Mrnoitaull Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Edward Norton. Hell Yeah Ethan Hawke Tom Hanks Leo Dicaprio Jim Carrey
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 I don't think so V-X. Really? That's odd. When watching the trailers on the Eternal Sunshine DVD, I could have sworn they said Will Ferrell in the trailer for Vanity Fair. He's in a trailer for SOME focus features drama, and I don't think it's the one DH mentioned..
Anya Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Emma Caulfield. I'd see a movie with her in it even if it was only for like 2 minutes.
Downhome Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 I know what you are talking about, it's where I first found out about Ferrell being in Winter Passing. So yeah, the trailer you saw on the DVD which showed Will Ferrell was the one for Winter Passing. Check it out again and you'll see what I mean.
Karnage Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Jackie Chan. I actually sat through The Medallion and one of his Lo Wei movies.
AndrewTS Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 ...and Will Smith for me. I hate you and your ilk. Walken I suppose, myself. I must admit Hackman isn't exactly going to turn me away (although there's stuff like Superman IV), either. I strongly reccomend Beat Takeshi to anyone. He's one of the hosts of Most extreme elimination, but he has been called the Japanese Clint Eastwood, for his deadfaced intimdating glare. Start with Brother, his most accessible. He's in Godzilla 2000, right?
Downhome Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 I forgot one. I'll be sure to watch every film that Jeon Ji Hyun, and up to this point I've done just that. I can't get enough of her.
bob_barron Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 I see nothing wrong with Carrey's dramatic roles. That includes The Majestic you know
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 I just tried looking up Jeon Ji Hyun on imdb and I couldn't come up with anything. What has she done? For the record by the way, I'd like to state I love Zhang Ziyi. As for actors I will almost always see a movie for, definitely Tom Cruise, Ed Norton, and most of the time, Bruce Willis. I also like Jim Carrey and Will Ferrell quite a bit myself, but a lot of the movies I see and enjoy often times don't have big-name casts. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention Kevin Spacey, and on the actress side, Kate Winslet.
Downhome Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Jeon Ji Hyun is a 22 year old Korean actress who has been in the following films: White Valentine Il Mare My Sassy Girl Uninvited Windstruck
godthedog Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 tony leung. between 'in the mood for love', 'chunking express', 'hard-boiled', 'flowers of shanghai' and 'hero', he's never let me down. i may go to the midnight show of 'infernal affairs' later tonight. maggie cheung has never let me down either, but i don't know if i'd go to a movie solely because i knew she was in it. EDIT: okay, scratch that. i just saw 'infernal affairs', and the fucker let me down.
bobobrazil1984 Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Tom Hanks, pretty much everything he's been in has been good to great and he's just really good. That streak was broken recently though as the ladykillers was absolutely awful, but I still have faith. Denzel Washington is up there too, but I have missed a movie here and there, only ones that looked really unremarkable, but he's usually a great indicator of quality.
Guest DVD Spree Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Oh man, I forgot Stephen Chow. Now I have to kick my own ass.
Black Lushus Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Yul Brenner, no doubt about: The Magnificent Seven, The King And I, Westworld, Futureworld...THAT guy was gold...
