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) are all numbers that have been retired by the New York Yankees? In order, Gehrig, Berra/Dickey, Munson, Whitey Ford, Mattingly and Jackie Robinson.

I just watched the Mapinguari preview video on Lost Links. Wish I hadn't. It had some spoilers.

Boon confronting Jack, telling him he could have saved him, but he didn't.

Jack seeing Ethan, either the same way he is seeing Boon or actually seeing him.

Sawyer going after someone with a gun, for revenge.

And the biggest of all, I think, Jin telling someone that Rose went mapinguari on Bernard. I don't know who Bernard is, but I think Rose goes nuts on him.

I wish I didn't watch it the first time, but after the damage was already done, I watched it three more times. It certainly has me ready.

25 days and counting.

Some of the clips were from season one. Sawyer going after someone with the gun was from Confidence Man, Rose saying her husband (Bernard) isn't dead, Jack saying he thinks he's going crazy (White Rabbit), Charlie saying someone is "highly disturbed" (talking about Locke, from the Boone/Shannon episode), and there was a clip from Pulp Fiction for some reason

Man I'm such a late commer. I borrowed burned DVDs of this show from a friend and I watched the whole damn thing in 2 days. This is some amazing stuff, but the ending raised so many more questions and answered almost none.

You people deserve big props for waiting a week (if not more) for each ep.

I started after about 6 episodes after word of mouth from co-workers. I don't know if I can wait after seeing the previews on LostLinks.

Based on episode titles I even wonder if we will see anything of Michael, Jin or Sawyer during the first episode. (BTW, that is one thing I love about the show, with such an ensemble cast you literally may not see a character for a week and still not lose anything.)

Spoilers seem to indicate that Saywer is not dead.

Youll find out about the fate of the raftees before the end of episode 4

welcome to season 2: I cant wait for it to prove my crackpot theories right

For any Curb Your Enthusiasm fans..

I was going through the new DVD yesterday and in Episode 4.6 - The Car Pool Lane, Jorge Garcia plays the drug dealer who sells Larry medicial marijuana for his father's glaucoma. It's a funny scene and maybe worth tracking down if you can get a fast download on a Torrent or such.

I remembered the scene, but I guess at the time I didn't know who he was.

Sorta like watching "Dude, Where's My Car?" now and recognizing Zoltan's girlfriend as Chloe from 24.

Anyone else seen the new promos featuring Locke, Charlie, Hurley, Jack and Kate giving retrospective on the island. A couple of them, Locke and Hurley IIRC, refer to the castaways as 'the others' could be a little foreshadowing of how this season splits into Science vs Fate.

Am I just crazy or drunk (or both), but wasn't there a promo like those mentioned with Sawyer that aired during the last MNF game? It isn't on LostLinks.

Nevermind, it is on there now.
