therealworldschampion Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 This has been Pistons-playoff game brutal Bush has been stammering, and Kerry sounds like an Alabama fan talking about Bear Bryant with all of the Vietnam and JFK references
Guest BDC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Of course China would be upset if North Korea developed weapons to use against the US. They might not be able to get the money back they loaned to Bush! China has a huge trade deficit with us.
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry's done decently --- but doing decently is not nearly enough. -=Mike At least he's not shitting his pants with every question being given. That makes Bush look really weak.
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Wait, I'm having Deja Vu here. Didn't we just hear that debate 10 times before? Dude... where's my Presidental Candidates?

They might not be able to get the money back they loaned to Bush! China has a huge trade deficit with us. So then why is Bush so willing to take loans from them? He had money, but that all went out to Haliburton, Enron, and other needless tax refunds.
teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry's sounding like Nixon here, with his secret plans to do everything.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Another Vietnam reference? And, for all of this talk about plans, you kinda dropped the ball on actually explaining them. -=Mike
Guest BDC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 His closing statement says he plans to win in Iraq in the next four year and bring all YOUR children home. O...k...

Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "He was a threat... that's not the issue..." That's a very deadly statement there. It's true. Kerry's problems with Bush weren't that Saddam was a threat, he voted for War too, but HE WOULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB DISARMING IRAQ. That was his point. Whether it's true or not is a matter of opinion. Bush is going to be killed on the Domestic Issues debate if TAX GAP is his best weapon against Kerry.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 This has been Pistons-playoff game brutal Bush has been stammering, and Kerry sounds like an Alabama fan talking about Bear Bryant with all of the Vietnam and JFK references It's 49-48 Bush with 55 seconds left in the third quarter. Both teams shooting about 25% from the floor.

Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry's sounding like Nixon here, with his secret plans to do everything. I hope that means he brings back the "Captain America" initiative of 1971.
CBright7831 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush needs to get his shit together for debate #2.
GreatWhiteNope Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh shit - he stole Bush's spiel. How will Bush end?
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Solid close by Kerry. Unspectacular, but fairly solid.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh shit - he stole Bush's spiel. How will Bush end? By saying the same thing Kerry did, silly!
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry's refusal to actually explain a plan is going to kill him. It looks, more and more, like he has no actual plan whatsoever. -=Mike
GreatWhiteNope Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh shit - he stole Bush's spiel. How will Bush end? By saying the same thing Kerry did, silly! But with ~ZEST!

They received some money out of the whole tax refund thing. And (although unrelated), the Bush Administration DID bend over backwards for them.

Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry's refusal to actually explain a plan is going to kill him. It looks, more and more, like he has no actual plan whatsoever. -=Mike Why? Bush didn't have a plan for anything and he got to be President. Oh and they should have played the Howdy Doody theme after Bush's close.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 The problem is that this isn't a major policy debate; he doesn't have twenty minutes to explain the intricacies of his plans, and it makes him appear to not have a plan.
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 At least their is nothing I want to see the night of the next debate.

Bush did nothing to save Enron. Bush did nothing to help them. Bush was lobbied to help them (by Clinton people) and Bush refused. -=Mike
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Does ANYONE honestly believe that Bush won this?
