mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Question for Yankee fans. Lieber has an $8 Million option for next season. Should the Yankees pick it up? I would. He still pitched well tonight, the Yankees couldn't hit anything. Hes been a solid starter the second half of the season, and hes reliable. Without knowing who the Yankees are getting in the off season, I think its a must.
iggymcfly Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 If you don't follow that, you're stupid. Anyway, Francona said Lowe was pitching right after the game when he was getting interviewed on FOX. I have to say that this is pretty crazy though the way the series has turned around.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Question for Yankee fans. Lieber has an $8 Million option for next season. Should the Yankees pick it up? Where's he going to pitch? I would think Johnson and Martinez would shove him out of the rotation (mainly, because, apparently we still like Javy) And yes, if we lose, we are getting Johnson and Martinez.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 God. If we get Pedro, its going to be the Bronz Zoo all over again. And if we do get them, our rotation is Johnson, Pedro, Moose, Brown (please retire), Javy or Lieber.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 It's a Jeopardy joke. A lot of Sox fans weren't too rosy after getting whomped 19-8, and a lot I know weren't too keen to watch game 4. I'm still not getting your point.
DerangedHermit Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 And yes, if we lose, we are getting Johnson and Martinez. They'd get Pedro. Maybe the Yankees could get the fucking midget too. He'd hit better than Tony Clark. Piece of shit sucked as a Met
Guest Anglesault Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 God. If we get Pedro, its going to be the Bronz Zoo all over again. So be it. This current plan clearly isn't working.
Cartman Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I got news for you...If the Sox end up winning it by some miracle...Pedro definitely re-signs for cheap money to defend the title. It's a pride thing.
The Czech Republic Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Pedro can't go to New York, he just can't, it'll be so wrong. He better stay in Boston.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 God. If we get Pedro, its going to be the Bronz Zoo all over again. So be it. This current plan clearly isn't working. How in the hell are Pedro and Posada going to work as a unit?!?

I would think Johnson and Martinez would shove him out of the rotation (mainly, because, apparently we still like Javy) And yes, if we lose, we are getting Johnson and Martinez. If the Yankees ever signed Pedro Martinez, I would be convinced that Steinbrenner has absolutely no morals. For all the trash-talking that Pedro has done against the Yanks, for all the intentional beanballs, for pushing an old man - considered to be somewhat the mascot of the team at the time - down by his head onto the field.....if George ever signed him, I would be fully convinced that the Yanks don't deserve to be World Series champs ever again under the Steinbrenner regime. I mean, really now. Talk about selling out.

mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Its Official. LOWE goes tomorrow. This gives me some hope, if I have any left.

KingPK Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Oh, forget it. At least both bullpens got some rest tonight, because I don't think the starters will be in long tomorrow. This might end up an 11-9 game.
DerangedHermit Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Apparently some dumb shit threw a cell phone on the field...

mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Another advantage we have. Foulke, theres no way possible, is pitching more than one inning. AND HES GOT TO FUCKING GET TIRED EVENTUALLY. And didn't Tito say Wake was pitching on fumes in game 5?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 If anything, Pedro is staying put in Boston where the pressure of the Yankees is gone if they win game 7 or goes to Anaheim to win the damn World Series title he wants (please, 'Stros or Cardinals will mow down the Sox).

Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 AS takes this too god damn seriously. Go get laid. Or go the shoe's head route and drop $250 down.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Man, I thought I was full of hate. Wishing death on someone for striking out? C'mon. Most of you Yanks fans are nuts here. Granted I'd be going up the wall if my team squatted a three-game lead, but you're showing zero faith in the team you've stood by all this time. You get the homefield advantage, Lowe and that Yankees magic we always hear about. You'll be fine. For my sanity, it can't be Sox/Stros.
Slayer Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Anglesault makes Stephen A Smith look like Steven Wright
Guest Anglesault Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 , but you're showing zero faith in the team you've stood by all this time. They look like shit.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 ESPN needs to give AS a Primetime slot with Stephen A Smith and Michael Irvin.

That was away. Big difference. My biggest problem tomorrow is our pitching. I say start Vazquez, and bring Moose in relief.
