OaO Fantasy Football Advice Thread

Well i'm screwed. I just hope I get double digit points out of him. If I had another option, i'd sit him, but Ben must start.

I've got Trent Green if you want him. Suit me up a deal and we can get a trade done before this Sunday (as long as it is reasonable). Although, don't expect a response to your trade offers tll 6pm MST (8PM EST) at the earliest since I've actually have to get back to class now.

Its from a yahoo league, if not, we would have probably traded by now. Thanks for the offer though.

EDIT: I just made you an offer. Different one though. If you decline, give me one for Green.

Ah... I thought it was for COSG originally. :) My bad.

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty well good for backs, so I'm not really in need of another one. Just looking for a good receiver. Besides, I don't want to cripple ya. So counter offer has been made.

Wow. In one of my Yahoo fantasy games, Ramsay was the only QB left to take who might start this monday. Ben Roetesjltsjfksd was my other starting QB.

If your only 2 options are the Redskins or Steelers QBs then you are better off using Ben Rothioeraajrbuger than Ramsey. If the Redskins made 7 turnovers against the Giants then think how many they will make against their most hated rival in the Cowboys?

Why are you even putting Green up?

It's between Collins and Palmer.

Houston has allowed 76 pts. 35.05 in fantasy points (in the TSM Keeper League) and not really ranked anywhere to being worth on a team. 6 sacks and 2 INTs.

Pittsburgh has allowed 48 pts. 51.90 in fantasy points (in the TSM Keeper League) and has 8 sacks, 4 INTs.

Looking at it like that, and seeing the rest of the stats, I would rather go with Collins.

OK, I've got a Steve McNair issue. My other options are Volek, Tim Rattay and Jonothan Quinn. Quinn is likely dropped after this week, so should I wait to choose between Billy and Steve, or just start Rattay instead?

I'd go with the Tennessee QB. I think the coaches will make McNair sit, but there's no way to know until Sunday morning.

Is Rattay even back yet?

Either way, go with the Tenn QB. SF's passing game is a joke and Jonathan Quinn is set up for a public execution this Sunday.

Rattay was taking reps with the first stringers so he looks to be coming back at sometime during this week's game. He should be an improvement on Dorsey, at any rate.

I've got Quinn because I had Grossman, and my keeper league has a FA backup rule which allows me to pick him up. He's likely to be dropped, but still, I'd like to have a look at him before saying that for sure.

So Steve/Billy it is. I hate game time decisions.

Well Guys, you have been very helpful all season, and I need some more advice.

This weekend I need help with my RB choices:

RB- Barlow, Barber, Pittman, Emmitt Smith.

These are my WR choices:

TO, Walker(GB) (I am starting these two for sure) Jimmy Smith

So my dilema is this, I am not sure what two RB's I should start for sure this week.

And for my RB/WR, should I go with a WR, or RB?

Jimmy Smith is going against a bad Pass Defense,

Emmitt Smith is going against a poor run defense, but the Cards might be playing catch up, and hence they might be passing more.

Barlow is banged up, and might not be that productive. And Pittman makes his debut, and looks to get many carries on a poor offensive team, but this might be a case of RB does all the work, goalline back gets the scores.

So who would you start. Also, in my league, you get a point for each catch, so hopefully that sheds some light.

Once again, thanks for the help.

I would use Barlow, Barber, and Pittman at the flex spot. Pittman has had about 130 receptions over the past two seasons, so the move to him from Garner (another top notch receiving back) should not skip a beat.

Yeah, but Pittman plays for a terrible offense. With a point for each reception, I'd take Jimmy Smith over Pittman. Smith is Leftwich's go-to guy, and the Jags might be playing catch-up this week.

Pittman also got 50-60 catches last season as well as 1300 combined yards in 11 starts. I'd expect him to get 3-5 catches per game for the rest of the season(Between 39-65 catches total) which should give him around 20-40 yards receiving a game to go with his rushing stats. The Bucs do have a capable WR in Michael Clayton who can do some damage so they aren't that devoid of talent(pretty close though).

Sorry to derail a bit but...

Should I start Trent Green against the Ravens, or Ben Rothschildrosensteinkleineburgher against the Bengals? Bear in mind, I have the Ravens defense. Should I play it safe and go with Green even though he might not perform well, or risk putting in the rookie who might not even throw that much?

Thanks in advance, gents.
