The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I'm not talking about Austin flipping people off or Jericho pissing in drinks, but stuff that could be viewed offensive and was pretty much commended by fans and possibly announcers. How about Undertaker breaking the Japanese flag over his knee and throwing it into Yokozuna's coffin with him? Some stuff the NAO did in their heel run got cheers, if I recall. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 The Winner: HBK: Nominated for... Wiping his nose with the Canadian flag. Sticking the Canadian flag UP his nose. Sticking the Canadian flag in his crotch. Humping the Canadian flag. Hogan and Warrior both ripped apart an Iraqi flag (RR 91 and WM VII respectively). Angle saying to Kaientai that the Japanese leader was the "head ninja". Ok, that was comedy, as was his stuff with Essa Rrrrrrrios. The Un-Americans upside-down flag gimmick kinda annoyed me. JBL goose-stepping while giving the Hail Hitler sign in a tour of Europe this year.

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted November 3, 2004 As a Canadian, Nothing HBK did was offensive. I find what JBL and Taker did FAR more.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 ...He desicrated a country's flag. I'm American, but I find that to be the most offensive thing anyone can do besides torching it. Oh, I forgot, you love Shawn Michaels and he can get away with wiping his ass with the flag too I bet. Yet Undertaker simply breaks the flag pole over his knee with the flag intact and untouched and tosses it on Yokozuna is the worst thing ever. If it's wrong to do it to 1 flag, why is not to another? Stephen 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I'm pretty sure Bret Hart didn't like Shawn Michaels doing all that stuff to the Canadian flag even though they were fueding. I don't care for it was for heel heat or not but Shawn Michaels humping the flag in Montreal is not cool. It was disgusting
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Whoops, I missed the sub-header...uh...still anything where a face fucks around with another countries flag for no reason. (mad because can't badmouth HBK anymore)

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 honestly, that didn't offend me in the least and I actually thought it was a clever move by DX to get the NOD to handle their dirty work...the only thing I really never liked was HHH's "your people" line, but I'm going to just assume it was all character and not really him... Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 well that was just because of the element in Sturgis, I wouldn't blame any bookers for it, other than stupidly booking black athletes in a racist environment...
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted November 3, 2004 When DX did the NOD parody didn't they put black face paint on and basically spend the entire skit using black stereotypes for all the jokes and not much really in the way of making fun of anything about the actual members of NOD?My minds a little fuzzy so I need someone to refresh my memory. The entire Eddie/Brock feud was basically Brock making fun of Eddie's Spanish culture. When I was watching the 4 way tag match on the Eddie dvd their were multiple ppl in the crowd with Eddie/Chavo signs proclaiming they stole their lawnmower or that they mow their lawns.Classy stuff. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I'm pretty sure X-Pac did when he was "Mizark Henry", the others though didn't do that, i'm fuzzy like you on that...
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I didn't think the DX parody of NOD was overly offensive or stereotypical. The whole "Mizark" thing mocked a small subculture (those who said things like "for shizzle") more than the entire race. If they'd thrown all the brutal stereotypes out there it'd be one thing, but the little that they did wasn't too bad.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 yeah the NOD parody didn't bother me at all, in fact that as well as the Corporation Parody made me laugh hard...HHH as the Rock both times was excellent...

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2004 Hey Dynamite Kido, The "Hummer Angle" was not Vince Russo's idea. It was first used in summer 1999 in WCW. Russo didn't arrive in WCW until late October, 1999.
