EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 8, 2004 Author Report Posted October 8, 2004 Mine's had some digital static, but no blackout.
Guest Smues Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 5-1 Boston and they're busting this one open.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 So nice of Anaheim to just completely roll over this series. Christ, at least Oakland puts up a fight.
the max Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Bronson is approaching tilde territory. 5-1 going into the bottom of the fifth.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 This is really pathetic. I figured the Sox were going to take the series, but the Angels look completely helpless out there. That fifth inning for the Halos was borderline embarrassing. Taking pitches right down the middle and awful-looking swings. Appears that they're not even going to make this one interesting.
Slayer Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 I guess the rally monkey decided to take the week off
Guest Anglesault Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Someone just told me that they were comparing Kevin Millar to DON MATTINGLY?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 8, 2004 Author Report Posted October 8, 2004 Someone just told me that they were comparing Kevin Millar to DON MATTINGLY? A poor man's Don Mattingly, I would assume. Millar has been a great fielder this season. And at 32, Mattingly hit 291/364/445. That's not far from Kevin Millar.
the max Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 6-1 as Manny drives in another, Scot Shields is being taken out. bottom fifth...

There's alot that goes into fielding, even that you don't see on tv. Perhaps Millar is excellent at setting up before the play. Win Shares rates him as the second best fielding first baseman in the league. And this is a system that rates Tino Martinez and Don Mattingly as "A" fielders.

iliketurtles Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Gotta go, but figured I'd stop in quick. This. Is. Awesome. That is all.

It went over my head.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 I'm assuming this is just a SoCal thing. LA and Anaheim have been DOA. "Like woah, man, we both got there and stuff. ::inhales::"
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 look, if you have a pulse, you can be an above-average first basemen defensively.
Brett Favre Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 So Jason Giambi doesn't have a pulse?
Guest Anglesault Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 So Jason Giambi doesn't have a pulse? Have you seen him lately?
Brett Favre Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 So Jason Giambi doesn't have a pulse? Have you seen him lately? He does look horrible, but he had no pulse even when he looked good.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 8, 2004 Author Report Posted October 8, 2004 Do we really need an in-game update for a game that occured two days ago?
Guest Anglesault Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Do we really need an in-game update for a game that occured two days ago? We don't need a lot of things that ESPN shows us during games. But that's niether here nor now.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 It's not fair to call the Red Sox a Traveling Band of Idiots. They also have their fair share of burnouts and lunatics.
