Kevin Smith isn't a wrestling booker, but he really is a smart guy... I bet if he was to book a wrestling show, he'd know that the fans want to see WRESTLING. ..Of course you'd have your dick and fart jokes in between matches, but he'd still be smart enough to book what the fans want to see.

Too much talking in the beginning but they made up for it with keeping it mostly in the ring for the rest of the show. DDP vs. Raven is something I'll be looking forward to. They really need to drop the PPV price to $19.99. I might consider buying them for that but there's no way I'm paying $30.

Guest Donners Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 I suppose Impact could have had its match times cut because of the Best Damn Sports Show specials and Victory Road - they just assumed the fans would see enough TNA wrestling for the week with those. Certainly shouldn't happen too regularly, though.

They still need to work on beefing up the wrestling, but the angles are all pretty interesting and they're giving people mic time. Although it's just with the Orlando crowd, you can tell some guys are finally starting to get over as "stars" like Petey Williams. Styles was already a star but seems to be moving up into their big draw.
Guest COCOPUFFS Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 The show seemed ok, but the Nash promo was way too long and boring. Sabin and Shelly was pretty good for the time given, monty and raven wasn't bad, and Hardy actually seemed motivated for his match.

BUTT Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 It was just on where I go to college, and to fit it in a 45-minute time slot, they cut out DDP's debut! They just cut the segment and went from "Who's in the limo?" to "Oh my God did you just see that? DDP!!" Even though we didn't get to see DDP (except for his backstage interview with Douglas). The promo from the "Kings of Wrestling" was brutal. Hall is weird-looking, and Nash looks old with his short greying hair. And that "Still D.R.E." ripoff they come out to is just awful.
