res37618 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 Knowing that our local Wal-Mart almost always has the newest WWE DVD's on the release date (at least for the last year or so), I headed to Wally-World this morning to purchase the Unforgiven '04 DVD scheduled to be released today. I got there and, alas, no Unforgiven. I was kinda shocked, it seemed like they'd become a fairly reliable and inexpensive source for the WWE shows recently. I checked FYE in our local mall and they had it, but at $24.99. I refuse to pay that, considering Wal-Mart and online stores like DeepDiscountDVD.com usually have it at a must more reasonable price ($13-$15). DeepDiscountDVD doesn't have it listed either. Kinda strange. So, has anyone seen it at their local Wal-Mart? Just kinda curious as to whether it's just the ones around this area, or whether most of them don't have this release. I was in the process of emailing one of the mods and letting them know what had happened. But thank you for being a complete and utter ass and calling me retarded. I've posted on here before, and I know how it works. I'm so glad, though, there's wonderful people like you on here to belittle and berate someone over something that was a complete accident. What a dickweed . . . . What a retarded reply In all seriousness, I haven't seen Unforgiven in the Walmarts near me. Maybe it's not out to Walmart yet. I work for Wal-Mart, and I can tell you they absolutely fucking suck when it comes to release dates for some movies and almost all games. I'm not surprised in the least. SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 I'll keep my eyes out for it at Best Buy (although the store I work at never put Summerslam on the shelves, and only had the Chris Benoit dvd for a week).

The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 I work for Wal-Mart, and I can tell you they absolutely fucking suck when it comes to release dates for some movies and almost all games. Seconded. They STILL don't have the Eddie DVD out at the one I work at, but they've got the empty space where it belongs.
algrim 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 In the Walmart near my house, they had the Eddie DVD at $18.88,and the fixed Summerslam DVD at $14.86. I'll tell you guys if I find the Unforgiven DVD.
res37618 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 I'll keep my eyes out for it at Best Buy (although the store I work at never put Summerslam on the shelves, and only had the Chris Benoit dvd for a week). Yeah, I checked our Best Buy as well . . . they don't have Unforgiven '04, nor do they have SummerSlam '04 OR Benoit's set (or WM XX for that matter). But, they have about 9 copies of the Tenth Anniversary RAW and about 6 of the latest Divas DVD, plus the Great American Bash '04 and Bad Blood '04. No rhyme or reason whatsoever. FYE has the best selection, but they rip you a new asshole with their prices. I honestly don't see how entertainment stores like that maintain enough business to stay open, when you can buy stuff so much cheaper at a major discount store or online. Anyway, that's another rant :-)
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 Mine has Benoit, Eddie and SS'04. They had Vengeance '04, and it was gone in like 3 days, never to be seen again. I know they didn't sell out.

Summerslam's fixed? I bought one at Circuit City two weeks ago and it was one of the messed up copies. I bought the Eddie DVD at Walmart about 2-3 weeks before it was supposed to be released. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 What exactly was the audio problem? The Fink announcing the contestants in the ME was a little choppy on mine, but that's not really a big deal.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 What exactly was the audio problem? The Fink announcing the contestants in the ME was a little choppy on mine, but that's not really a big deal. On the screwed up version, there's no sound for the last 14 minutes of the show.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 On the screwed up version, there's no sound for the last 14 minutes of the show. Oh, that would suck. Mine is fixed. I bought it at Wal-Mart a week or two ago out of a stack of many. I'm assuming Wal-Mart never got the bad copies. I also got the Eddie DVD WAY ahead of time from Wal-Mart. They got the Eddie/Benoit DVDs quickly. I'm pretty sure they'll be stocking Unforgiven by now.
slimm44 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 I haven't checked but usually Best Buy has it on it's regular release date. The wal-mart I go to has never had WWE DVDs but last week I saw Vengeance '04, too bad I already bought it
algrim 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 Just got back from Walmart. I spoke to a person that works in the electronics department, and he told me that they should be getting it in the next 2 weeks. I also went to Best Buy, and they have the fixed Summerslam DVD (the person there told me they had a new batch of them), the Eddie DVD, the Benoit DVD and the Unforgiven DVD. It's $19.99. The fixed Summerslam has that audio problem when the Fink was announcing Orton, but that must've happened at the event or else they would've fixed it. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 The fink's mishap did actually happen, as The King makes a comment about it during the broadcast.
