Well, seeing as Bernie Mac isn't using that doggone word anymore, someone has to carry the goddamn torch... Decient set for Dat, the girl under the arm at the mall bit was pretty funny. Although every single joke he has doesn't have to be about Asians and white people Actually, yes it does. Otherwise we might forget that he's Asian. I'm shocked that he doesn't just come out dressed in Yellow Fellow gear... Glass has a so-so set for him...but his average sets still make me laugh more then anyone else usually. I enjoyed the grovelling actually, and what basically seemed like a rib on Ralphie May (whose father died, you know. Not that he would ever play that card to gain sympathy votes). Ant was bad, Kathleen was good. Mordal was pretty good but flubbed near the end. Like I said, Mordal is the best of Season 1. Vos can be brilliant, but not always. And no suprise again with the cuts...but I give Tammy's clevage 9/10 And like I said, she didn't use it last week... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WIT YOU? Sorry, couldn't resist... Some decent material, entirely wrong audience for him, and that may have been one of the longer 2.5 minutes ever... Carrot Top 5/10. Still don't like the prop stuff, but I admit it, I laughed at a couple of them... Mordel and Kathleen will be cut. Only one from each season goes on... Mordal was great, and yes rape jokes can be funny in the right situation(see: Jim Norton). John Heffron is Howie Mandel lite. Blecch. Glass would be funnier if he was allowed to do his real act without having to soften it considerablly for television. I saw him last year and believe me, it's much funnier. I predict Vos and Alonzo will own the roast next week, and Mordal will do well too. Vos is a master at verbally abusing hacks, and Mohr is one of the biggest ever. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 Season 2 continues to kill season 1. John and Kathleen will be enough to win the money next week. And it's easy to see why, not only are their stand ups better, but the war room stuff is way better. Kathleen doing the Ralphie voice and talking about eating Dat was great, and then John comes back with "if you eat Dat Phan you'll just be hunrgy 30 minutes later." Heff and Dave must move on next week. Both had great sets, and guy on guy rape humor is always funny. While I'm all for getting Dat and Ralphie in one fell swoop...I hate the idea of losing Madigan. Kathleen wasn't great, but she's the only one with material on things happening right now. Ralphie hyping up his "controversial" act was great considering there wasn't one laugh in the entire set. I don't mind racial humor...but if it's not funny then it's 10x worse. Jay just missed on everything. I like him, but I think I've heard everything he has to offer now. After a good week Dat went back to being very very bad. Every single joke is about being Vietnamese. Weak weak material he's done before. The skummy looking dude (london?) seemed off, because I normallylike his stuff. My faveorite has to be Heffron though. All in all, a pretty disapointing show. I really hope everyone on the dais gets their own mic since Vos is best when "firing back" and Alonzo strikes me as being the same way.
