BlackFlagg Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Don't forget, the season premier of crubs is tonight and starts 5 minutes early at 9:25 so don't miss it
Mole Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 And Father of the Pride is on tonight too.
starvenger Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I'd watch, but The Amazing Race is on. Damn NBC and CBS for messing up my Tuesdays...
Guest Joshua A. Norton Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Excellence, thy name is Scrubs.
razazteca Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 NBC Must See Tuesday line up was excellent. Last Comic Standing Father of the Pride Scrubs
Placebo Effect Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Father of the Pride was pretty meh. Not worth the $1.5 million an episode or whatever it costs them to produce. Scrubs, however, was fucking awesome. "So get your lazy white ass out of bed!"
Alro Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Father of the Pride was good. I like the old lion. Scrubs was awesome (as usual). I was skeptical about Heather Graham guest starring, but she worked pretty well. Plus Elliot needs someone to interact with until her and J.D. sleep together again.
Guest El Satanico Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 The old man lion should've been voiced by George Carlin. In fact I actually thought it was him until it said he was played by Carl Reiner, which was obvious then. Overall it was a decent show that I could see improving once it hits it's groove. It'll have time to try finding it's groove and an audience. NBC put their full support behing it and the show will likely keep decent ratings at least until Donkey shows up.
Downhome Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Let me tell you all a quick story. Ok, so I had no clue what perfection I've been mission for the past three years until today. After watching Garden State the other day, I wanted to see more that Zach Braff had done. I put it off in my mind for a few days, but I started thinking about it again this morning, so I downloaded the entire first season of Scrubs today, and I watched more than half of it today alone, and I now love, LOVE the show. I'm not talking "eh, it's an ok sitcom" type of thing, but a "holy shit this is perfect TV" kind a thing. I'm talking, I love this series almost as much as I loved Seinfeld. I just can't believe that I am just now discovering it. I'll finish watching all of the episodes and then start watching it weekly, I'm hooked on it now. I even downloaded the soundtrack earlier today and I've been listening to it all night when I've been able too, it's great also. I wrote off TV for some crazy reason years ago, just about everything but wrestling and the news. I've discovered Firefly, and now Scrubs, and I love it. I just have to wonder what all else I've missed over the past six or so years, or even more.
Downhome Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Ok guys, I have finished up watching all released episodes of Scrubs by downloading them and then watching them on my computer. Over the past two or three weeks I have watched 76 episodes, 1,596 minutes, and 26.6 HOURS of that TV show. I think it's safe to say that I just might have a new favorite TV show of all time now. I'm going to watch my Arrested Development DVD set to make sure it can't top it though, seeing how just from the first two shows I've watched of that show have really impressed me. Never before has a TV show impressed me in the way that Scrubs has done so.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 It doesn't seem like it's been on for 76 episodes. Hopefully, after NBC gives up on Joey being the new friends they give Scrubs the golden time slot. Send Joey to Tuesday at 930.
razazteca Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Have you seen the NBC series Ed? Its about a lawer who has his office in a bowling alley. Don't let the Michael Ian Black hatred blind you from this classic series. The star of the show made a few cameo appearences on Scrubs as JD's drunk brother.
Downhome Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 razazteca, I've heard of Ed but it's another show I never watched. I love Thomas Cavanagh on Scrubs, so I'd be willing to bet I'd enjoy him on Ed if I ever get down to it and watch that series.
