Sean Waltman coming to

Recommended Posts

I got this from WrestlingObserver:

--Since we've had a number of questions about this stemming from something in the Pro Wrestling Torch, Sean Waltman has said he's planning on going into TNA with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall as The Outsiders.

The price tag for the three of them is more than everyone else in TNA combined. I don't know if bringing in THREE WASHED UP HAS-BEENS is a good idea. I can see one, two MAYBE, but three? Why not just send $2 mil. at Hulk Hogan and bring in the nWo completely?

While we're at it, how bout calling in Buff Bagwell and Rick Steiner. I heard they will work for anyone if the pay is good. And whatever happend to that "I'm no longer Buff" storyline Bagwell had in like Week 5?

Thats why I was wondering whatever happend. Did Bagwell not like the storyline or something and left, then Tenay/West completely ignored it when he did show up again?

This is comedy. Next thing you know the entire Clique will be in TNA. Yeah, that's a good way to survive.

*slaps head*

I think I'm giving up on pro-wrestling. North American federations have killed it for me. WWE sucked my will to live (I don't know if the last straw was Noble getting fired or Viscera being re-hired) and then TNA came along and pulled the cord on the life support. RoH can't bring back the dead.

I probably won't post anymore due to the absense as well. If there's one thing I don't need to do, it's sound hypocritical...again.

Peace.

Viscera was Re-Hired!? What the fuck am I missing from the WWE Folder? Anyone else being fired/hired lately?

...Eh, at least Gangrel had a kick ass entrance. Viscera/Mabel is completely worthless, and even TNA knew it by not letting him wrestle.

Any news on when they are going to be on T.V.?

Ok, I hope I don't fuck up...

So I can guess they are in some kind of role where the Undertaker squashes them? And are they just one time appearences or are they on the roster full time? I hope Gangrel stays, him on Velocity would be entertaining.

Waltman is not that bad in the ring, and at least if they're all in the one match together, they can't ruin any others. Plus, as a three-man team, they won't be going for titles.

I don't know, Nash will probably break something getting out of his car when he arrives at the arena.

Say no to the nWo!

Maybe for once they'll be brought in as faces to go against Jeff. because I don't see JJ turning face anytime soon unless he has turned face in the past 5 weeks which I missed.

Maybe they arent asking for too much pay, Hall and Pac must be eager for a job since they don't have a weak movie career to fall back on.

Jeff just needs "big" names to solidify his title reign, because I'm pretty sure it's not in TNA's foresight to set up hot Nash vs Dallas matches ... hhmaybe it is.

You'll justify anything won't you.

I'll try to provide a balanced look at an issue, rather than just bitch about every fucking piece of news, real or imagined, that somebody bothers to post up.

Waltman back in TNA: okay. He had two *** matches last time against AJ Styles, and can obviously go when motivated. In TNA nowadays, he'll be thrust into the main event (again), and might actually pull something watchable out of JJ.

Hall back in TNA: Yes! The man is a great performer, especially for someone with his demons. He commands an audience on the mic, and will sell for anybody in the ring. I won't mind his return at ALL.

Nash coming to TNA: Well...2/3 ain't bad? Nash will hurt TNA more than he'll help, as fans don't give two fucks about him anymore, he won't put anybody over that he's not buddies with, and if he gets into the booking...Jesus...

Syxx-pak can have the X-Division Title too. Remember the shitty way he won it the first time?

If they only used Nash as a commentator he'd be good, especially as he'd probably be too injured to actually wrestle.

There's money to be made off Scott Hall, and Waltman could be a good hand if he's properly motivated and stays in his place (a lot like Jeff Hardy, actually). Nash, on the other hand, is a waste of time, money, and space. As Laz said, 2/3 ain't bad. At least they'll add something to the main event and we won't have to see JJ bury everybody all the time.

What really pisses me off is that Jarrett has decided to change TNA from what it was originally supposed to be. In the beginning, TNA was the place to go if you want your talent recognized and didn't want to have to cow down to egos or politics. In truth, TNA's gotten as bad at these things as WWE. The one important thing they were supposed to be, an alternative to WWE, they decided to go against, and the product sucks for it. Maybe having Nash around will take them back to that state of mind.

I'm for it just so long as the odds of a Clique/Douglas altercation are good.

If TNA stops the Russo vs Dusty storyline for this than it can be a good thing.

But if it's used to push the Rhodes/Russo feud....well, it will still be good, but it's still Rhodes & Russo.

If they don't have the tag and world titles within a month of their debut I'll be stunned.

Couldn't see it. Same as Sting - they just won't be around long enough to have any reason for giving them the belts.

True. They probably won't be around for too long, as TNA couldn't possibly afford to sign them. What will most likely happen is we'll get to see some fabulously crappy matches involving a few 6-Man tags, and Hall and Waltman each doing the job to His Lordship Jeff Jarrett. Then they'll leave and TNA will be in the same rut they're in now. And worse, I can't see the situation being any better if Hall/Nash/Waltman stayed on permanently.

Yup, and I've ordered comp. tapes and shit in the past too. The difference is money. It costs money to buy AJPW comp. tapes. It cost money to get Super J Cup '94 & '95. NOAH, Toryumon, NJPW, etc. I have them now, but I can't afford to have wrestling become a money consuming hobby. I can't keep up.

I bought a six-hour Puro. comp. tape. awhile ago It's the best wrestling tape I own. Nothing but Misawa, Kobashi, Akiyama, Kawada...and a little Taue. I also got a six-hour Ring of Honor comp. tape, some Super J Cup tournaments and some other things. They all cost me.

In the past, I was content with WWF. Then WCW came along, and I enjoyed that too. Then ECW. Now I don't have any of them, really. I don't even watch Impact anymore. I still watch Raw, but that's more out of having nothing else to do on Mondays (especially during NFL off-season) and because a couple friends always come over weekly to watch it.

If they didn't come over, I'd probably quit watching that too. I used to watch Sunday Night Heat & Velocity...but I definitely don't watch them anymore.

I hate to say it, and it may sound cliché, but I think the internet killed my love for watching wrestling. It was more fun when I was a mark. I didn't dislike people like Kevin Nash because they had low workrate. I liked who I liked because I liked them. Now...I almost feel like a bandwagon jumper. I look for mistakes. I anticipate good workrate. Things like that.

It made me appreciate the business as an artform more, but it makes me dislike it as a whole more.
