NoCalMike Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I don't have a source except for the AM news radio top of the hour news break reports. Supposedly Keyes called homosexuality "selfish hedonism" and then called Dick Cheney's daughter a sinner.......
Guest MikeSC Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Yes, he did. On a radio interview, if memory serves. And people wonder why the GOP is not really embracing that whackjob. -=Mike
therealworldschampion Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Good lord will Keyes even get 15% of the vote in that race?
Rob E Dangerously Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 You know your chances are bad when you can't find anybody in the state to run for office. Keyes was beaten easily twice in his own state.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I think Alan is running because he needs a hobby...
The Czech Republic Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Alan Keyes needs to smell what Barack is cookin'. Seriously this is the most lopsided race I've seen in the state in a LONG time. Not even Illinoisovich had it this easy. I don't understand the weakness of the Republican Party in Illinois. It's not like Keyes is running for mayor, he's trying to get a seat in the U.S. Senate, representing the whole state. Take away Chicago and everything around the Quad Cities and St. Louis, and it's really a very conservative state. When even the Republican strongholds like Lake and DuPage County are arife with Obama signage, something is way way wrong.
RepoMan Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 The Chicago metro area drawfs the rest of the state so much that a arch Conservative like Keyes has no chance even if he wins all of downstate. If the GOP wants to compete they need a moderate to appeal to Chicagoland suburbanites. I doubt their would a backlash downstate if they found someone like that who had a chance to defeat a Dem.
The Czech Republic Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 A guy who favors handing out free money to blacks is an arch-conservative? On what planet? Yeah like I said, while the geography favors the GOP, the population, which matters, is Democratic. We really should've had Ditka run.
Guest T®ITEC Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Does "interesting" actually mean "asinine"?
Guest MikeSC Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Does "interesting" actually mean "asinine"? Nah, Keyes isn't asinine. He's, clearly, a very bright man. He's just fuckin' insane. -=Mike
Guest SP-1 Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Does "interesting" actually mean "asinine"? Interesting as in, "Interesting". Calling homosexuality "Selfish hedonism" is an interesting approach. Not one I agree with. Considering I operate out of a base of it being a psychological matter, I don't believe homosexuals are choosing their lifestyle out of selfishness.
Styles Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Oh God, not 2 threads on this...please just contain it to here: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=60141
Guest MikeSC Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 This deserves a mention --- simply because I've never seen a race as thoroughly uncompetitive as Keyes v Obama. Keyes, according to the Trib, is polling --- 17%. 17%? DAMN! That's ugly. Have there been actual races that have been this uncompetitive historically? -=Mike
GreatWhiteNope Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I'm shocked nobody's posted this here: Maya, daughter of Alan Keyes, is a lesbian
Ted the Poster Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Ha, she's wearing an anti-Bush button too! I was skeptical that it was his daughter until I saw this image: Yecch! She look exactly like him! Her girlfriend is apparently going bald on the side of her head. That's just weird.
2GOLD Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Oh Alan, what won't you say. Someone give him a juice box and tell him to go play in the pool till sandwiches are ready.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Wonder if she and Cheney's kid should hook up. And which chick in those photos is Alan's kid?...
therealworldschampion Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 This deserves a mention --- simply because I've never seen a race as thoroughly uncompetitive as Keyes v Obama. Keyes, according to the Trib, is polling --- 17%. 17%? DAMN! That's ugly. Have there been actual races that have been this uncompetitive historically? Tom Osborne won 92% of the vote in the Nebraska 3rd Congressional District race 2 years ago and may win by even more this year, but then again that's Tom Osborne.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 There are bunches of races that are uncompetitive -- many times the GOP won't even bother with a candidate that's district makes up an urban area...
Rob E Dangerously Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 there wasn't a Democrat running against that minion of lucifier (Osbourne) [bitter KSU fan/Osbourne-basher] {but John Elway is lower on the list of people I like}
Guest Sylvan Grenier Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Wonder if she and Cheney's kid should hook up. And which chick in those photos is Alan's kid?... Probably the black one
Styles Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Wha-? Alan's BLACK?... Not really, he's obviously an Uncle Tom white sellout like Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, and any other black man or woman who isn't a Democrat....
