Red Baron 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Is it safe to say Pittsburgh is going to win it all this year? It's week 9... New England, won't make it to the finals this year, I don't think. Phili is going to bust later down the stretch. Same with Indy. I don't see Pittsburgh going down unless injuries.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Which isn't entirely out of the question, since BenRo's knee's been bothering him a bit. It's not "safe" to say ANYONE is going all the way yet.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Philly lost in the same fashion they have lost in the NFC Championship games. Against a smash mouth football team that designs their plays against Philly's weaknesses. Now it is only ONE LOSS, and the sky is in NO WAY falling in any aspect, but face it philly fans, what you experienced today was the same type of loss you have had in the past two NFC Championship games from weaknesses that have CONTINUED TO GO UN-Addressed. Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 7, 2004 The AFC basically boils down to Pittsburgh, NE and Indy (assuming they can get lucky and draw teams they can just launch TD's all over.) The NFC after Philly (which could be looking at one of those potential collaspes, considering they play 3 straight Divison games) is the only team that looks real. The rest of the conf. is a crapshoot. No team has that "We're In" tag yet, not even the Hot steelers or reigning Patriots. Far as we know, it could easily end up being San Diego Vs Minnesota. KingPK 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Great fake by Adam Vinatieri, throwing to Brown for the TD. Martz looks like he wants to kill someone. Indy's D has to at least not give up 30 points every game. Manning threw 5 TDs against KC and they STILL lost.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 7, 2004 That sounds exactly like Minnesota. Read: defense.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Pittsburgh could go on to finish 7-9 and out of the playoffs...That's unlikely, but the point is you never know.

Let's have Minnesota beat Philly in the NFC Championship, have Buffalo beat Cleveland in the AFC Championship, and see what happens when Minnesota and Buffalo meet in the Super Bowl and can't win. (Of course this dream is impossible since both Buffalo's and Cleveland's seasons are in the shitter)
KingPK 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Rams are starting to fall apart here. Martz will blame the refs after the game, I'll bet.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Nice ending to that game. Gotta love a game ending INT when the receiver gets tackled before the ball gets anywhere near him.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I was getting ready to be worried because the Ravens haven't won a game that they didn't have an interception (4-0 with an Int, 0-3 without) Ed Reed has the longest INT return for a TD at 106 yards to go with McAllisters 107 yard missed FG return 2 years ago against the Broncos on MNF. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Nice ending to that game. Gotta love a game ending INT when the receiver gets tackled before the ball gets anywhere near him. The ball was there, he dropped it although Ray got there a tad early. Still a catchable ball.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 And unlike the Patriots game, this time was the Steelers exploiting an obvious weakness. The Eagles could really struggle in the playoffs if they run up against strong running teams like Seattle, New York or Green Bay.

The ball was there, he dropped it although Ray got there a tad early. Still a catchable ball. It's still should've been called. Lewis was tacling him as the ball was getting there. Philly is the new Vikings. They'll have great regular seasons the next couple of years and never make it to the Super Bowl due to poor defenses.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Ball was tipped though. Although I'm sure Lewis did not see that as he was busy making a tackle.
Skywarp! 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 The Giants are too hard to read. How you can go from beating good teams on the road to losing to the worst teams at home is beyond me. I wish they'd be more consistant, but in today's NFC they'll probably end up being a wildcard anyway.

This is exactly what they did to the Pats. Couldn't Reid have prepared a little bit fuckin better? Birds need to bounce back and squash Dallas next Monday by like 4 TDS. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I'm not exactly sure how you prepare for Jerome Bettis plodding for something like 3.5 yards a carry. That's essentially what the Steelers did, run the ball twice for 3.5 yards a carry, then either run it for another 3 or do a pass. That sorta thing is hard to defend and eats up a ton of clock. Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 He averaged 4.5 yesterday, actually. And if Duce was available, he'd probably have chewed up even more yards.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I think part of the problem was they prepared for Duce all week, only for him to be pulled from the game about an hour beforehand. McNabb trying to force the ball to TO didn't help matters either. I think it says alot that they have stopped giving the ball to Freddie Mitchell, and our 3rd down conversion percentage ghas gone down every single week.
