Guest player Report post Posted November 3, 2004 During the 2004 NBA champions', the Detroit Pistons, ceremony today, each player wore a replica of the World Heavyweight Title. That's pretty amazing. Each player had his name engraved on the nameplate, too. Talk about an ego boost for HHH.
Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Am I missing something?.... Why exactly did they do this?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 3, 2004 They won the NBA Title. Those belts signify WORLD CHAMPIONS. It's a nice ego boost for HHH indeed.

Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 How is this huge publicity for WWE? How is this an ego boost for HHH?
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 So? People still look at wrestling as white trash. Just because a bunch of basketball players are wearing wrestling belts just shows in some peoples eyes that they are low-class.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 3, 2004 HHH will twist it to saying "These rich famous people want to be me"
what 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 HHH will twist it to saying "These rich famous people want to be me" No, not at all. It's not even any publicity either. People know wrestling exists.

Mole 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 How is this huge publicity for WWE? How is this an ego boost for HHH? I was thinking the same thing. When I saw the HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! title, I thought Katie Vick came back to life or something.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I wonder who is Rasheed Wallace's favorite wrestler?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 3, 2004 but it's not they are holding a WWE sign up. Boxing has championship belts too. If a 5 second shot of a basketball team wearing replica belts on this election night is publicity for WWE...then they really have issues.
Kardo 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 What the hell is wrestling? Something this guy called Nova invented.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Are you sure it was Rasheed Wallace idea? I read tons of interviews with Ben Wallace, where he states he loves pro wrestling, and its favorite sport other then Basketball.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I wonder how much crack he had to pass out to get everyone else to wear them.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I can't believe Larry Brown allowed for such a cheap "classless" gimmick.

Guest cpac Report post Posted November 3, 2004 At least the Pistons actually earned their championships. Triple H on the other hand plays backstage politics, kisses ass and bangs the bosses daughter to "earn" his championships.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I don't think this is any publicity at all. None of the captions made even a passing mention of the belts.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Hunter was already a 3 time Champion before he banged Stephanie...it's just the other 5 or 6 it's credited for.
