TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Ok in my league we play 4 WR's. I got Harrison and Chambers set for 2/4's. But for the other 2 spots I have Doug Gabriel, Michael Clayton and Keiry Colbert. Which 2 should I play this week?

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I'd start Colbert and Gabriel, because Clayton hasn't been given Galloway's spot yet.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I'd start Clayton and Colbert. Tampa Bay is a pre-dominant pass offense and even as a #2, Clayton could still see 4-6 catches and 60-85 yards with 1 score.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Clayton will be #3 this week, behind Tim Brown and Charles Lee.

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Ok I'm leaning to go with Clayton and Colbert since there's more chance of Clayton getting action behind Brown & Lee than Gabriel getting much behind Rice & Porter. Another one now(diff. league): Who do I put in my WR/RB spot: Charles Lee, Reggie Williams(Jac) or Julius Jones?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Stay away from Jones since the Cowboys do not have a legit starting RB and Parcells has said in press conferences that he will continue using multiple sets of RBs during the game. So owners of all Cowboys RBs should be worried and expect no more than 10 touches a game and/or 30 yards from the RBs.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Recently for in the WDI league, I got Suggs and R. Johnson joining my team for running backs. They'll be joining Brian Westbrook, so now I've got depth at runningback. Hopefully. Who out of the three should I install as my two runningbacks? I'm thinking Westbrook for sure, but it's the other two that I'm not really too sure about. Suggs has a spinal injury but if he fully plays could have a good game; whereas I've got a more assured thing about of R.Johnson, but he hasn't really impressed. Who should I choose? Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 18, 2004 R. Johnson? If you mean Rudi then start him. Suggs isn't 100% and Cleveland doesn't need to rush him back into service.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Yes, I meant Rudi. I should've been a little more specific.

Another one now(diff. league): Who do I put in my WR/RB spot: Charles Lee, Reggie Williams(Jac) or Julius Jones? Well Rice has gone on record saying he has no problem about taking a backseat to help develop the young guys. I'd take Reggie Williams
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I just found out that my trade for Rudi Johnson won't give me him till week 3. What's the most likely I'll get for stats on Suggs? Just so I can see how badly I'll lose.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I doubt he'll even play this week. Do you have any other options?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Suggs is Questionable so that means you have roughly a 60% of him playing this week. Better start somebody else instead of him.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I doubt he'll even play this week. Do you have any other options? Rudi was supposed to be my other back and I have no idea why I'm having that trad for Rudi not being put through till next week. Suggs is Questionable so that means you have roughly a 60% of him playing this week. Better start somebody else instead of him. I don't have anyone else. As I stated before, Rudi is supposed to be my other running back, but for some fucked up reason, I don't get him till next week. If Suggs doesn't start, just my luck, I guess. Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I think Gabriel is a one week wonder, so to speak
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 19, 2004 Who should I start tomorrow. Jerry Porter vs. Buffalo or David Terrell vs. G.B. I'm leaning more towards Terrell right now.
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 I think Gabriel is a one week wonder, so to speak I'd agree with you if Gabriel didn't have three long touchdown runs in the preseason. But he does and, since Norv Turner keeps harping about a vertical passing attack, he's more of a fit into the scheme than Jerry Rice. He's awesome bench candy if you're in a really deep league or in a league with a lot of teams.
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 Who should I start tomorrow. Jerry Porter vs. Buffalo or David Terrell vs. G.B. I'm leaning more towards Terrell right now. Porter is the better wide receiver, but Terrell is probably the better play this week, as he is the only option in Chicago (what the hell happened to Justin Gage?) and the Bears will probably be throwing a lot in the second half. razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 David Terrell did nothing this week for the Bears made -8 yards rushing.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 19, 2004 In one of my leagues I managed to get Tom Brady, Roy Williams and the New England defense for Jeff Garcia, Marty Booker and the K.C. defense.

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 Well I started clayton and Colbert. Colbert paid off and Clayton was average. Didn't check Gabriel yet. BTW, speaking of good trades, 2 weeks ago I traded Charles Rogers for Domanack Davis. Damn that turned out well.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 Gabriel had no stats. He did nothing today.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 19, 2004 Yeah, the other managers were begging him not to take the trade but he did anyway. Not my fault that he's an utter moron and will give anything away for Cleveland players.
