Welcome to the club

I shave my head, it's great... but I only recommend it if you have some kind of build.

If you're a lanky limey, well.... tough shit

I think I'm going bald, too, honestly. My parents keep telling me that I'm pulling at the back of my head whenever I get really nervous during a Cubs or Bears game, and strongly suggested that I watch with a hat on.

Going to invest in some Ron Propeil Hair-in-a-Can? Or are you going to wear hats forever now?

Do you have the Hogan skullet or Jerry Lawler losing it from the back look or will you go with the HBK look of growing it out long to cover up the loss in the front?

I started going bald last year...I'm getting "alleys" instead of a receding hairline. So it's making a nice smiley face on the top of my head. I completely shaved my head when I noticed, but whenever I miss a few shaves, it's there to mock me. Very painful experience, I empathize completely.

There's only one way out and that's suicide.

Everytime I get my hair cut, they always say how thick it is and how I'll probably never go bald. So, I expect to lose all my hair by the time I turn 30.

My cousin was pretty much bald in his early-20s, so he just shaves his head now.

I always had the thinnest hair, and always kept it very short just because I hated dealing with it. Then, a couple years ago I dyed it blond. After it grew out, and I shaved it off with a one clip, I noticed it was starting to recede. So I started Bicing it, and everytime I did, the hairline went further back. Now I just use the one clip, but my hair is definitely running away from my face. I just go with the old bandanna or hat, or both and try to avoid social situations that would result in me having to take either off.

Also, for some reason, the hair I do have in the front comes in very, very light blond, and the rest comes in almost black. So I look even balder.

Actually, it heredity in hairloss is dependent on your mother's father. So if your grandfather is bald.........your fucked....

Both my dad and mom's dad have full heads of hair, but I got the hairloss gene anyway, so judging by your male relatives' hair isn't really accurate

That's how it goes for the baldness gene though....that's what I've been told by doctors.....

I'm not bald.......I just work in a doctors office.

Bizarre, considering that I created anti-Rogaine and sprinkled everything you eat and drink with it.

Something I've thought about

If bald grampa is a "guarantee" that his daughters' sons will go bald, think about a family you might know with that makeup and see if it's near 100% accuracy or not

My sister-in-law's very bald dad had five girls who have had three sons so far (including my nephew). It might be interesting in the future to see what happens.

Also to note, I have a cousin who shares the same situation as mine (he has full headed dad and his mom's dad is my aforementioned full headed grampa, but he's thinning).

Well, my female relatives also have their hair...basically I don't think anyone in my family I've met has been bald. Course, if I lose my hair I will shave my head and paint it on, like Phil Judd of Split Enz. They were great.

It's not always a "Guarantee" that you will go bald if your Mom's father is. It's just that is how the gene works and if you do go bald......that's where you inherited the gene from.
