Orton is a ratings DRAW~!

Recommended Posts

RVD can't act, and his in-ring work isn't good enough to make up for it.

In WWE you have to be exceptional in one of the two areas or be good in both to be a successful champ. Neither scenario applies to RVD.

Kane is a terrible wrestler too, probably worse than RVD, but he could make a good champ just because the audience always seems captivated by his character. Hulk Hogan is the ultimate example of this type of champion.

Chris Benoit has a limited character, but people love him because he is so damn great to watch in the ring. Bret Hart is an example of this type of champion.

HHH isn't stellar in either category, but he's good enough in both that he is also a successful champion.

Bradshaw is a failure and he is much better than RVD character-wise. I could see taking a shot a couple of years ago, but even then I did not think RVD would have a successful run at the top. He just isn't talented or motivated enough. He reminds me of DDP in WCW. Someone that everybody likes, but not somebody good enough to build the promotion around.

This is the funniest shit I've ever seen  , for a guy that's not a RVD fan you seem to be very obsessed by him. We all know that you don't like Rob, we all got the point, there's no need to go through all these lenghts just to say that RVD is not championship material. That's why your opinion doesn't mean anything since you are very bias when is about RVD, love him or hate him the guy is still pretty over after being misused by the WWE time after time.

Dude...what are you talking about? Whether he hates RVD or not (which might be his opinion I guess) he still presented it very clearly...and gave reason enough so that it should even make RVD fans start to think...I really don't see what was wrong with how he put it.

Comparing RVD to DDP is going to make me think twice about Rob? DDP had to move right next to Bishoff's house and kiss his ass to get the title, if anything DDP is more like Orton than anything else. And I agree about everybody being entitled to their own opinion but it doesn't mean he is right, RVD is not getting the push he deserves b/c he is not a WWE homegrown wrestler just like Eddie, Y2J and many others now that's the main reason why he might not get a chance to be a main eventer.

I was referring moreso to how he compared the skills of RVD to that of the likes of Kane, HHH, and Benoit. Saying that there really isn't anything that RVD really excels at, and even as an RVD fan I know that. The only thing he can really do anymore...is get the crowd going, because he has a great catchphrase. But other then that, he still doesn't get that big of a reaction anymore. Of course that may have to do with the pushes he's gotten, but then again it may not, what if he had beaten Triple H at Unforgiven?..

"Dude...I'm the World Champion. Awesome right?"

Just one thing I would expect to see in some of his promos..

Why do people act as if DDP wasn't over at all whatsoever when he got the World title?

Because he wasn't ? Did you hear the lack of real reaction at Spring Stamepede 1999 when he won the belt ? The guy was the Ronnie Garvin of WCW.

According to Meltzer Smackdown's rating of 2.6 is scary bad, maybe they should just end the brand split.  An angle of Raw vs. Smackdown would probably draw in a little interest.

There was also the 1st NFL game of the season, as well as the new season of Trump's "Apprentice" starting (not sure how much of an effect that show had, but it did pretty good ratings-wise last season). SD also didn't air here in Philly yet.

That is still a low number. Sometimes I feel that the wwe gets too many excuses at times(sometimes its warranted) because the wwe is the only game in town. Why were ratings higher when they had an alternative in wcw.

Competition makes a better show. Fox should put Impact on monday nights to start the Monday Night Wars again. Then and only then will there be anything worth watching sports entertainment wise.

And that would be...the sudden death of TNA. Because I'm sure then even less would watch Impact, and now, less people watching Impact = less people ordering the PPV.

IMO there's no way that TNA stands a chance against WWE at the moment, and if they tried it wouldn't be the 'same as the Monday night wars' and I doubt RAW/Vince would try any harder. You'd probaly get the same stuff...with some subtle TNa jokes every now and then probaly. But no, feuds, in turn making shows better.

It would give fans a choice.

A) Watch Diva Search

B) Watch Dusty & Russo argue over Jeff Hardy

C) Watch John Madden say "Boom tough acting Tinanctin and Ace is the place"
