The Mandarin Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Obviously, this is for the ones here who have actual wrestling collections. Not just a bootleg tape and two packs of WWE Power Pasta. You have a budget of $500. Sadly, you can't buy your life back for $500, so you'll have to make do. You also have the option to keep the $500 and have no wrestling-related materials (other than what you've got on the computer and the television) in your house. Personally, I'd probably buy (Canadian funds): Chris Benoit: Hard Knocks DVD- $32 Ric Flair Collection DVD- $42 Eddie Guerrero DVD- $32 WrestleMania X-7 VHS- $12 RoH: World Title Classic DVD- $42 (with shipping/handling from USA) Autographed Copy of Ric Flair: To Be The Man- $50 Chris Benoit- Crossface T-Shirt- $25 Jakks Classic Superstars Series 1 Bret Hart- $14 Jakks Classic Superstars Series 2 Ric Flair- $14 Jakks Classic Superstars Series 3 Ted DiBiase- $14 Jakks Classic Superstars Series 3 Jake Roberts- $14 Jakks Backlash Chris Benoit- $12 SmackDown: Here Comes the Pain- $70 Pre-Order of SmackDown vs. Raw- $70 I'd use the other $57 for tickets to a house show and camera film to take pictures while I'm there.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Kinda hard to do since I have over 300 wrestling tapes (WWF and WCW) in my collection, countless old figures, and shit loads of old WWF magazines. Plus the wrestling video game and DVD collection. This is much easier for someone who has a small collection of crap. $500 wouldn't even come close to cutting it for me. Wait...is this $500 canadian or american?
Guest Real F'n Show Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Wow, WWE DVDs in Canadia are expensive. $32 for the Benoit DVD? I got mine for $20... To answer the question: Flair DVD- $35 Eddie DVD- $20 Benoit DVD- $20 Rise and Fall of ECW (when it's released)- $20 Mysterio DVD- $20 Bret DVD (when it's released)- $35 (?) Then I'd just spend the rest on indy stuff from smartmarkvideo and ROH...
snuffbox Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Id spend the 500 on concerts and travels. And maybe a copy of Great American Bash 89.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Id spend the 500 on concerts and travels. And maybe a copy of Great American Bash 89. It would probably cost $500 to get a master tape of GAB 89 on eGay.
MillenniumMan831 Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 - Pick up the WrestleMania Collection - Several Royal Rumbles - Rowdy Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits - Ric Flair Collection - Any cheap wrestling tapes/dvds I can find at used cd/video/book stores Realistically, that's about it. I don't really care to rebuy figures/magazines.
razazteca Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Go to all of the usual rental places like Hollywood Video and Blockbuster to get tapes that are on clearence or just rent everything to copy. $3 rentals x 20 = $60 Used video/game store like CD Warehouse, EB, Gamestop for old WWF or Pioneer ECW dvds. $10 x 10 = $100 Buy these new at store: Flair DVD- $27 Eddie DVD- $20 Benoit DVD- $20 Rise and Fall of ECW (when it's released)- $20 Mysterio DVD- $20 Bret DVD (when it's released)- $30 (?) The rest of the budget would be used on indy DVDs like ROH, FMW, older stuff like Wrestling Gold and whatever Takedown Masters has.
theintensifier Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Lots, and lots of personal comps. And: A exact copy of Super Dragon's mask.
Toshiaki Koala Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I would spend all of it on Kaientai shirts.
Guest thatdude21601 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I would start with a bootleg of ARSION's Grand Opening and stop around '00. Yes, and Kaientai shirts too.
