Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2004 They're simply not going to throw in the middle of a hurricane, man. If they don't cancel/move the game, don't start the kid. I'm thoroughly confident he'll do fine when he's not throwing into a catergory 5 storm, though.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2004 Well i'm screwed. I just hope I get double digit points out of him. If I had another option, i'd sit him, but Ben must start.

I've got Trent Green if you want him. Suit me up a deal and we can get a trade done before this Sunday (as long as it is reasonable). Although, don't expect a response to your trade offers tll 6pm MST (8PM EST) at the earliest since I've actually have to get back to class now.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2004 Its from a yahoo league, if not, we would have probably traded by now. Thanks for the offer though. EDIT: I just made you an offer. Different one though. If you decline, give me one for Green.

Different one though. If you decline, give me one for Green. Ah... I thought it was for COSG originally. My bad. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty well good for backs, so I'm not really in need of another one. Just looking for a good receiver. Besides, I don't want to cripple ya. So counter offer has been made. Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2004 Bah. I can't do it. Moulds is my next most reliable reciever after Moss. I'll think up of some other trade, maybe.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2004 Wow. In one of my Yahoo fantasy games, Ramsay was the only QB left to take who might start this monday. Ben Roetesjltsjfksd was my other starting QB.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2004 On ESPN.com they are saying that the game is just being pushed back to tomorrow night.

If your only 2 options are the Redskins or Steelers QBs then you are better off using Ben Rothioeraajrbuger than Ramsey. If the Redskins made 7 turnovers against the Giants then think how many they will make against their most hated rival in the Cowboys?
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2004 Yeah, the game will be played, they just don't know if it will be that night or Monday night.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Trent Green Kerry Collins Carson Palmer Which QB should I start this week?
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Why are you even putting Green up? It's between Collins and Palmer. Houston has allowed 76 pts. 35.05 in fantasy points (in the TSM Keeper League) and not really ranked anywhere to being worth on a team. 6 sacks and 2 INTs. Pittsburgh has allowed 48 pts. 51.90 in fantasy points (in the TSM Keeper League) and has 8 sacks, 4 INTs. Looking at it like that, and seeing the rest of the stats, I would rather go with Collins. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I was leaning towards Collins, but wasn't positive.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 OK, I've got a Steve McNair issue. My other options are Volek, Tim Rattay and Jonothan Quinn. Quinn is likely dropped after this week, so should I wait to choose between Billy and Steve, or just start Rattay instead?
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'd wait to choose between Steve/Volek although I think McNair will start cause he's impervious to what mortals call a "bench" so that's my reasoning.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Is Rattay even back yet? Either way, go with the Tenn QB. SF's passing game is a joke and Jonathan Quinn is set up for a public execution this Sunday.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'd go with the Tennessee QB. I think the coaches will make McNair sit, but there's no way to know until Sunday morning.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Is Rattay even back yet? Either way, go with the Tenn QB. SF's passing game is a joke and Jonathan Quinn is set up for a public execution this Sunday. Rattay was taking reps with the first stringers so he looks to be coming back at sometime during this week's game. He should be an improvement on Dorsey, at any rate. I've got Quinn because I had Grossman, and my keeper league has a FA backup rule which allows me to pick him up. He's likely to be dropped, but still, I'd like to have a look at him before saying that for sure. So Steve/Billy it is. I hate game time decisions.
Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Well Guys, you have been very helpful all season, and I need some more advice. This weekend I need help with my RB choices: RB- Barlow, Barber, Pittman, Emmitt Smith. These are my WR choices: TO, Walker(GB) (I am starting these two for sure) Jimmy Smith So my dilema is this, I am not sure what two RB's I should start for sure this week. And for my RB/WR, should I go with a WR, or RB? Jimmy Smith is going against a bad Pass Defense, Emmitt Smith is going against a poor run defense, but the Cards might be playing catch up, and hence they might be passing more. Barlow is banged up, and might not be that productive. And Pittman makes his debut, and looks to get many carries on a poor offensive team, but this might be a case of RB does all the work, goalline back gets the scores. So who would you start. Also, in my league, you get a point for each catch, so hopefully that sheds some light. Once again, thanks for the help.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 I would use Barlow, Barber, and Pittman at the flex spot. Pittman has had about 130 receptions over the past two seasons, so the move to him from Garner (another top notch receiving back) should not skip a beat.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Yeah, but Pittman plays for a terrible offense. With a point for each reception, I'd take Jimmy Smith over Pittman. Smith is Leftwich's go-to guy, and the Jags might be playing catch-up this week.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Garner only had one less catch on the season than Jimmy Smith (10 to 9). With how bad the TB offense has been, that usually leads to more check downs and swing passes to the RBs.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Pittman also got 50-60 catches last season as well as 1300 combined yards in 11 starts. I'd expect him to get 3-5 catches per game for the rest of the season(Between 39-65 catches total) which should give him around 20-40 yards receiving a game to go with his rushing stats. The Bucs do have a capable WR in Michael Clayton who can do some damage so they aren't that devoid of talent(pretty close though).
notJames 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Sorry to derail a bit but... Should I start Trent Green against the Ravens, or Ben Rothschildrosensteinkleineburgher against the Bengals? Bear in mind, I have the Ravens defense. Should I play it safe and go with Green even though he might not perform well, or risk putting in the rookie who might not even throw that much? Thanks in advance, gents.
