how come when HHH did his 'I hate Benoit promos' people said Benoit was over when they chanted for him, instead of 'it was just to annoy HHH'?

 

I don't remember them stating that. They did say Benoit was over. He got the same reaction that Orton gets now in basically everything (Benoit got more reaction during matches though). Benoit was much more likable than Orton now, you could buy his character, I don't know what Orton is, he is very annoying now.
