Guest Cerebus Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Watching Bush "debate" brings me back to junior high and high school. Remember those oral reports? There was always at least one slacker who just copied an encyclopedia entry or a web site onto some note cards and went up there with zero prep. No eye contact, leaning on the podium, stuttering and stammering through the whole thing, clearly no idea what he is reading. I've got a suggestion for "President" Bush: if you're going to answer every question with prepared statements that your flunkies wrote for you, at least make sure that you understand what the hell you are reading. Fucking retard.

CheesalaIsGood 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Ah, a blithering putz thinks Bush is a fucking moron. Delicious is the irony. -=Mike Since you think you are qualified to make such an observation is twice as ironic. Shut up. You got nothing. All you do is call people idoits and pretend you offer substance. Half-assed bullshit artist. Weak Mike, just plain weak. At this point I hope John Kerry steals the election by rigging florida, just to show you the MEANING of irony. I hope that tastes good to you too.

Guest MikeSC Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Does John Kerry have a brother in the Florida governor's mansion? No, but he has followers too dim to actually keep up with real news, rather than insanely weak innuendo. -=Mike

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 As someone who thinks our troop presence in Iraq needs to be drastically reduced, and who's certainly not voting for Bush, I still think that Bush won the debate by a strong margin, and I don't get the idea that Kerry "obviously won" the debate. Kerry did not get any kind of a solid agenda across; all he did was attack the president. If Kerry did anything to differentiate himself from Bush, he could have won the debate easily. If he'd said, "our troop presence is too large, and that's provoking the Iraqis" or "it's ridiculous to send out our National Guard when we're not even at war", or done ANYTHING to say what he'd do differently from Bush's "terrible" actions, then I could have respected his argument more. All I got out of the debate though was that Kerry wanted to criticize the president, but had no solutions of his own to change the situation.

jesse_ewiak 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 From those communist pinko lefties at the New York Post.... I guess they aren't used to a president with a memory: http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/31273.htm October 4, 2004 -- Was John Kerry trying to pull something at the debate last week? That question was burning up the Internet yesterday after a slo-mo review of the footage showed the Massachusetts senator taking an object out of his right pocket before the first question. <snip> But the mystery was solved when The Post reviewed a Fox News Channel feed from Thursday's debate: Kerry pulled out . . . a black pen. Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade remained angry at the bloggers' guilt-by-insinuation. "The right-wing attack machine will say anything to steal a debate do-over," he said. "We plead guilty to having a pen." The Bush campaign did not comment.

You can't cry for objectivity when you display none yourself. Considering that the "biased" sources on the right are routinely referred to as such by the left, me mentioning it seems a bit superfluous --- meanwhile, the biased sources from the left are referred to as impartial, a correction is in order. Useful? I don't speak for INXS or Boyscout as I do not know either guy. If you want to lump me in with some posters here for whatever reason feel free. Thanks. Think I will.
