Guest MikeSC Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Let the world try and interfere with us. -=Mike You really don't want that. No, really. Oh, if Europe is leading the charge, it'll be a whole lot of nothing. Even less if we decide to slaughter blacks and Jews --- considering their rampant racism and anti-Semitism. -=Mike

We spend half a trillion each year, blah blah blah. The world does run on bombs, though. It runs on cash. And once all those foreigners pull out of all their US-based investments, things'll get seriously entertaining*. * not entertaining
Guest SP-1 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 To be fair to the "kids" -- pretty much everyone at my school voted. For Bush. No doubt influenced by their parental units Please. No doubt influenced by a personal conviction. The "sheep" mentality is a stupid fallback point. Personal conviction eh? Is this code for "cuz dat's who jaysus wood vote fer" ? Sorry, sorry... I just read a report about the evangelicals and how they secured the vote despite being the least informed of the voting bloc... and I got angry. Least informed by whose standards? It's just kind of funny hearing that. I look at the people here at my college verses the super-liberals at liberal schools around her who would worship Michael Moore if given the chance and the word "uninformed" just doesn't seem to apply to the people here.
Guest SP-1 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Would France lead this charge against us? All we'd need is a stop sign in the middle of the ocean and they'd turn around.

I don't think he is referring to the students at your college.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Why does it sound like Mike has "the rest of the world" confused with just merely France?
EricMM Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I would, NoCalMike. Fuckers voting for a candidate who is against gay marriage or against abortions because it's the "Christian" thing to do. Meanwhile, he starts wars. Yeah.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Good news and Bad news for Kerry Good news: He has the second most popular votes in History Bad news: He has the second most popular votes in this election Great News: Kerry is the best loser in the history of U.S. Presidental Elections...
Guest SP-1 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 He enforced the responsibilities of the United Nations when they were too pansy to do it. He acted on information that was reliable to the best of his knowledge at the time to preemptively protect the United States. He did his job.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Natural resources and manpower, I think. Despite the fact that I can't stand his policies here at home, I do enjoy the fact that Bush isn't a suck-up to the rest of the world.

Guest macheteofodin Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 One of the concerns for me with this election is it seems like a large proportion of the country came out for "moral issues." I have no problem with having morals. I mean I have morals. The problem is when people try to force these morals on others that don't share them it causes tension. This is one of the reasons our country is "divided." We've got so-called "intellectuals" and so-called "moralists." Both sides are horribly stubborn and don't see the obvious middle road with these issues. Bush sees them (Civil Unions for example), so that makes me happy...but I'm not sure if the members of Congress do (like the idiot from Oklahoma) and apparently the stubborn portion of the American public doesn't either. We do not need to further regulate "obscene behavior." I think TV is fine but radio could be a little more leanient. Do not touch the porn industry. It's my only means for happiness. You'll have to pry the porn from my cold, dead, sticky hands. As for intertnational dealings and terrorism. I honestly believe steps will be taken to restore our image. I don't particullarly agree with the way Bush is fighting terrorism, but I also don't have a better solution...so.... KEEP MY PORN, DAMN IT!

I don't particullarly agree with the way Bush is fighting terrorism, but I also don't have a better solution...so.... KEEP MY PORN, DAMN IT! I had this debate with my parents the other night. Morals are subjective. What offends you, may not offend me... however there are a few morals that we can all agree with like not killing one another lol I know MANY people where I live (bible belt) that voted for Bush simply because he wants to pass a gay marriage ban. While his economic policies are debateable, most of these friends of mine, when pressed for the definition of a deficit, couldn't answer the question, nor could they name the central issues of the campaign. I also know that theres a great amount of people that only voted for Kerry because they hate Bush and they couldn't answer the questions either. This kind of thinking offends and bothers me. The "I'm voting for Bush because he doesn't want to allow gay marriage" people drive me nuts because the thinking behnd it, in my opinion, is selfish. It's pretty much saying "jobs? Fuck jobs! Keep the queers from marrying and I'll be happy". Bush could be the next Carter and these people will still vote for him because they think Jesus put him there. Dumbfuck ultra-liberals bother me as well. "Why do you hate Bush?" "Well... cuz he's stupid and we're in a war" "Okay, why do you disagree with the war?" "Because people are like, dying and stuff"
Guest Cerebus Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Fuck's sake, its two days after the election and people are already assuming that the 3.5 million people were religious anti-gay/abortion/whatever that came out for Bush. It's too early god damn it.
Guest SP-1 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Are you watching the news, Cerebus? Everyone's already trying to put a super negative spin on the new term before it even begins. Don't expect anything less from the rest of the libs anywhere else.

Let them, it'll just mean more election wins for the Republicans if the DNC yet again doesn't figure out why they aren't doing well.
Gary Floyd Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Well, now that the elections over, this only means one thing... "Backlund in 2008: Vote for him Plebians!" That or Gene Snitsky http://snitskyin2004.ytmnd.com/

CanadianChris Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I'm waiting for a celebrity to run for presidency. That will likely happen whenever Amendment XXVIII gets passed.

It's too early god damn it. ah okay... so it can be assumed that the majority of Kerry voters were voting Kerry because they were "anti-Bush" but we can't assume that a majority of Bush supporters in the south were doing so based on family values (anti-gay is listed in the family value handbook nowdays it seems)? Double standard?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I didn't think that all Kerry voters were doing so because they were anti-Bush. I thought that most Kerry voters were just the usual uneducated drivel that usually votes Democrat...
The Czech Republic Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I'm waiting for a celebrity to run for presidency. That will likely happen whenever Amendment XXVIII gets passed. "Foreign-born citizens cannot run for President." EDIT: "Okay fine they can."

Guest BDC Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 As long as the right can be called hate-mongering, gay-bashing christian sheep, I think calling the left uneducated, bleeding-heart whiners is perfectly acceptable.

That was a sarcastic joke you twit And I never said that conservatives are uneducated bible thumping hicks. The informed Republican voter that knows the real issues and votes on them I admire. Those that vote for him because they think Jesus would vote for him and because they're extremely homophoic... thats what bugs me to no end
