Guest Brian Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 God. they could have sent Lowe up there to strikeout.
Guest Smues Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I just got home, was listening on the radio on the drive home. Oh..My..God...was that a TERRIBLE rendition of God Bless America by Scott Stapp, and the song already sucked, I didn't think anyone could make it worse. Haven't you learned yet? There is nothing so shitty that Scott Stapp couldn't make worse. -=Mike Having seen him live in concert I should have known by now. I'd say this was the worst thing I've ever seen, but it doesn't top Scott finding a girl dying of lukemia in the audience and telling her it's ok because he believes in god. Or saying "Well goddamnit..oh shit I'm sorry" and then crossing himself on stage. Those are true stories? You can never tell with Jesus V 2.0 -=Mike Oh yes they're both true. Went to a Creed concert with my girlfriend, ahh the things we do for love. At least Our Lady Peace was good. Scott was whacky all night. He'd try to act like a typical rock star one moment, then switch to super christian the next. With the height of it obviously being when he said GOD DAMNIT..oh shit I'm sorry! and then crossed himself on stage. And then he finds that girl dying in the audience and tells her it's all fine. I'm sure her parents loved that. The whole concert felt like a church service and I asked my girlfriend when they would pass the collection plate, but then I looked at the price on my ticket and realized they already had.
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I can smell the Cardinals rally already. How do you not score at least a run with the bases loaded and none out?

That's so odd, because I imagined a pact with Satan for his career. -=Mike
Guest MikeSC Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I've never seen a team roll up and die in the WS to this degree. The Cards are anti-clutch. -=Mike
Bruiser Chong Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Just three more outs until the hardcore Sox fans and fairweather fans who've stood by their team for two long, agonizing weeks.
Guest Smues Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I would not want to be a cop on the night shift in Boston right now.
bob_barron Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Just three more outs until the hardcore Sox fans and fairweather fans who've stood by their team for two long, agonizing weeks. Three more outs and I can return my hat!
Guest Smues Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Three more outs and no more McCarver for awhile, and no more watching fox and having put up with all these horrid Nike ads and HOUSE MD.
Guest Cerebus Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 To think, my grandparents weren't alive last time the Red Sox won and here I am...
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I still think the Cards are coming back. and there it is. Lead off single by Pujols.
The Mandarin Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Bosox lose in 7, I see it now. Sarcasm.
Guest Smues Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 My Grandma was alive the last time the Red Sox won a series, I think she was 5. She's not happy about seeing another she wanted the Cardinals to win (after the Braves got knocked out).
Guest Brian Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I still the Cards are coming back. and there it is. Lead off single by Pujols. Do you bet against the Sox every series or something?
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 And if it ends tonight, Scott Rolen, the Cardinals' cleanup hitter, finishes 0-15 in the World Series. Has that ever been done before?
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I still the Cards are coming back. and there it is. Lead off single by Pujols. Do you bet against the Sox every series or something? Yeah. Not that I want them to lose. I have no problem with them winning, in fact I would prefer them to win. It's history. Shit, I'd bet against my Giants if they got into the playoffs knowing their history.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Ha..it sounds like the St. Louis fans have turned on the Cards. Do I hear more people cheering for Boston?
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Well I'll be damned...they did it.
Guest Smues Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 0-15 in the series, and like 0-12 in the NLDS. If he doesn't get 9 hits in the NLCS he'd have nothing. You'd think he was gary sheffield as a brave in the playoffs or something.
Guest Smues Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Boston has now won a world series more recently then the Yankees. Mwahahaha
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 A tad anti-climactic, but I doubt Sox fans would've wanted to endure any more drama. Congrats Sox. 3rd straight wild card champs to win it all.
starvenger Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Winning the World Series by winning eight in a row. Very, VERY impressive.
Slayer Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Countdown to TSM crash in 3... 2... 1...
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Why did they show Jimmy Fallon?
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Why did they show Jimmy Fallon? I think he's filming a movie about the Sox.
