Smackdown spoilers for the 11/11/04 show

Recommended Posts

Got the spoilers here: (Hope they're legit)

http://www.pwrestlingnews.com/headlines/102072641.php

Thanks to Glen Bratton for the following:

This was the first wrestling event to ever be held at the new American Bank Center. Except for a small portion of the upper deck the building was full. It was an OK show overall.

No Dark matches tonight.

VELOCITY

Funaki def. Eddie Craven with a tornado DDT.

Hardcore Holly def. Kenzo Suzuki with the Alabama Slam.

Booker T def. Rene Dupree with an ax kick.

The Bashams def. Slam Shady and Russell Simpson These were two locals. Post match Danny and Doug argued all the way to the back.

SMACKDOWN

The Tough Enough contestants entered the ring and Al Snow announced that Nick Mitchell has been eliminated from the competition. Next we jumped into the Torrie Wilson Sex Test. The rules of the test were that each contestant would have to make out with a WWE diva for 15 seconds. Then the Diva would choose which contestant would make the best lover. Of course the Diva picked for this task was Mae Young. The lucky winner was Daniel Puder who then received a lap dance from Mae.

Rey Mysterio walked in on Chavo having a conversation with someone Chavo claimed to be an old friend. Which made most people in the crowd think Chavo Classic because he works indie shots in town on a semi-regular basis.

Rey Mysterio and Chavo def. Kidman and Spike when Rey hits Spike with a top rope splash.

Orlando Jordan meets up with Josh Mathews backstage. He tells Josh that he respects him and then attacks him with 2 hard slaps. After the commercial break, Josh Mathews asks Teddy Long for a match against Orlando Jordan. JBL will be in Jordan's corner and Booker T will be in Mathews' corner.

Josh Mathews def. Orlando Jordan after interference from Booker T.

RVD, Eddie, and Big Show cut a promo concerning who will be the 4th member of their Survivor Series tag team.

Eddie and RVD def. Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak after a double frogsplash. Carlito Caribbean Cool is on commentary during the match and spits apple at Michael Cole. Post match Eddie names John Cena the 4th member of his Survivor Series team.

Carlito cuts a promo with Teddy Long on John Cena.

Tough Enough voting segment.

JBL vows to leave Smackdown forever if he loses to Booker T this Sunday at Survivor Series.

Paul Heyman comes out and argues with Michael Cole and eventually shoves Cole. Tazz scares Heyman into the ring and out comes Heidenriech. Tazz removes his jacket and starts up the ring steps and out go the lights for the Undertaker. After a short brawl, Taker chokeslams, then tombstones, Heidenriech.

The Big Show def Kurt Angle via DQ when Jindrak and Luther Reigns interfere. Both Survivor Series teams were at ringside for the match. Carlito laied out both Eddie and RVD with the chain, which led to the finish. Kurt Angle, Luther and Jindrak put Show in a submission hold. Finally Show was helped to the back.

100% Sure that the Undertaker/Heidenreich segment won't air...unless they want to make Heidenreich look bad the week of the PPV.

My own thoughts:

-Sounds like a pretty boring "last show before the PPV" show. Big brawl to end the show with both teams in the ring, blah blah blah.

-JBL says he'll leave Smackdown forever if he loses to Booker T? So is it safe to say that JBL is retaining?

-I'm glad the Tough Enough stuff is so thoughtful and intriguing... :bonk: Honestly, who thinks this crap is a good idea?

-Josh Matthews gets another win...yay.

-Why have Taker get his hands on Heidenreich on the last show before a PPV? Why not prolong it until the PPV to try and get at least SOME anticipation for that match?

VELOCITY

Booker T def. Rene Dupree with an ax kick.

So they have the challenger to the title wrestle on Velocity?

That makes no sense.

Another SD I won't be watching.

JBL wrestled on Velocity a few months back a week before a PPV. Chris Benoit did heat duty the week after he lost the title.

Of course, people say they should have better talent on the B-Shows, but when it happens, it's complaining time.

Not the night before the PPV.

No one complained when Eddie was on this past week...as far as what I've seen.

I'm more surprised that Cena's back already. I thought he was going to be out til the Rumble or so. Must of been a short movie...

I bet Chavo's friend is his fucking horse from WCW. Pepe or whatever it was.

And I'm not going to even get in Tough Enough. How making out with Mae Young makes you "tough enough" is waaaay beyond me.

Consider this Fan SPOILED! I once purposely let the milk out at the Tanners so that Danny would drink it after it had SPOILED. I love WWF because it is intense!!!!!!!~

They haven't started the filming yet.

It's likely that Cena will play the "taped midsection" angle and job to someone (probably Angle) quickly.

No Nunzio or Shannon Moore? So, have they been released?

Anyway, this shows sounds AWFUL. JBL had BETTER not go over Sunday. The only thing that has kept me watching this show over the past couple of weeks was the push of Booker, and his probable title win. No Booker T as Champion = No more me watching.

Slowly, slowly Josh Matthews becomes the SmackDown! face equivalent of Jonathan Coachman.

But of course.

They have to build him up for their soon to be epic WrestleMania 21 match.

What upsets me is that it is actually possible for Jonathan Coachman to be on the WrestleMania card.

Sounds a lot better than last week. I'll watch, especially for the CW tag match.

But at least Josh has wrestling training.

You think he has sufficient to warrant a push as large as Jonathan Coachman received?

I know they didn't have anywhere else to put TE, but shit like this will guarantee that no network picks it up again.

I get the feeling that if I handed Vince a crate containing two million dollars, he'd accidentally leave it sitting outside the gates of his mansion.

If majority of the shit that WWE peddles through its weekly shows is picked up, Tough Enough shouldn't have a problem at all, especially seeing as it's through WWE.

You are forgetting that Cena is the second coming of Hulk Hogan by being nearly indestructible. So far SD has been doing better than RAW and this show seems like another winner to me.

That's not what I mean. TE used to be its own, standalone show. But they had trouble getting networks to buy the new season, so they incorporated it into Smackdown.

Where they turned it into a complete joke. It has none of the appeal of reality programs now.

Which means networks will be even less likely to buy it now.

I am going to go out on a limb and say I am 98% sure that the friend will be Paul London.

And Pepe was murdered by Norman Smiley.

I know that Tough Enough used to be its own show, but I didn't know that it was a hard sell to the networks this time around. Do you know why?

If it wasn't because of the influence of other WWE content, they shouldn't have much trouble should they hope to do it in future. I agree about the quality of this Tough Enough though - if the previous shows weren't even a proper price to pay for the competitors on their way to a WWE contract, what does that say about this one?

An insult to the guys who worked their asses off for years to get where they are now is what it is.

So the #1 Contender, Booker T, doesn't get a match on the main show before the PPV.

The TE segment could be funny, but i'm sure it will get old (no pun intended) rather quickly. Pretty much like the Diva search/Kamala stuff on RAW.

I think it's cool that Josh Matthews is getting a chance to work some matches. If I tune in to the show this week it will be because of that.

Bradshaw leaving if he loses??? This is terrible - that means either A)he's is guarranteed to win at the PPV or B)he's coming to RAW and live TV!!! AAAHHH!!!

But that doesn't mean there can't be a Pepe Jr.
