JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Since I'm doing a research paper on election night media coverage, maybe you guys can help me out here: 1) Did all states have the same poll closing times this year as they did in 2000, or did any states change? 2) Is there a web page that lists what time each network called each state for Bush or Kerry? Thanks!

Guest MikeSC Report post Posted November 3, 2004 For the first time in my life, I am proud to be a Canadian. Here's something I'm sure you've heard before: we Americans are quite glad you're up there instead of down here with us. Gracious, senior. Maybe when your best friend comes home in a bodybag, it'll hit home for you. Or when your uncle loses his job. Maybe your child will be a homosexual and will be ostracised and be deprived of equal status as everyone else. This is like the 1950's again, and it is going to have damaging results. Wow, you really are clueless. -=Mike Enlighten me. Please. I don't wish to --- considering you're Canadian and I cannot care less what you think. -=Mike

It's a volunteer military, unemployment only affects those who don't want to work and homosexuals are not minorities and shouldn't be treated as such. DMann2003 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I'm pretty sure Bush won, I disagree with his job performance, I supported Kerry, but if he's elected, he's elected. I'm open to working with Mike, KKK, Slapnuts, Vyce, etc cause just like America, this board is split. I'm dissappointed but I'll say one thing, bitching about it and pouting ain't gonna get anything done.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Kerry says that there's roughly 250,000 votes outstanding in Ohio and that, once they're all counted, he'll win. I'm having visions of Baghdad Bob right about now.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 And if you think I was going to vote for Kerry with this bizarre belief that life will be better with the Democrats in the White House then you are nuts. Life wasn't one BIT better for us under Clinton. All I wanted was four years of a gridlocked government so the rest of the country could gasp for air and recover the economy without someone raising the national debt through the roof. Guest Loss Report post Posted November 3, 2004 You do realize that the President of the US is leader of the free world, right? And Canada is part of the free world. Therefore, whether you "care" or not, having that opinion is valid. Bush can't very well be leader of the free world when the free world despises him, can he? teke184 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 You do realize that the President of the US is leader of the free world, right? And Canada is part of the free world. Therefore, whether you "care" or not, having that opinion is valid. Bush can't very well be leader of the free world when the free world despises him, can he? Canada as part of the free world has been debatable lately, especially since their recent movement to let the large Muslim minorities govern themselves through Sharia law. They've also been telling us "Go to Hell!" for roughly 4 years, so 4 more years of Bush won't be any different. It's not like Kerry would be able to "mend fences" while fixing some of our more pressing issues.
Guest Steel_Fury Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Just for interests sake, what made the Bush supporters vote for him. I am genuinly curious. I voted for Bush, why? I personally believe that he is better for our economy, our security, and our future in general. I belive that he has similar core values to me. I believe that conservatism and capitalism are better for people as a whole than are liberalism. George Bush has the balls to put it all on the line for what he believe in. I'm having visions of Baghdad Bob right about now. But he's losing ground and the votes are in Republican counties. He really just needs to accept this. He blew it. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 1) Did all states have the same poll closing times this year as they did in 2000, or did any states change? Unfortunately, it looks like my homestate is going Democratic again this year due to the Yucaa Mountain controversy. New Mexico, Iowa, and Wisconsin, normally Democratic states are teasing a Bush win.

teke184 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Moving on... With 87% of the precincts reporting in South Dakota, John Thune has a 7,000 vote lead over Tom Daschle in the Senate race. If Kerry doesn't pout and cause a scene over the Presidential election, Daschle sure as hell will over his Senate seat.

Unfortunately, it looks like my homestate is going Democratic again this year due to the Yucaa Mountain controversy. New Mexico, Iowa, and Wisconsin, normally Democratic states are teasing a Bush win. It's a 3000 vote difference with only about 44% of all returns in. Chances are that returns from Las Vegas, Carson City, Reno, and other big cities are in and that they're waiting on returns from small towns like Podunk, Sheepdip, and Desperation.
