ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 The screen is black to start with, with letters in white reading the following: "The Following Promo Has Been Made With The Help of The Fans And Supporters of Max King and Kelly Connelly (who are also asking the questions)." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera now opens to a press conference table, a huge picture of Max King and Kelly Connelly standing with their respective title belts. After a while, a stocky bald man walks in. "Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for coming out tonight for this press conference this evening, and I'm sure that you're all going to have very good questions for the representatives here tonight. So with that in mind, I would like to welcome, from the SWF, the Intercontinental Television Champion "The Icon" Max King, and the first ever SWF Women's Champion Kelly Connelly." Applause builds heavily from the "press" on the floor, as the two "champions" make their way up the stage...both wearing matching black business-suits and holding their title belts over their shoulders prouldy as they walk up. They wave to the people for a bit, and as soon as the cheers die down, they both approach the podium set up for them. "People, today is the beginning of a new age of greatness." Kelly begins, causing the cheers to rise up again for the moment. "Never before in the history of the SWF have any male and female combination looked as good as we do, and now has been as successful as we both are." Max leans over to the microphone now. "And to all of you, our loyal and supportive fans, we will not dissapoint you in this new age. We promise to bring you exactly what you want to see of us: domination and class, all in one package!" More applause rises up from the people in attendance, causing the two "champions" to beam proudly at this. After the cheering dies out again, Kelly speaks. "Now, I know that all of you are interested in what our thoughts about things in SWF currently, so any questions you may have, go ahead and fire away!" The camera jump-cuts over to the people...first to stand is a man wearing a suit, fedora, and thick, 50's Clark Kent glasses. "First off, what are your thoughts on the rumors that you two bribed Suicide King into making the right decision." "We didn't NEED to bribe him." Kelly begins. "As soon as we made our case known to Suicide King, he realized the truth and knew the right thing had to be done." "It's like the old saying goes." Max begins. "It takes a King to know a King. And Suicide King knew the potential in yours truly, and didn't like to see the injustice put against me. Next question?" This time, a young Asian woman stands up...wearing a kimono. "Mr. King, what are your thoughts about having to go up against Landon Maddix yet again...not only at this upcoming show but defending your championship against him at Ashes 2 Ashes?" "Well, I didn't mind the match at the PPV at all. It's a chance for me to shut him up in a match of my choosing, which I will need some time to think about, as I have many ideas that I'm currently batting around in my head about it. However, I feel that it's wrong that I should have to face him at this show. I mean, what's it going to prove, really? It's not for my title...which Maddix in no way, shape, or form deserves another shot at for the record...and it's not even in the DESERVED spot of being in the main event! It's a worthless match with me fighting a worthless opponent. That's my take on it." Next question comes from a lanky man in a suit wearing Groucho Marx glasses, complete with fake nose. "Kelly, now that you're the SWF Women's Champion, any choice of who you would like to defend your title against?" Kelly smiles softly. "You know, looking up and down the female side of the SWF roster, there aren't really that many females that are deserving of getting a shot at my title. ...think about it...Annie Electric or whatever: lost her first match back in record time. That old maid should have just stayed in the retirement home. Megan Skye? Don't even get me STARTED on that little gutter slut. Andrea Montgomery? ...are we even sure she was born a female?" That comment causes an "oooh" to rise up from the crowd, followed by laughter. Kelly chuckles a bit at this and continues. "Heck, the only woman I can think of that would be worthy of my time for a shot is Jet...and just because she's ALMOST as Goddess-like as yours truly." A young black woman this time. "Yeah, King...what are your plans for if, and that's a big if, I know...you ever lose the ICTV Championship?" "Simply put, the World Title." Max states. "Tox is doing OK with the title right now, and I respect him for finally restoring credibility to that belt after the many pathetic World Champions that we've had before him. However, if he could do as well as he's doing with it at the moment, imagine someone with the good looks and natural charisma of me could do with it. Buyrates and ratings for the shows would be at an all time high the likes of which have never been seen before in history. SWF would be spoken at every water-cooler, every schoolyard, every street corner. Because I am the kind of guy that gets people talking. I'm the kind of guy who promoters all over the world know that they would want to put on the covers of magazines. Quite frankly, I'm truly, and without a doubt...Wrestling's TRUE Icon!" The bald man who started the conference steps in. "One last question..." The group all discuss among themselves the final question, and then the Groucho-Glasses man speaks. "Yes...is there any secret to how you two became so perfect like you are?" King and Kelly both chuckle at this. "That, my friend..." Max begins. "Is for us to know, and you people to try and discover!" A loud, standing ovation comes from the "press" now, as King and Kelly stand up once again, holding their title belts high above them...feeling good about themselves for this press conference. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The screen fades to black again, with words appearing on the screen. "This press conference footage was brought to you by the Fans and Supporters of Max King and Kelly Connelly. It was fine in the infant days, when there were no belts, but now that we've got things set up, it's not really done. Munchie brought back the EUS, but the key words are 'brought back'.
