JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Didn't see this posted anywhere... "After debuting at the Victory Road PPV, Randy Savage called up TNA officials this afternoon and pulled out of all future appearances. According to one source, Savage claimed the company had a "unsafe working environment" stemming from Savage's meeting backstage with Hulk Hogan at the PPV. According to the source, when Savage blew off Hogan backstage during their brief conversation, Hogan offered to step outside and settle their differences, or to let everything be in the past. Savage ignored the comment and walked away. Savage, who made a cameo appearance at the end of Victory Road, had been scheduled to appear at tonight's Impact! taping. The Turning Point PPV was originally scheduled to feature Randy Savage & Monty Brown & AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett & The Outsiders in the main event on 12/5, but with Savage bolting, that is out the window. credit: PWInsider.com"

CubbyBr 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 This could be a blessing in disguise for The Truth. He could really step into a main role by being on the "TNA dream team" with Styles and Brown. I'm thinking that they're going to stick Jeff Hardy in that slot though.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Good. Now just go Brown Vs Jarrett straight up. Outsiders Vs 3LK is a credible Co-Main event. Styles/Petey Re-Match. That's a much better PPV to sell.

I'm thinking that they're going to stick Jeff Hardy in that slot though. Yeah, I'd like to see Truth in that spot, but they probably want some "starpower" to anchor that team, so unless Sting comes in, I'm almost positive that Hardy will be there. Good. Now just go Brown Vs Jarrett straight up. Outsiders Vs 3LK is a credible Co-Main event. Styles/Petey Re-Match. That's a much better PPV to sell The semi-main is going to be the Six Sides of Steel Match and Petey is most likely going to work with Sabin at the PPV, so these don't look likely. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Hey, TNA, here's a hint: DO NOT PUT ANYBODY ON YOUR PROGRAMMING WITH BIG PLANS FOR A BIG ANGLE THAT INVOLVES THEM WITHOUT HAVING A LEGALLY BINDING WRITTEN CONTRACT WITH THEIR SIGNATURE ON IT FIRST. Hogan fucked them over like this, and now, so has Savage.
slimm44 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Really it is TNA's mistake. Everyone knows the hate between Savage and Hogan, so why would they invite both guys to the show. You should have kept them apart from each other. Obviously Savage couldn't take being in the same company/arena with Hogan so why would he stay? EDIT: It didn't mention this but did he take Hardy with him? lol had to put that in there
Guest Ronnie755 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Savage's excuse for pulling out of TNA is lame if this doesn't indicate that Hulk Hogan might soon be working for TNA. This shouldn't even matter if its not for certain that Hogan will show up. Could there be something fishy going on here?

Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Maybe TNA can somehow get Hogan to come in...we know Hogan can at least still wrestle (Savage has the broken hip or something), and at least hasn't made an ass out of himself with a stupid CD....recently. If they have Hogan in the 6-man, I will pay for the PPV.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Savage is just a disaster in the ring. Anyone who saw his performance at the 2000 Dome Show will be quick to tell you Savage has no place ever getting in the ring again.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 10, 2004 He made a royal ass out of himself before the match and then couldn't even do the most basic of moves right. And to cap it off Rick Steiner fell off the top rope onto the floor because he slipped.
Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted November 10, 2004 What was the actual match? And how did he make an ass of himself?
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Just stalled forever. He would pose and then he was yelling at the announcer for some reason or other. I think it took at least 10 minutes from the time the bell rang for him to even consider actually trying to wrestle. It was him against Rick Steiner.

Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Sting didnt have a contract and that worked out. Sting, as probably one of the few Christians in wrestling to actually be serious about it, kept his word. Savage didn't.
