Exslade ZX Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Yea...really. I'm not an online shopper at all, ,but my mom possibly wants to buy a DVD from Amazon.com because she can't actually find them in stores, so how exactly does it work? Do you have to use paypal...is there some kind of 'imput credit card # here thing' or...actually mail check/money order somewhere, what? And aren't they like...very reliable.
Mik Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Buying something from Amazon is like buying it from the store. There's a 0% chance of not getting it. You have to enter your CC information, but I've never had a problem with Amazon. I've even ordered from amazon.ca when I wanted the Our Lady Peace DVD that wasn't available in the states. It's not a very risky thing to do. I'd say go for it if it's the only option.
NoCalMike Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 amazon.com is your standard online shop. Just register with all the usual information, and you are ready to go. Depending on what you order and if it is currently in stock or released yet(mostly has to do with music & movies & books) then you get your stuff pretty damn fats. Unless you are into specialized movies such as Hong Kong, Indy, etc......Amazon.com will have everything your average consumer wants.
Downhome Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Tell us what you want to buy and I'm sure one of us might be able to find you an even better deal on it than even Amazon.com offers.
Star Ocean 3 Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Paypal is trying to steal my money. =(
Exslade ZX Posted October 11, 2004 Author Report Posted October 11, 2004 Tell us what you want to buy and I'm sure one of us might be able to find you an even better deal on it than even Amazon.com offers. Sister Act 2 on DVD....yea really >_>. On Amazon, alone I believe it was like 12 something.
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Try www.deepdiscountdvd.com - free shipping.
Downhome Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 It's $9.36/shipped at DeepDiscountDVD.com.
Jobber of the Week Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 That's not much less than Amazon, and Amazon is a lot more trustworthy. If every other place that sold DVDs was wiped off the Earth, leaving just DeepDiscountDVD, I'd just go back to VHS.
Downhome Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 What in the world soured you so on DDD? You can also get this DVD at coconuts.com for $10.98/shipped using this code: 15fsoct.
pochorenella Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 I've been a long time amazon.com shopper and I've never had a complaint, until now. My SummerSlam 2004 DVD seems to be on shipping limbo, since it supposedly shipped almost 10 days ago and has yet to arrive (when I do the tracking it says "in-transit"). Also, all Marvel TPBs no longer have any discount, which pisses me off to no end. They used to have that sweet 30% off, and I buyed a lot of those. Other than that, I strongly recommend them.
