Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted October 17, 2004 It looks like the Rams will yet again prove to be ratings death for MNF. I'm pretty sure the Bucs are the ratings death this week. just wait for the Bengals/Broncos game next week. THAT's death.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 Ruben Droughns has 146 yards rushing, 4 yards receiving and a rushing TD. Might I also add no fumbles. Me thinks Quentin Griffin just lost his starting job.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 Perhaps Green Bay can mount a comeback this season...very impressive win in Detroit, where they usually look like the junior varsity.

Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 17, 2004 I can just see the hype for Dec 6 now: Parcells vs. Holmgren MEDIOCRITY ON MONDAY NIGHT!!!!!~ (And WWE actually won't be solely responsible for once)
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 I can just see the hype for Dec 6 now: Parcells vs. Holmgren MEDIOCRITY ON MONDAY NIGHT!!!!!~ (And WWE actually won't be solely responsible for once) Both are HOF coaches... Holgren turned around Seattle, and now theyre finally a contender...Parcells is working miracles in Dallas. Both teams are now interesting and important in their divisions. Im willing to predict that game will get good ratings...and probably be a fairly entertaining game.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 This Steelers team is for real. Big Ben is for real. I love it. The Cowboys is a glorified expansion team. They should make Romo the starting QB.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 Let me just give a Nelson Muntz laugh to the Cowboys fans for letting the Steeler fans take over their stadium. Just wait until November 15th, since I heard a ton of Philadelphians were able to get tickets for the game in Dallas.
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 17, 2004 Uh, contender for WHAT exactly? Five of the Hawks next six games before that game are Arizona, Carolina, San Fran, Miami, and Buffalo. Excuse me if I'm not hyping them as some great team at 8-3 going in.........and that's my team to boot. As for the Cowboys, third (or maybe fourth by then) place isn't exactly interesting and important.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2004 I think with the Eagles, people forget how DOMINATING they have looked at other times over the past three seasons, however they still can't stop the run whatsoever, which was big in them not advancing to the superbowl, and their overall defense is not as good as past years. Also for all the "well Philly receivers suck, that is why" excuses I hear, I remember quite a few times their receivers were open in the playoffs, and McNabb simply either missed them, scrambled for 3 yards instead, or one-hopped the ball to them. I am not at all arguing how good the Eagles look right now, and yes, they are going to win the NFC East(sanz serious injuries to a lot of guys) but lets not forget, they have been in this position plenty of times before, until their weaknesses caught up to them in the playoffs. therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2004 For that issue of stopping the run, I simply blame Mark Simoneau since he can't tackle to save his life. Also their defense is probably about the same, or maybe a little better than last year, since Sheppard and Brown were playing a lot last year due to Troy Vincent's injuries and Bobby Taylor's injuries/whining and they were ready to take over anyway. I would also say that their pass rush is better this year too. A lot of the run defense problems from last year can be summed up with two conclusions: 1)They had a ton of injuries at the DT position and 2)They are an undersized defense, so the run can be a problem sometimes. Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 18, 2004 I think it's safe to say that Koren Robinson is now to me what Jeff Weaver is to AngleSault. Meaning if the Raiders wanna take him on for Jerry Rice I couldn't do it fast enough................

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 18, 2004 And they have bigger needs than QB to waste the high pick on one. The Bills have been killing themselves with wasted high picks and the Packers need immediate holes filled. Fourth or Fifth round? Sure, pick one then. Craig Nall is the QB of the future for the PAckers. Or JT O'Sullivan, who I'm not a big fan of but that's who they acquired in the McKenzie trade so they mgiht be expecting big thigns out of him. I think Nall's a hell of a prospect, he's essentially Favre Jr. from what I've seen of him. Y'know all the teams that took QB's in the first round this year, I didn't feel they needed to take them, and I was right except in the case of Big Ben, though I had a feeling he'd come out and be the second coming of Daunte Culpepper. He's not though, he is MUCH better. Culpepper still uses his athletic ability more than his head, whereas Ben is the complete package. And now you've got Eli and Phillip Rivers rotting on the sidelines where they should be, because Drew Brees and Kurt Warner are just that much better. Chargers should have used that pick on Roy Williams or any receiver instead, and the Giants could have used some help on the d-line or give them another option on offense besides Toomer and Shockey. That was a team that was definitely in need of a good coach, though. Anyways, 38-10 today, Pack Pack Pack. With the next two games coming up against Dallas and Washington, I could see Green Bay back up to .500 going into their bye week, getting ready, and maybe start looking more like the Super Bowl team and less like the bust team. Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 18, 2004 Chargers should have used that pick on Roy Williams or any receiver instead OO OO OO but they have, as was so hilariously stated by a disgruntled Charger fan on Bruce Jacobs' show back in August, RICOCHET CALDWELL!!!!~ And they also have Nate Kaeding, who can kick the ball off to the 20-yard line

Well Washington will be coming off their bye week for the Packers game(@FedEx) Washington's defense will be ranked #2 in the league after today, and that as without Phillip Daniels on the line and Lavar Arrington playing too. Portis had 171 rushing yards today and I don't think Green Bay's run defense is that good, but I think it will be a good hard fought, close game. (Go Skins). Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 18, 2004 No lo comprehende? That's alright, maybe Parcells can work some miracles next week eh snuffy? That was the ramblings of a disjointed Charger fan which was quite hilarious actually, but hell, they've won as many games as the 'contending' Seahawks--who I'm sure will have everybody up in arms about how great they are in three weeks after they've beaten Arizona, Carolina, and San Francisco. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 18, 2004 Chargers should have used that pick on Roy Williams I got a novel idea... take the best OL in the draft so you can have him block for the best RB in the league. Crazy.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2004 Big Ben could very well be for real, but don't think that he won't eventually cool off and look like a confused rookie some time during this process. It is only a matter of time with rookie QBs, even the best of 'em.
