1.) What is the name of this move? It looks absolutely sick

2.) Who are the two men in this match, if anyone knows

It's a Sunset Flip Piledriver, done in the vein of Red's "Code Red" sunset powerbomb thing.

Petey Williams sets his opponent up for a powerbomb then flips forward and delivers a piledriver. Nasty as fuck.

So if any move looks horrible, but is "boss", its ok?

How does the move look horrible? He hit's it perfectly just about everytime.

That's Redd taking it, thus the reason why it looks so sick.

I mean he tucked his head on his own, I guess he was goin for pin attempt and was beatin tot he chase

The move itself Dynamite doesn't look neccessarily horrible. It just looks insanely fake, and contrived, like 80% of the "high impact" or "spotty" indy moves do.

BAH!!!!

Wrestling is fake and everybody knows it. Fuck if a move looks credible or not, I just want it to look cool.

I thought the SCD started from an electric chair position, with the guy folded over the shoulder?

That line of thinking makes me want to cry.

I'd rather have realisim over super cool flippity fake doo-dahs.

I'll take my Chris Benoit and my Koji Kanemoto over your Petey Williams, thank you. [And this is in no way any offense to Petey.]

Indeed. Flashy stuff is all fine and well, but you dont need to be that massively flashy.

I'll take a good old plain and simple but soild Powerbomb anyway over a Sunset Flip Piledriver.

I always thought the flipping piledriver had elements of realism behind it. A piledriver is an obvious move and is easily reveresed - most wrestlers would be able to counter it and guess it's coming.

However, the flipping one is setup like a powerbomb and is hard to reverse once the momentum is carrying the opponent - thus the only conclusion is for them to land on their head. Especially when Petey was less known this made even more sense because the opponent wouldn't be expecting it.

And surely it makes about as much sense as a Code Red (then again - I guess no-one is defending that), being that if your gonna do some flippy back move thing then it might as well land your opponent on their head than back - more dangerous and more likely to win the match.

Ummm......so would I. That's a horrible comparision in the first place, plus I personally think the Canadian Destroyer is cool, and if you don't fine. But if you are watching TNA, then realism isn't exactly what you are looking for then huh? Hell, I just said the move was cool, I didn't say that because he does it all his matches are five stars.

To be clear, this would be my preference as well. However, I don't mind Williams finisher. I don't think it's a negative, it's just not what I'd prefer.

Isn't that Quiet Storm's move, the Storm Cradle Piledriver? I think the guy doing the move, though, is one of the Maximos, aka the SAT.

Actually the guy doing the move is Quiet Storm.

From marcnova21's LJ, and I fully agree:

New realization of the day: I hate Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer piledriver. Why? Cause it looks like some shit you'd see on Street Fighter or a finisher from Mortal Kombat. However, as long as motherfuckers wanna do backflips to get dropped on their heads to get that little Canadian sonofabitch over, then who am I to stop them? Hell...if Petey Williams can get rich in this world, then good for him. But even if I had the ability to take that move, there'd me NO WAY IN HELL I'd take it. It exposes the business and builds an ENTIRE match around a single move. And the sad shit is that NOBODY in TNA is going to let that move get over to the point where he's main eventing with Jarrett or Monty or Hardy or AJ, so hell, it's really a fruitless venture, now isn't it. However, if I had a wrestling video game, I'd slap that sonofabitch on there in a second. See, people don't ACTUALLY get hurt there, so it's okay. Giving a guy like that TV airtime SUCKS ASS, because in two years when people tire of the move, if TNA is still around, they're gonna call his mat stuff boring, and hell, if he comes up with a new finish, how in the hell can he come up with one more vicious than the Destroyer, cause that move is absolutely insane. TNA WILL fail because they absolutely refuse to see the larger picture. If I'm there, I'm ALL for a Team Europe of Doug Williams, James Tighe, Paul Tyrell and Birchill, btw. Tough English babyfaces stretching Team Canada into submission. it would be BEAUTIFUL. Instead of wasting money on Johnny Fairplay, get those guys, and hire Dave Taylor as their manager. Give them soccer style jerseys to wear, and it'd be AWESOME. Tell me the person who wouldn't buy a Doug Williams soccer jersey. Exactly.

I don't mind the Canadian Destroyer. What should be done is that the move should rarely be used. The announcers should build it up like it's the Tiger Driver '91 or something, and when Williams hits it, the match is almost always over.

"It exposes the business".

That's a stupid fucking reason.

The business is already exposed. Maybe 20 years ago that's a reason. Argue it's bad psychology, argue it's no credible, but bitching about "exposing the business" is just stupid in the current era.

It exposes the business worse than any "behind the scenes" special could ever. Why? Because those aren't done DURING the show.

The magician will never let the audience into the works of his act while he does it. Petey is doing just that.

I still think its a plausible reason to hate it.

So, since we all know wrestling is fake. Should HHH go out in front of the camera and say: "Well, since I'm really Paul Levesque, and I'm married to Stephanie. I'm taking the title back." Takes title back.

And then Chris Benoit comes out. "Well, Vince said you're supposed to beat me now. So let's wrestle. And since this is pre-determined, why don't you go ahead and beat me, and I can job, and get home in time to bang Woman."

Don't like the move at all. Too dangerous and looks too fake. Stuff like that ruins wrestling.
