Smackdown spoiler for the main event

Recommended Posts

Found this on the Rajah forums, sounds true. This is what happens in the Eddie/Show vs. Kurt/Luther match:

Eddie hits a frog splash off of Show's shoulders and is about to get the pin when Mark Jindrak (?) breaks up the pin and beats down Eddie. Show fights them off but Kurt comes from behind and hits Show with a tranquilizer dart. He then cuts off Show's hair.

I'm sure full spoilers will be up soon, but I figured I'd post this anyways.

He hit him with a tranquilizer dart?

Wow...I'm not sure if that's fuckin stupid or hilariously brilliant.

Unique at the very least I suppose. Better than putting a rag over his face while Michael Cole complains about the horrible smel, I suppose.

Yeah yeah...just got back from there.

While Jindrak (yeah, guess Kruts forming a stable) and Reigns are distracting show Kurt enters the ring with A GUN~! And shoots the dart at Show. Show gets woozy...ALMOST chokeslams Kurt...then falls. Jindrak runs to the back and comes out with hair clippers! It was hilarious.

In other news....

Paul London vs. Kidman was to open but Kidman walked out. So Booker had a match with London for some reason. Booker wins by cheating...tries to cut a promo but London attacks him during it and they're seperated.

Kidman vs. London is made for No Mercy- if Kidman doesn't wrestle he's fired.

Before the CW Title match Rey is speaking in Spanish and Kenzo corrects him. So Rey slaps him. So Kenzo/Dupree cost Rey the CW Title......Kenzo/Dupree vs. RVD/Mysterio is made for No Mercy (RVD ran in to help Rey.)

Hogan...Austin...Steph....Foley- all tell 1 or 2 moments via video clip. Nothing special.

Vis/Gangrel- dubbed "The Ministry" lose to Taker. They have the Brood music, but no cool fire intro- but Gangrel still spits. After the match Taker does shoves a chair into Vis' throat (think back to when he did it to Matt Hardy)..Vis falls on his ass and I recall the beer slip incident to a hearty laugh. Then JBL stares at Taker from his limo. yay.

Torrie vs. Dawn in a School Girl Match (school girl outfits) turns into Mae/Moolah vs. Torrie/Dawn- really...it does.

All Cena does is do a rap from ontop a production trailer where he quotes Stone Cold and The Rock.

And...uh...'bout it, not a lot of wrestling.

Oh...the NM Card is surprsingly developed:

Taker/JBL- Last Ride Match

Cena/Booker- Match 5 US Title Match

Dupree/Kenzo vs. RVD/Mysterio- Tag Title Match

Kurt Angle vs. Big Show

Eddie vs. Luter Reigns (announced tonight)

London vs. Kidman

No new set...no new intro/theme music.....but there did seem to be new match-up screens, entry-way graphics, and new music played in/out of commercials and stuff (a generic rock theme that sounds slightly like Guerilla Radio)

Mark Jindrak? I guess this may be possibly be the beginning of this Kurt Angle led stable that's been rumored for a while.

He shot the Big Show with a tranquilizer dart gun?

Ladies and gentleman...what the fuck?

Once again, I still like it better than the typical rag over face method of knocking someone out. But Jesus Christ, just hit him with a rock or something, a dart gun is a bit much.

JRE can put up more detailed results, at which point I'll take these down....

dark matches and velocity (not sure which are which)

shannon moore vs carlito carribean cool, cool wins cleanly I think.

hardcore holly vs rene dupree, dupree wins but kenzo threw holly's leg off the rope during the pin.

nunzio vs akio, nunzio wins.

johnny the bull vs some jobber, bull wins.

rico and charlie vs bashams, rico and charlie win.

smackdown:

Paul London vs Billy kidman, but billy walks out and booker t comes out to fight london instead. He uses the ropes to beat london.

Soike vs Rey mysterio, dudleys are thrown from ringside, later rene dupree and kenzo come out and help spike because rey knocked kenzo out backstage earlier. Spike wins.

Undertaker vs Gangrel and Viscera, taker wins with a tombstone piledriver on gangrel I believe, later on choke slams viscera. jbl and orlando were at ringside and tried to interfere (well orlando tried) but did not succeed.

what was supposed to be dawn marie vs torrie wilson in a schoolgirl match becomes them two vs moolah and mae young in a school girl match. funny match, bronco buster from old ladies onto dawn marie (they were wearing skirts too). dawn marie gets pinned, torrie just thinks its all funny and hugs both old ladie.

eddie and big show vs angle and luther, pretty good match, in the end the reflection of perfection mark jindrak comes out and helps angle and luther and luther takes out eddie on the outside of the ring, kurt gets a tranquilizer gun and shoots big show and then they shave his head after he eventually goes down, no winner i guess.

Yes...I edited them in above.

Some Velocity notes...well, just that Carlito got a good reaction, and his finisher is just a fall-backward face slam thingy from a Rock Bottom position

Well, it's kind of cool that London gets a PPV match, I hope he and Kidman do really well in it.

EDIT: Maybe we should post the full spoilers under a new topic now that we have them?

Oh I almost forgot.  Vince McMahon is given a poem.  A poem, by Heidenreich.

Does he go anal on Vince?

Nope, but they stare deep into each others eyes and Vince tells him it was a really nice poem.

Started off with the "Lonely Road" video. New footage added. Trish and Jericho among others.

Velocity

Carlito Caribbean Cool (who got good heat) vs Shannon Moore

--Good match. Carlito uses a side slam type finisher for the win. Sorry, bad with move names. Kind of like a reversed Side Russian Leg Sweep, only he picks the guy up.

- Bill DeMott and Josh Mathews enter. Long intro to Bill’s music.

Nunzio (w/ Johnny) vs Akio

- Really good match.

Rico and Charlie Haas (w/ Jackie) vs The Bashams

-Big return for Rico, who had a lot of crowd support. Rico gets the pin after a moonsualt.

Rene Dupree (w/ Kenzo and Hiroko) vs Hardcore Holly

--Rene really riled up the crowd early in the match. Big Heat for the guy

-Side note: noticed that Hiroko is now wearing the French and Japanese flags in her hair, and worked the two into her fan. (hey, it’s Hardcore Holly, not that exciting)

Johnny The Bull vs Tony Cilantro (?)

-Jobber squash match

Smackdown

Big Eddy Chant after Michael Cole and Tazz enter.

-Vince tells us it’s going to be a special night.

Booker T enters. Impromptu match. London Wins.

-Big Cena chant for Booker

Foley favorite moment

Kidman and Teddy talk

-Great promo from Spike and Rey. Kenzo tells Rey to speak in English after he gets all Latino. Really good segment

Rey vs Spike (w/ Dudley’s)

- Good match. Kenzo and Rene come out. They help Spike keep his belt.

Steph favorite moment. Watch the show for this.

T-Shirt guy bombard audience (like 15 T-shirts given out). I don’t get one. Bastard.

-Moments ago, no commentary

Recap of prison love scene with Heidenriech and Mikey Cole. Touching. In a creepy way. Nice edit job, but you still feel the love.

Johnny goes to see Vince

The Ministry (Gangrel and Viscera) vs Taker

-JBL watches from the roof of his limo. Viscera sucks. Pretty quick squash match. Taker wins adn then taunts Bradshaw.

Vince talks with Johnny. Watch the show for this. Johnny says he and Vince are a lot alike. Johnny reads more touching poetry.

Crowd chants Eddy

Plug Next Top Model

Stone Cold shows up on the screen.Big crowd pop.

Schoolgirl match. Dawn Marie vs Torrie Wilson. They look great.

-Teddy comes out and flubs his line, but still manages to announce that Old School will be part of the match. Moolah and Mae enter. Booing ensues.

Moolah and Mae win. Dead silence.

-Thank God for hot chicks.

-Torrie tries to get the fans to cheer. Dead silence.

Eddy chant again

Stone Cold moment. Big pop. Cut short. Booing ensues.

Superstar Billy Graham makes an appearance.

Carlito Promo

John Cena steals the Rock and Stone Cold’s catchphrases from the top of a truck. Not in the arena.

No Mercy Card Rundown

-Eddy vs Luther Reins

Kurt Angle cuts a great promo. Hearty "What?" chant

Hogan favorite moment. Big pop

Eddy and Big Show vs Angle and Luther

-Still no mic time for the big man.

-Ending was mark Jindrak running out to interfere. Angle gets a tranq gun (I kid you not) and shoots Big Show. Then they shave part of his head.

-I leave after Show makes it up the ramp, and Eddy gets up.

-That's all I needed to see.

"Hey Paul, we got a great idea! After the match, Kurt will come back with... wait for it... a tranquilizer gun, and he'll shoot you and knock you out!"

"Uh, Vince, how can we fake me getting shot with a dart?"

"Don't worry Paul, you'll hardly even feel it. Then Kurt will shave your head."

Seriously, how do you work shooting someone with a goddamn dart gun?

I would say those last set of spoilers are fucked up. It states London beats Booker T.. which I highly Doubt. London is one of the best on the roster, but WWE ain't that smart.

London vs Kidman at the PPV.. nice.. hopefully it gets 15+ minutes, if It does, I'll be happy.

SUPRISINGLY... the No Mercy card has been built up rather well. With the exception of the Tag Title Match (just from this week I guess)... Booker/Cena for obvious reasons, JBL/Taker has had some buildup... Kidman.London has been done well.. I might actually order..

Here's a report from CRZ's board:

SmackDown / Velocity – Phoenix – 9/21/04

Dark Matches / Velocity Taping

1) Carlito Carribean Cool vs. Shannon Moore: I’ve seen Carlito work a dark match in Phoenix before – he’s good. He’s got a really strong presence & really seems to enjoy playing an arrogant ass. Very nice “flippy stuff” by Shannon. Gave the win to Carlito. Fun match.

Josh & DeMott make their (separate) entrances.

2) Nunzio w/ Stamboli vs. Aikio: Nunzio was very good here; Aikio wasn’t’ bad; & Stamboli was all kinds of cute, bouncing every time Nunzio would do good & working the crowd. Stamboli interferes with Aikio’s attempt to cheat with feet on ropes, allowing Nunzio the pin.

Woah -- big, gorgeous VIP-type guy, just strolled by from the back & was escorted to his seats. I dunno who he was, but very muscular, very expensive watch, very gorgeous, fairly skanky-looking female with him (IMO).

3) Charlie Haas & Rico w/ Miss Jackie vs. the Bashams: Rico is so damn happy to be back, it’s adorable! He’s having the time of his life out there, (It’s contagious!), & the gimmick hasn’t changed one bit. Bashams are fine opponents, but this is Rico’s party. Watch for Charlie’s & Rico’s respective high spots at the end of the match – very nice. Give the win to Rico, who’s all smiles. :-)

4) Rene Dupree w/ Kenzo & Hiroku vs. Bob Holly: Where’s Fifi!?!?!? No Fifi???? Awwww. Has Hiroku had the little french & japanese flags in her hair before? Bob got a big entrance pop – surprised me how much. Rene working the crowd extremely well. Good match. Hiroku distracts the ref, allowing Suzuki to attempt to help by cheating, but that doesn’t work. Rene gets a mostly clean pin on Bob, as Bob complains that his foot was on the rope. Which naturally makes him cranky.

On his way out, flattens the incoming jobber on the entranceway. (Oh, Bob. The innocents.)

5) Jobber was announced as something like “Tony Shivatre”, but I believe this is actually Derick Neikirk from IZW in Phoenix vs. Johnny Stamboli (without Nunzio): Jobber does a perfectly lovely job before getting squashed by Stamboli.

Superstar Billy Graham gets escorted to his seats, getting a nice crowd reaction along the way.

Tazz & Cole make their entrance together. Crazy-go-nuts pyro.

SmackDown

6) Billy Kidman vs. Paul London: They make their entrances, the bell rings, Billy has second thoughts before we even start, & walks out. Ref counts 10 for a DQ win to London.

7) Booker T apparently feels that since Paul is all dressed out, he should have somebody to fight, so we have a Booker vs. London match: London does a great job hitting his flashy-cool stuff, & that seems to mesh well with Booker. The match is overall very good. Win to Booker, although both he & Paul looked to be all up in the ropes from where I was.

Booker gets on the mic outside the ring & starts to call out Cena. Paul takes umbrage at being called a “punk ass”, & baseball slides out of the ring into Booker, mid-“Can you dig it…”

Foley’s taped piece: These all basically start with a close-up of the interviewee, talking about “most memorable SD moment”, then shifts into the applicable clips with narration. Foley’s first one was a promo by the Rock, where his sunglasses fly off mid-catchphrase, Foley picks them up, & they both try to carry on without cracking up. His second one was the “transformation” from Mankind to Cactus Jack to fight HHH.

Kidman backstage, dressed & leaving is cornered by Teddy Long. Teddy makes Kidman/London for No Mercy, & informs Billy that if he bails on that match, he’ll be fired.

Josh interviewing Spike & Rey. Rey goes off on Spike in spanish. Kenzo looms up behind him, demanding that he speak english. Rey provides tacit consent by bashing Kenzo with Rey’s big necklace/chain.

8) Rey vs. Spike w/ D’Von & Bubba, for C/W title: Bubba gets caught in-ring, nearly clocking the ref; Bubba & D’Von get tossed. Ref demands Spike back into the ring, as Rey does the vault over the ref-&-ropes to jump Rey on the outside. Accidental ref bump by Rey. Set up for the 619, but Dupree & Suzuki run-in, pull down the middle rope, dumping Rey. They beat on him, toss him in the ring, & Spike gets the pinfall. Rene & Kenzo in to beat on Rey some more, as RVD runs-in to clean house for the save.

Steph’s taped piece: First, there was the time she slapped mom in the ring. (“She dropped like a sack of potatoes.”) Second was the triangle with HHH & Kurt Angle – “He’s the worst kisser.”)

((This is the second night in a row I nearly get killed not trying for a T-shirt, but getting run over anyway. Aieeee!))

Teddy objects to Rene & Kenzo interfering with Rey, & makes them vs. Rey/RVD for No Mercy. Rene trying to figure out “For shizzle fizzle” – silly!

Heidenreich clearing a path backstage, & Cole getting into a panic out at the announcer’s table. Heidenreich, however, is actually heading for Vince’s office.

9) Viscera & Gangrel (billed as The Ministry) vs. The Undertaker: Gangrel’s got a chalice of “blood” that he schlurps then sprays. Undertaker’s entrance is so cool in person. (Talk about “presence”.) Just as Taker gets settled in-ring, JBL’s limo drives in – he pops up (think “Jack in the Box”) out of the limo’s sunroof – he’s just here to watch. Orlando lurks around the ring. Ministry gets the early offence, but Taker rallies for Tombstone to Gangrel & chokeslam (as best he can, not being able to get much height) to Viscera. JBL displeased with this turn of events. One additional chair spot to Viscera causes JBL to bail. Fun stuff.

Heidenreich explains to Vince why they’re alike &/or mirror images of each other, & has another poem. (Anybody watch enough Trading Spaces to remember the one room they kept calling “A Pretty Room … by Doug” ? Now we have “A Poem … by Heidenreich.”) Vince is as placating as possible, & wisely thanks Heidenreich for sharing. (Nobody ever said Vince was dumb.)

10) “School Girl Match” is originally supposed to be Torrie vs. Dawn, but Teddy morphs this into Torrie & Dawn vs. “old school” Mae Young & Moolah. Teddy dancing with Mae & Moolah, & Dawn giving a valiant effort to try to make something watchable kept this all light & silly.

Austin’s taped piece: First, visiting the troops in Baghdad, when he was Santa in disguise. Second, singing & playing guitar with Vince, then Kurt joining in with his “Jimmy Crack Corn”.

Get a (presumably pre-taped) Cena, doing a 5th anniversary commmorative rap. It had enough Rock references in it that I was wondering if we might have a Rock visitation – but no.

(Did I just space that we’d made Eddie vs. Luther for No Mercy, or is that a new development?)

Kurt takes an onscreen promo spot to complain that nobody asked him what his memorable SD moments were. But that he was going to make one tonight. (“What?” They had to show Austin, didn’t they?)

Hogan’s taped piece: First, his return on July 4th, where he got a huge Hulkamania reception. Second, putting over Edge as “future of our business”.

11) Kurt Angle & Luther Reigns vs. Eddie Guerrero & Big Show: Eddie doesn’t even come up to BS’ shoulder! Fun goodness, including a particularly cool spot with Eddie doing a splash off of Big Show’s shoulders! No clue where Jindrak came from, but he arrived to help out Luther keep BS busy while … Kurt shoots Big Show with an air rifle / tranquilizer gun. BS does a lovely collapsing tranquilized elephant impersonation, Kurt sends Jindrak to fetch … clippers. Yup, shaved Big Show’s head while he was down. I’m thinking the end-of-show shot was Kurt posing with the shorn BS head.

Paramedics attempting to roll a rallying Big Show onto a backboard was pretty amusing. Among the paramedics were Mike Nox & Derick Neikirk (IZW), & they got tossed around a bit by the rallying Big Show. Groggy Big Show insisted on staggering out on his own. (Good thing they didn’t have to try to carry him.)

Meanwhile, Eddie is just rallying. He gets into the ring & calls back out Kurt. Wonderful goodness with Eddie’s 3 suplexes, & a 5-star finisher, & Eddie sticking some of BS’ hair onto Kurt’s head. (I’m not sure if Eddie caught Kurt a bit on the landing – we wrapped quite quickly after that.)

--Rene really riled up the crowd early in the match. Big Heat for the guy

-Side note: noticed that Hiroko is now wearing the French and Japanese flags in her hair, and worked the two into her fan. (hey, it’s Hardcore Holly, not that exciting)

That just rules.

Kurt Angle shooting The Big Show with a tranquilizer reminds me of one of MY favorite Smackdown moments that involved the nWo and Steve Austin. Kevin Nash, you take it from here...

HE'S GOT A GUN!
