the max Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Pokey, Pokey, Pokey!! That was pretty funny. Bellhorn's sucked this postseason. McCarver: "Pokey Reese would NOT have made that play." Maybe not, but he wouldn't have stumbled around like a moron either, Timmay. TIMMAY!! LETS GO TIMMAY!!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 LOL at the "Cant believe we fell for it again" sign.
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 See? Sturtze has been dynamite in the postseason. The home run to Varitek was it. I don't count the Tori Hunter HR, because well, he gave us 3 and 2/3rds scorless innings before that.
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I don't understand how they bring Foulke in the 7th. Obviously hes your closer, but hes not even in the same universe as say Lidge or Rivera right now, who have the stuff to come in the 7th. Its as if Tito thinks Foulke is compltley un-hittable.
the max Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Who's he going to put in? Myers? Embree? Foulkey's probably the best arm available in the pen, and the Red Sox need to hold the Yanks here.
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I don't see why Sox fans look so depressed about THIS game. I mean, for a team that averaged the most runs per game during the regular season, I'd expect one run in the next three innings. I'm even giving it in that the'll score one in the 7th or 8th.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I agree. There's no tomorrow here.
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Come on Yankees. Just ONE run. please.
the max Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Thanks for the season, Red Sox. Except you, Bellhorn. Fuck you. I don't think if you put your average in a breathalyzer that you'd be legally drunk. The Red Sox would be better off putting Johnny Pesky out there.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Are the Bosox chances so bleak that two of the biggest Yankee fans in this thread are actually switching sides here? I might be wrong in thinking I'd want the Yankees to win and have six days to rest while the Astros and Cards slug it out in their best of three, but that's just me.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Thank you Boston for participating in the 2004 ALCS..you can pick up your complimentary parting gifts as you leave the stadium.. /Tony Bruno mode off.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 MAKE HISTORY OR YOU'RE HISTORY!!!!!!!!! Theyre still breathing!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Buh...? I guess the Red Sox aren't done..but they better win this game in the 9th and not send this to extra innings.. LOL @ "THE GREATEST COMEBACK IN SPORTS HISTORY" sign too..
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I don't understand why Mo buckles down and starts strikeing people out AFTER he fucking blows the save.
NYU Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 How could the Red Sox possibly waste that opportunity?
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Doesn't matter. Were not winning this game.
2GOLD Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 How could the Red Sox possibly waste that opportunity? As my step-brother just said, "Cause they are the f*cking Red Sox!"
Slayer Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Twice in MLB history have teams come back from 0-3 to at most a game 6. No Game 7 though
2GOLD Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Twice in MLB history have teams come back from 0-3 to at most a game 6. No Game 7 though This series was over the minute it was announced Yankees vs Red Sox and the umpire said "Play ball!". Boston just didn't know it. And I HATE the Yankees.
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 All I know ia, the Yankees are NOT winning this game.
treble Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I'm pretty sure the Red Sox will force a 7th game before losing on a walk-off homer by Enrique Wilson.
2GOLD Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 All I know ia, the Yankees are NOT winning this game. Everytime you say this, the Yankees win. oh.... Carry on.
