Kardo Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I thought Cena was at least getting there with the No Mercy match against Angle. Threw in alot of moves I'd never seen him do and looked fairly good (for a WWE wrestler). Now it's cliche after cliche for him.
Silence Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Now it's cliche after cliche for him. It's not just him, though, it's some of the other faces over the years, too (Noble's moveset decreased a lot last year as a face, and Nunzio's better as a heel who dicates the pace in a match with technical wrestling also instead of his depleted underdog moveset he uses now).
Guest Anglesault Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 (edited) I'll take Cena as WWE Champion over Bradshaw any day of the week. By the way, am I the only one who enjoyed the Cena / Dupree feud this year? They focused a bit too much on the unfunny gay jokes for it to be a good feud. Edit: Better? Lil' Bitch Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 I'm guessing next week on SD, they'll say John Cena lost his smile and stayed home.
CBright7831 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 What's even more funny is this whole US Title thing was pointless. Him and Booker wrestled those matches, and Cena lost the title the next night.
algrim Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 There was no point on Cena winning the series. They should've had Booker retain the title, and go after Cena's ankle witha chair after the match to set up the "injury" and the hot rematch at Survivor Series.
